Cotswold shoes are named after one of England’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Cotswolds. We had humble beginnings as a brand, starting off as a range of stylish, comfortable golf shoes. Our outstanding waterproof protection meant our golf shoes became more popular, helping us grow into the must-wear brand for amateur and professional golfers around the world.
Once we launched our lifestyle range, Cotswold became renowned among festival goers for our wellingtons as well as families for our hiking boots. Today, Cotswold has an impressive portfolio of Lifestyle, Hiking, Wellington and Slipper styles suited for the way of life of people living in the beautiful Cotswolds area, for every walk in life.
Easy ordering and very rapid delivery. Very good for walking in the rain, excellent for paddling (I'm over 70!)
Contacted them regarding a problem which was rectified immediately. Great customer service!
I had an old pair of Cotswold Abbeydale walking shoes, size 8, that I've had a few years and wanted to replace. I was very happy with them so wanted the same pair again. I didn't get my original ones direct from Cotswold Shoes (as they were bought with an All4one voucher) but thought I'd buy direct from them for a new pair. The Shoes arrived... same brand, style and size. Everything EXACTLY the same as my original pair, except a number on the label, which was prob the production batch. However they didn't fit. The width across the toes and front part of the foot was much narrower than my previous ones. I walked around the kitchen a bit, they were too tight and far to uncomfortable to walk in. I compared them to my previous pair and could see the width difference with the naked eye. So I checked and they don't do different width sizes. Either they'd purposely changed the width size or its a manufacturing error (The Shoes are made in China). This was the Christmas period so I emailed my concerns, and about getting a refund. Several days passed so I messaged them through their website. During this time I saw other reviews stating the same about the width of the shoes, also that Cotswold do not exchange, and they are awkward to deal with. Eventually I got a response, however as it was getting close to their 14 return policy, I'd already sent the shoes back at my own cost. Then they messaged me saying the same shoes would be sent back to me (no refund) as I'd worn them. I replied explaining they had only been worn in my kitchen (quarry tiles, two dogs and kids...so yeah there are bits walked in), also that they were just too tight for me to walk in comfortably. They responded saying they were returning them to me, I replied again, stating I'd only tried them on in the house again and wanted a refund. They then sent photos of some shoes (apparently mine?) with bits on the soles. They just would not accept that they hadn't been worn, other than to try them on. I gave up trying to explain again... I was quite exasperated at this point, and they are returning the shoes.... y'know... the ones that don't fit? They didn't even acknowledge that they have an issue with their product (they do... other people have also stated it). I will never buy Cotswold Shoes again, the quality issue aside, the way they treat customers is very poor.
Swift delivery and just as described
I've had three pairs of Cotswold waterproof walking shoes. The last ones were the Maismore model. I like the style and comfort however they all suffer from the same problem. After 6 months of very light use the upper starts to come away from the sole long before the rest of the shoe is showing any signs of wear. Time to try another brand I think.
All good and great boots.
Good price. Product good. Very good delivery 👌
Tried Cotswold shoes online pre Black Friday sale and bought lovely laceup boots in Brown leather. So impressed I came back to get a different type in Black leather. Both pairs dead Comfy from the 1st outing. Very pleased 😀.
I asked quite a few questions before ordering. Being online I ordered two sizes of boot because I have a damaged foot and finding a size that fits and does not rub is difficult. I take a size 10.5 but Cotswold do not do half sizes. Anyway the 11 fitted so I am happy. Rather than send the 10's back I advertised them at the price I paid, on our local village web page and sold them in two days. Saved me the postage costs returning the unwanted pair.
Terrible quality boots, pulled one on fine, second one not so fine as the tag ripped away and all the stitching is loose. Why do we forget "buy cheap, buy twice?" Customer service is equally as poor, sent an email and called 48 hours later to see how I return them and was met with "we get 72 hours" as the immediate response, like I was talking to a robot who doesn't really care who I am, what I am upset about and whether or not I have 72 hours to wait for a reply..... As I said to the robot on the end of the phone, THIS is why shopping online doesn't work. Get back to the high street, pay a few £ more and at least you are welcomed with a smile!
I had a hole in both wellies and they were quick to help me and very understanding
Had great service, and prompt replies to emails, thank you 😃
What a terrible product I bought. Not cheap and they were letting in water on the heel within a few months and they didn’t want to know saying I had worn them too much.I have had boots for 15 years and in better condition.
Extremely good correspondence and customer service. My issue was addressed and resolved very quickly and professionally. Would recommend this company 100%!
Don't waste your money on the walking boots they are poor quality had my boots for 6 days and they began to come away from the soles the pair I had the stitching come apart I think I will invest in a pair of army boots for hiking and walking in the countryside
Second pair of Cotswold wellies to split within 7 months. Not cheap yet poor quality! Will never ever buy this brand again
I found the slippers I purchased needed more padding inside as i felt like one was walking on the floor which was uncomfortable
They are comfortable and lightweight Didn't need to break them in wore straight away on dog walk. And keep wet out.
I'm a huge fan of Cotswolds shoes & slippers! Always so comfortable and well made. Cotswold shoes offer a great online service, item exactly as described, emails about purchases are informative and always delivered promptly.

Feb 21,2025Bought a pair of Cotswolds green/black ladies ankle wellies, the left one was leaking at the end of two weeks. Poor quality. I've contacted onbuy where I purchased them from so I'll see if they replace the left one
