I thought this was going to be the summer of a lifetime and it was not. I had to leave early due to a family emergency and I’m glad I left. I did the camp Phuket trip and we were told to budget £130 a week..... we spent around £600 each in the first week due to having to pay for all food and more activities. Please read They show you this amazing itinerary that shows all the amazing activities you are doing and how jam packed the trip is. Well the first day we got there we were given a list of activities that we had to pay extra for. Each around £25 and there was a list of about 10 or just under. If you didn’t pay extra you we’re left at the hotel to do nothing so no other choice really. A lot of extra money when we’ve already paid £1300 for this ‘trip of a lifetime’. Another thing is all these activities they plan, a lot of them you have to arrange your own transport one way or both ways. All these costs add up to a lot, and is a disappointment when you have paid £1300 for this trip. Now the worst - the hotel. The hotel we stayed in in Phuket was awful. Phuket accommodation is cheap, I know this because I had to stay an extra night before camp as my flight came in early. I stayed in a beautiful resort with a pool facing deluxe room for £25 for the night. This hotel we stayed in had bugs all over the room, rats by the pool and our safe was broken into whilst we were out. I felt very unsafe in this hotel and it was a shame they couldn’t have booked nice accommodation with the amount of money we paid. The staff didn’t speak English so I was locked out of my room one night at 1am for 2 hours because they shook their heads at google translate and wouldn’t let me in with a spare key. The reps were out partying. Also if you thought this was a nice sightseeing and teaching holiday with the occasional party then you are wrong. We were out drinking practically every night and by the look of social media they still are. This leads you to going into the schools and activities hungover and makes it less enjoyable. It may be to your cup of tea and I love a sesh, but it was just too much. Overall a disappointing experience that I’ve now wasted £1300 plus flights plus spending money on with my hard earned money. I’d recommend saving your money and organise your own trip as you can still do the whole trip yourself minus the teaching, in which you’re only in the school for 1.5 hours anyway!!!! All this about teaching and that’s all you get!

One of the best experiences I’ve ever done in my life, and I could ask for anything better. The staff are a massive help and try their hardest to make you experience 10x better which comes out through their passion in giving back to the community and helping the next generation of children.

Had such an easy booking experience and an amazing trip with camp thailand!! My group was lovely and we are all keeping in touch to meet again, I've been recommending to all my friends! They also answered all my questions so quickly over social media which was so helpful.

I was skeptical to travel with Camp Thailand having read some of the recent reviews but my camp experience was AMAZING! The reps were so friendly and fun and i made some real friends for life. The itinerary was jam packed full of incredible activities such as elephant visits and tours around the most stunning islands - i'm going back this summer to do their Bali programme and i can only hope it lives up to my Camp Thailand experience. Would recommend!

Terrible, terrible company, They sent me on an unacceptable experience and their conduct afterwards was utterly disgusting. One reviewer has said, it is Invasion travel who change names and business often, be wary of any of their brands. I had to get money back from my bank because they ignored me and refused to answer my complaint. There was a massive Facebook group with hundreds of people but it has gone as I believe they threatened people. I wish I had not wasted money and looked around at reviews first try looking at one online journalist here summercampthailand.blogspot.com a massive problem that they are trying to hide

Avoid this company like the plague. Accommodation is not adequate, experiences are not as described, half of the trip got cancelled meaning i had to go alone for the rest of the trip spending more money on new accomodation etc. TEFL is FAKE. I would not reccommend the company at all. Complete shambles.

An absolute disgrace of a company. Sent my daughter to Thailand on the worst experience, her along with hundreds of other kids have had to complain and ask card companies for refunds. Money was not there for things, evidence suggest they ran out of money, they blame their ex partner for irregularities, either way hundreds of people did not get their experience. Many of them are now being ignored. It was utter chaos and people were ignored so much that a facebook support group for the fiasco was made.
