Birdkids is a family-owned business run by us, Clair and Glenn. We’re a husband and wife duo who love and value our customers. We sell "proper" toys (you won’t see a battery or screen on this site) with the proper service to match.

Clair is our purchasing department; rummaging through catalogues is her forte; finding you the best in traditional arts, crafts and toys, our brands include Djeco, Tender Leaf Toys, Floss & Rock, Moulin Roty, Janod, Rachel Ellen, Galt and many more! however, we’re also keen to support and introduce smaller independent brands that you may not have known about.
We are the shipping team; making sure your orders get to you for when you need them. This gives us the flexibility to give you the best service possible.
Therefore, at Birdkids, we are what makes us different. We are experienced in business however, we are not "corporate" people. We love what we do and have taken that enthusiastic energy into our brand and business.

Nov 25,2022Ok so the item has now finally arrived courtesy of the post office! It was very nicely packed clearly with care and it’s just what I wanted and good quality. Hence my upping the number of stars. Still annoyed at post office strikes though!! Post office hadn’t delivered as they are on strike!!!! Stores that offer online shopping should not send out by post office as they are unreliable. Please use tried and tested delivery companies, there are many good ones. So cant rate product yet but delivery not good.

Apr 08,2022I came to leave a review because I was really happy with my birdkids experience and was surprised there were bad reviews. My items came really quickly even though I ordered the cheaper delivery, and they were immaculate and beautifully packaged. The site is easy and fun to use and they have a really well curated selection, and information about the card games (not all sites do, and my kids are obsessed with Djeco card games, we get new ones every year and without summaries it's hard to guess how the game will be played unless you go off site to google). It was just all nicely and efficiently done, felt thoughtful and intelligent.

Apr 07,2022Two major items missing from the Tenderleaf toy I purchased. The wooden range they sell are not cheap. I purchased as a gift so a few months later when it was opened I discovered they were missing! When I contacted BirdKids they wouldn’t look into it and refused to send the item out. They have turned off comments and reviews from their Facebook and ignoring my emails! Won’t be ordering again, find somewhere else!

Feb 13,2022I have only just placed my order and am writing this review because of my experience of the website. I signed up to the newsletter with the promise of a discount code which I received by email a few minutes later. When I went to pay I put the code in and gave my credit card details. I tried multiple times for ages but couldn’t get the payment to go through. So I logged out then logged back in to try again, put in the discount code but was informed it was invalid. Tried several times but it kept saying the same thing. I was annoyed and considered going elsewhere but I had spent ages choosing my items so eventually I just gave up and paid full price. Strangely the website accepted my payment first time without the discount code!!!! This company has good products but I won’t use them again. I hate feeling like I’ve been taken for a ride and that’s how I felt after making my purchase!!
