Jan 19,2025My wife and I recently visited Scotland for 10 days and used Arnold Clark for our rental car/SUV. From the beginning they were easy to work, even with us living in the USA. I was initially concerned with the lack of online communication from the website compared to other providers, but was quickly relieved when they were quite responsive and thorough over email. The booking process did take bit longer over email but was still quite easy as you fill out a profile of what you are looking for online so they can tailor things to you easily and give you the most relevant information. (Likely would have worked over the phone as well, but with the time difference it never worked out well). Pricing compared to our other options was hands down the best and was initially why we went with Arnold Clark. But it was the actual trip and service was in-country that has earned them my business whenever we return to Scotland or the UK in the future. The pickup from Glasgow airport was actually fairly easy to find and they send you detailed instructions on where to go through email. The van pickup on a Thursday was very quick and driver was extremely courteous. Once arriving to the lot our car was already ready and moving through the paperwork was quick and painless as we had already set things up through email. The people inside were not only good at their jobs but were easy to talk to and down to earth, as well. The return of the car was also seamless in terms of customer service and the van drive back to the airport, we maybe waited 4-5 minutes on a Saturday morning. The car itself was very clean and worked wonderfully without a hitch the entire trip, from Glasgow, though highlands up to Isle of Skye and those narrow roads, down through the Caringorms, and into Edinburgh and back to Glasgow. There was more than enough space for my wife and I and our bags as we had wanted a smaller car but they were sold out by the time we requested. If you have made it this far, our small SUV did just fine on the Isle of Skye, as we had been worried hearing about the narrow roads in/out of attractions and around the isle. TL:DR=I would highly recommend Arnold Clark to anyone who travels in the UK and especially Scotland in our experience. I will without a doubt be using them again when we return.

Jan 18,2025Special thanks to Amelia, who was very helpful, pleasant and informative and thank you for the free upgrade and extension. Will be soley using Arnold Clark and that branch going forward. Thank you for the lift back to the station also. One small gripe, when I picked the car up the car said 307 miles, but twice when I filled it up it was between 425 and 430 miles. Big difference. But other than that, spot on.

Jan 18,2025Excellent service from start to finish. The van, which in immaculate condition, was the extra long one and enabled us to move house in 2 journeys. Had the van for 1 day and only cost £46! Where others I looked at were over £100.
