Charles White consistently provide a high quality property management service to my apartment block in Edinburgh. Communication is clear and efficient, and when an urgent issue arises (such as s recent security issue with the main garage door stuck open) they are very quick to respond. I have also had exceptional and out-of-hours late evening feedback from property manager Robyn Rae on a specific issue, which was resolved immediately.
We only changed factors to Charles White on 1/09/23 after having a terrible experience with previous provider. We have had more correspondence from CWL since we joined them than we have had with the previous factor over the last 15 years. At every step on the way they kept us up to date with what is happening also the staff in the office could not be more helpful helping us set up a d/d for our monthly payment which we can view online. Site visits are notified in advance and give you the chance to meet up if required which again is something that never happened with our previous factor. We are really happy with the service CWL provide and look forward to a long relationship with them.

Paul Sanders has always been very supportive, kind and helpful. If a problem comes up and it is within the scopes of Charles White responsibilities, he will definitely sort it out for you and if it is not related to the company’s responsibilities he provides helps and suggestion on how you could resolve the problem. Paul Sanders deals directly with our building. He is very easy to deal with and has dealt with any issues in a positive and speedy manner. If third parties are required to resolve any issues, Paul facilitates any introductions ensuring that a high level of service is standard. I sent Paul an email this morning (before office hours) and he had it resolved along with a reply within 5 minutes - again,before office hours! Fantastic!

Honestly this company keeps getting worse! Called the council to report a light bulb out in our car park, they advised CWL owns it. CWL refused to take responsibility and replace the bulb and told us to go back to the council... shocking service! Last time we had a bulb out in our flat stairwell, the person on the phone basically said go buy your own for £5, we will charge over £50 to come out and replace it! STILL no numbers painted on our spaces even with proof of title being provided to the company... and they want over £400 per quarter to 'maintain' the property? Don't know who keeps giving 5* reviews, but honestly if you are ever buying a property and see a factor attached to it... RUN!
The recent deep power wash at the complex was carried out efficiently. Barbara our Charles White representative acted promptly to arrange the Autumn clean of the pavements and bin store area. Hopefully residents will appreciate the steps taken and comply with proper waste segregation and recycling procedures.

A note to express my appreciation of the help provided by Barbara McCone since her involvement in Harberton. Garden maintenance has improved considerably now that a new contract is in place. Additionally, her quick response in getting small but important jobs done is welcome. The floor in Robson Hall bin store required a pressure wash as it had become very slippery overtime: it was cleaned the next day. In the 4 years since moving here, Barbara has been the most visible and helpful contact with Charles White.
Paul Sanders was excellent resolved our query immediately and kept us informed at all stages!
I'm in the process of selling my house and needed receipts etc which I (as usual) left to the last minute! I emailed on a Sunday and Paul Sanders had everything I requested back to me by first thing on Monday morning. Great service all round - thanks to Paul and the rest of the team!

Dec 14,2023Thank you to Paul at Charles White for promptly dealing with matters and making himself available to answer any queries/ concerns we have had. We had an issue with our roof and Paul quickly escalated the matter to the contractors to arrange for someone to come out to our house the very same week! Paul is also working to ensure the damage to the interior is fixed asap. Thank you Paul.
