Ali and her staff have always given a personal service advising on whether clothes look good and suit you and putting outfits together; it is a pleasure to shop in a relaxing place being served by people who care. Bakou always have a great range of clothes, I have not really needed to shop anywhere else over the years.

Dec 04,2023Such a delightful way to shop! I placed my order, followed by a jolly chat with owner Annie, to sort out a slight problem with fulfilling one item. A lovely parcel, wrapped in pink & purple, my most favourite colours, with contents superior to my expectation. Gorgeous gifts for some wonderful friends. The only drawback was the Royal Mail delivery, 5 days later than first expected! But so worth the wait. Good luck with your online shop & huge thank you xxx

Sep 28,2023This shop was a real find a few years back - the clothes are stylish and lovely and flatter those of us who don't have a Kate Moss figure. The staff are helpful without being pushy at all - I often disregard things on the rail but change my mind when they bring them in and I try them. They know what suits me better than I know myself. It's just a lovely experience shopping here which is such a change for those of us who aren't size 10 - 12. Can't recommend it enough.

Sep 22,2023Always been exceptional customer service, in the years I have shopped and purchased from Bakou. Recently I did an online purchase for the first time and it did not disappoint, even when I returned an item that was not to my liking, it was refunded instantly on the return received. I was also impressed that my items were delivered as if I got them from the shop, carefully package with tissue paper. I have been very fortunate to have this incredible clothing & accessories shop in my life. Also seen the journey it has taken at award shows, the owner clearly has been a huge inspiration to clothing of the plus size. Pure diamond, thank you for your continued hard work.

Sep 22,2023Always a pleasure shopping here. They have a great range of styles so I can always find something for any occasion from work, to weddings, to holiday wear. The service is great too and the friendly staff will offer advice and have, over the years, convinced me to try (and buy) items I would normally not consider. Not that they are pushy, they just suggest something that they know will look good on me.
