The home was great. Perfect location for our family. Weather was nice. Views were awesome!!!
We loved the house our family stayed in for our daughter's wedding in the mountains. It was a great location. The only problem we had was getting out of the driveway because it is gravel and a steep incline.
Me and my wife live in Florida and hurricane Ian Sept 29, 2022 came directly through our home town the same day we were supposed to leave and go to Boone, NC. I called North Carolina Cabin rentals a week ahead of our departure knowing that the hurricane would hit us. After I called several times to multiple employees and managers, they told me there is nothing they can do for me. No refund, no rescheduling, no promotion for next time or trip, and they were not kind to me on the phone either. People in Florida lost everything they have because of how serious this storm was and North Carolina cabin rentals showed no class, or compassion. Me and my wife are emergency registered nurses and had to work at our local hospital to support and be there for our local community during this storm. We will not be using this company again. Very disappointed.
I rented the Mountainside Lodge from Carolina Cabin Rentals. In the description of the house, it stated that it was necessary to have a 4 wheel drive in the winter months because the driveway was steep. But in JULY, we could not get all of our cars up the driveway and had to find parking elsewhere. Worse than that, our bus/van transportation to and from the wedding could not get up the driveway. With a handicapped person, this was a nightmare. This cause an extreme amount of stress for what was supposed to be a fun, relaxing wedding weekend. Also, all of the beds are extremely high except in the Master bedroom. This is not friendly to elderly or handicapped.
We stays at the blue cabin and let me yell you that it was absolutely amazing!!! They had everything we needed and accommodated us fabulously!!! They had man towels and sheets. They were attentive to needs. Very professional. We all had zero complaints. We cannot wait to book our next trip here. Thank you so much ❤. We are here satisfied customers.
We stayed at the Blue Ridge Mountain property for a family reunion during the weekend of July 28th - 31st and I must confess it was nothing short of perfection. The cabin is immaculate with every room setup and beautifully arranged for guests. The property has some amazing views and after a ten hour drive from upstate NY, we felt so relaxed in this cabin and had a a fantastic time with extended family.
Great view and good location!
We had a great family vacation at our cabin rental. The home was beautiful and the company staff was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.
Our stay was one of the best we have ever had. The Carolina Cabins staff was very prompt in answering questions and prompt in responding to needs. Beautiful place, delightful people to work with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, well stocked, comfortable. CCR was good to work with, as I had to call with 2 questions that were quickly answered. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was having to leave!
We rented Fern Cottage in mid June ! First off we liked the cabin and it’s layout . Not tons of Mountain View’s this time of year as trees blocked the views but we did have a slight view ans enjoyed the sun colors in background ! Deer everywhere nearby which we loved seeing ! The cabin itself was quaint. This cabin would of been a solid 4 star but for some dirty linens and cleaning issues that we’re eventually dealt with . Customer service tried to accommodate and did a good job for the most part . Overall a nice cabin for a family . Just needed some TLC and are’s room to detail on cleaning . WiFi also was limited as more than one tv going at once would cause issues . But we came for the hiking nearby , Mountain View’s , and wineries and left enjoying the stay. We would come back and probably try a different cabin for a different experience !
My stay was pleasant, but I left a ring at the rental. I notified them when I got home and it was found by the cleaners. I was happy they were shipping the ring to me for $9, but later charged my card $40 for "lost and found service." What a needless money grab. As a tip do this as a courtesy, and have customers interested in staying at one of your properties again. Repeat business is worth more than $40.
We had a great experience through Carolina Cabin Rentals. It was a perfect getaway for our 6 adults and 2 children. The Honey Bear Cabin was exactly as described, and appropriately priced based on all the amenities.
The entire experience from booking to staying until the day we left was a great experience. Only suggestions I would have for this company would be to update the website and make sure all relevant links work accordingly.
Easy to book with. Beautiful home. Quick to respond. Will use CCR again!
I reserved the cabin about 2 months out. About 3 weeks before we where scheduled to go my wife started having some big issues with her back. Against my better judgment, we decided to give it a shot. The 2 .5 hour drive took a toll on her back. Once we got things unloaded I went to to the hot tub tried to turn it on, I noticed no power, I started looking around noticed the it was unplugged. I plugged it in, still no power. After that, I started looking for the firewood. I noticed the firewood rack on the front porch. No firewood was in the rack. About the same time, my wife called me into the cabin, she pointed out several places where she saw ant's. I looked around for a phone number to call. I found it, noticed the cabin had a landline. It took me little bit to get it to work, the issue was the end of the receiver kept coming unplugged. You could tell it was tapped to the base phone, but still sliding out. I was able to get it to work, I called the rental office, explained everything, the very nice gentleman said he would call me back, in which he did. 1) the hot tub has been broken, a part has been ordered, told him that was one of the reason I reserved the cabin. 2) Firewood, he told me that was a extra charge that you would add when making reservation. Mentioned to him, that was never brought up to me. He said he could add the wood, have someone bring it up. I said no thanks, because of my wife's back we would probably have to leave in the morning. 3) Ants. I was told they where going to send a maintenance worker to come out to spray. During this conversation, I was told they where going to refund us 1 day. I said one day is better than none. When we got up the next morning, my wife's back was to bad, we had to pack up and head home. We called on the way home to notify we had to leave, discussed, brought up, I was told that we where going to get a refund for 1 day. As of today, I have not received the refund. I loved the cabin, location etc..We plan to come back, just hope these things will be resolved. Thank you.. Chip Thompson
Our stay was incredible. The house was great, amazing views, complete kitchen, really nice beds. We had an issue with heating system and housekeeping and the Carolina Cabin team was great in solving the issues. We will be back for sure!
Carolina Cabin trash!!!! These folks straight up robbed us. We booked a weekend and had to cancel, well in advance mind you. They refused to refund us 900$. Come to find out they get you in the "con" of their policy. Do yourself a favor people. Go to a hotel.
We rented the Riverside Retreat in Boone from 2/9/22 - 2/16/22. Nice on the inside for an older home however... Our party was unable to get into the cabin using the entry code which was emailed to us. I tried to reach the agency for approximately one hour with no response. Finally, we received a text from someone who gave us a totally different code than the one we had been given. That was baffling. The driveway and parking area was hazardous. We had driven two 4 wheel drive trucks as advised but there is no appropriate vehicle for a solid sheet of ice. At one point a driver slid under his vehicle trying to get in his truck. We had to walk on this ice to unload our luggage and our groceries. We had to make a trip to the local Walmart to buy several large bags of a rock salt substance which worked really well when it was spread but we should not have been responsible for this. The house was fairly clean but Christmas decorations still up in mid February which gave us the feeling no one had cleaned recently. Had to pick up a few dead bugs and spiders and vacuum the rug in the main living area which was covered in dried mud. There was a lovely dining table for 10 and sleeping arrangements for 10 people but we had one small frying pan to cook in. There was a baking sheet in the cabinet with the outline of bacon from the last person who used it. There was one other pan that was covered in burnt food which we opted not to use. We bought meats to cook on the grill, another "amenity" that did not work. The grill temperature would only go as high as 160 degrees. The cabins we have rented in the past were all well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. We looked everywhere for the fire pit, another "amenity". Found it after 4 days way down the mountain from the cabin. My husband took his computer as he works from home. There was zero WiFi. Someone did come up to check on it but when they left we still had zero WiFi which lasted for the entire trip. We had no cell service. The house phone did not work. No way to contact the rental company. Hot tub took 24 hours to get to a temperature warm enough to get in. The pool table was a must for the older children but the pool sticks were old and not well made. Again, we traveled to the local Walmart for pool sticks. Overall, not a good experience. Won't stay there again. We have used Carolina Cabin Rentals in the past and had a good experience but this trip was definitely a disappointment.

Nov 04,2022What an incredible property and location. The view was breathtaking, the service was timely, the time spent was amazing. We are so grateful!
