Apr 09,2025I can’t recommend Dom enough! As a first-time buyer, I was completely unaware of the mortgage process, but he made everything so simple and stress-free. From the very first meeting, Dom took the time to explain all my options in a way I could actually understand—no jargon, just clear advice tailored to my situation. Dom was incredibly patient, answering all my questions (and there were a lot!) while guiding me step-by-step, and made sure to update me that i would still be on the best rate during the 6 month wait till exchange. I would recommend and will definitely be in touch in the future.

Apr 01,2025Dom made the process as a first-time buyer more straightforward than I ever could have imagined. He offered me expert advice throughout the process, from agreement in principle to mortgage offer, I was kept regularly updated throughout and he was very helpful and patience explaining everything to me. Once I had received my mortgage offer Dom again went above and beyond as the rate dropped, he then got me on a lower rate mortgage after the original offer. Which was amazing news to receive! After the mortgage was secured, Dom then explained life insurance and building contents insurance in which he set up both policies to suit my needs which was very helpful. I look forward to working with Dom again when I come to renew! A huge thank you Dom at Barker Mortgages!

He explained everything in layman's terms, as I'm not very technical when it comes to financial stuff! I wouldn't go anywhere else now, I had been putting off my remortgage for so long as I was nervous about mortgage advisors. I didn't need to be nervous, Dom was fabulous

Dom is not only super knowledgeable and helpful, but also super friendly and was more than happy to answer (the million) questions we had. Being able to contact him via WhatsApp was great, and I would always get answers straight away to any questions I had - even on his days off! As first time buyers with absolutely no knowledge on mortgages in general, Dom made the process so much easier and kept us updated throughout. We cannot thank him enough!

Sep 29,2023My wife and I recently contacted Barker Mortgage services to support with mortgaging an offer for a new home. Firstly, Dom has a fantastic nature, communicates with great clarity, and is clearly very knowledgeable about his craft. This instills immediate trust and confidence in his services. With 'mortgages' being somewhat alien in how they work/types/rates etc and something we look at very rarely, having someone at the other end of the phone to explain (in detail) our options was incredibly helpful. Dom is incredibly diligent and provided great attention to detail in working out our affordability and what we could sensibly borrow and at what cost (give his whole market coverage). Note, this was different to what we had forecast via the various publicly available calculators and big corporate mortgage service providers (given the challenges and lack of clarity in steps provided by some of the other providers). Dom working through this with us meant we were able to have realistic expectations and comfort in what we could afford as well as the various monthly repayment options based on the different mortgage products available. Our situation required assessing multiple options such as porting our existing mortgage, as well as market wide research in order to work out the best option. Dom simplified the products on the table, saving us time and stress. The house we intended to purchase ended up being sold to another buyer, however, we will be using Dom's services for all future mortgage related activities (remortgage on current property, plus our next move). I have also recommended Dom to family and friends given his talents. Dom is extremely personable, readily available, and someone whose conscientious services you can trust in the process of making such major financial commitments. Thanks Dom.
