I do not recommend this company based on my recent experience with them. We placed an order for a Dualit Toaster on 15th January. It was showing in stock with 3-5 day delivery. I contacted their web chat on 24th January to enquire whether it had been dispatched and was advised that it had been sent that afternoon and would be delivered on Friday 27th. The following day (Wednesday 25th) we received the email confirmation that it had been dispatched. There was no tracking information included, I spoke with an advisor by telephone on Monday 30th who said they would send the tracking information via email. When this didn't materialise I contacted them again and was advised by Sales Assistant Amber that the order hadn't been dispatched at all, but rest assured, she had personally picked and packed the order for dispatch that day with next day delivery. She then provided tracking information. Unfortunately the tracking information shows that the order has not yet entered the couriers network - they confirmed that they have not taken receipt of the item yet. I have no trust in this company based on the continued lies from employees. We are left £250 out of pocket (including an extortionate £15.99 delivery charge!) and 3 weeks later with no order is unacceptable. Interestingly, the same item on their website now shows as "in stock" with a 3-4 week lead time to be custom made. I suspect this is the true story and staff are trying to cover up a mistake and keep us hanging on. We will be making a charge back request via our bank instead for goods not received, having given Cater Connect plenty of opportunity to rectify this issue. It was actually their email to suggest a Trust Pilot review that prompted me to write this. I won't hold my breath for them getting in touch now that I have. Edit 27/02. I thought I'd come back and update the review now that the toaster has arrived. We are very happy with it, it looks like it will last us a good while. Unfortunately my opinion of Cater Connect is the same. The Owner Samuel contacted us by telephone the day after posting my review above, thanking me for my "emotional" and "inaccurate" review and berating me for not getting in touch with them first - funnily enough it turned out one of the people I spoke with previously on the phone was him! He then proceeded to mansplain supply chains and shipping contracts to me - but couldn't explain why a product that his company listed as "in stock" had taken 3 weeks to be shipped. He also said he'd be happy to refund the £15.99 shipping fee but only if I removed this review. As I told him on the phone, you cannot buy me and I would rather leave this review up to warn other people - £15.99 well spent in my opinion :) When the toaster arrived, the packing slip contained a note which showed they had only received the toaster into their warehouse on 31st January.

These online companies increasingly rely on the law of large numbers while being unreliable. They can reach many people, so if a couple of people the company has tricked, they do not care or want to deal with that. They are not willing to admit any responsibility for their error or what they cause for their customers with their negligent business behaviour. The owner is very proud of their over 2,5 million turnovers for a year, so those few clients can be ditched. SO WATCH out that you are not the next one they throw in the bin. They sell products that they don't even have. You will pay for the item, but you will never receive it, and if you are brave enough to complain quickly, take offence, and instead of delivering the product they sold a month ago, they refund the money. My 11-year-old daughter tried to save money for her grandma to buy an excellent fondue. We ordered on time, two weeks upfront. (I received a gift from another company which I ordered only four days before Christmas). We hadn't received a gift after a week, so I started to worry. I contact them by live chat. The person I talked to granted it would arrive by Friday. Christmas eve was on Saturday. As you can imagine, we haven't received anything, and my daughter was crying all Chrismas day with her grandma, and all the family was very emotional and upset. Of course, the company was not working until the 3rd of January. When I spoke with the owner, he did not even care what they caused. Not even try to save the situation or us as a client or send us something or give an extra gift voucher or apologies. In addition, very suspicious when a company has only 5 stars and 1-star reviews. I used to work for a real estate company in Spain where they organised and added at least 3-4 people with 5-star reviews every time they received a bad review. Their IT guy tried to do everything to delete reviews. We had to speak with our friends and family to take pictures and upload them as a positive 5-star review. I left after 2,5 months this company. So before you order from a company, read a lot of reviews, and where there are a lot of negative reviews, especially when they are complaining for the same reason, believe them and avoid the company. Negative reviews are not fake. The owner even complained for the covid. That there are a lot of problems with the delivery. I ordered almost every single gift this Christmas online with delivery, and there were no delays due to Covid or the delivery company's fault. Terrible neglected customer service, especially from the owner itself and Amber Thompson. Your excuse and what you write are not valid and they are just an excuse. I have spoken with the owner, and you tried to polish it up and now cancelled my reviews as you don't like when somebody tells the truth. You sent a refund even though I did not accept it. I asked you to send me the product I ordered. If the delivery company lost my items, you should have proof. You asked to cancel my review as I told them through, and probably not nice to share what you caused for us at Christmas. I am not rude, but I do not let myself flash in the toilet as you do with clients with complaints. As I can see not the only one who complains about your untrustworthy delivery system. You can ask for cancellation. I will continue to write each time, as I am fed up with companies trying to polish up their mistakes without taking responsibility!!!! I was not speaking with you abusing, especially in front of my children, and my partner was sitting in the car with me, and I was speaking hands-free. I was very calm and assertive, and I didn't accept your excuse, which was probably difficult to accept. So, I have 4 other people to prove how I was speaking during our phone call. In addition, I still have all my emails which I was writing very kindly! However, you made crying and upset my daughter and my mother on Christmas. What would you accept??? Furthermore, I still have an email sent by Amber Thompson on the 21st that you don't have the product in the colour I ordered, and if I am happy with another, she can send it to me immediately. So what is the truth now???? Did you lose it in the warehouse? The delivery company lost? You never even sent it? Did you lose in the HUB, or haven't you got in the right colour? The one who doesn't like to be faced with this problem and reviews it's you as a company as it points out the compy's weakness!!!! Especially if you read the reviews, each negative one almost has the same problem!!!

ordered on the 16th delivered on the 28th,Was supposed to be 3 to 5 working day delivery but took 7 with no information of delivery given, I was told Fri and then it arrives on Mon, just needs better communication

I ordered 2 x 5 litres of detergent and rinse but have 10 x 1 litre bottles delivered. I’m still able to use this but it’s a bit inconvenient having to swap over more frequently. I just thought I’d let you know.

Feb 28,2023I had to wait for more than three weeks for the delivery due to no stock after i made the payment. And then no one was gonna contact me about the delivery date until i made many phone calls to find out which they even told me the wrong date. The worst thing was they gave the wrong information (wrong buyer name and business name)to the delivery people which causing them deliver to the wrong door . If i did not turn up on time it would be returned the driver said. Just so so disappointed. Never recommend.
