You have been a wonderful support to me and my husband carer - I have Chronic Long Covid and moderate to bad sleep apnoea. Very grateful for 4 week trial before you buy, to find proper face, nasal mask, headset to fit, suit, work for me. A brilliant way to introduce me to something that I thought of as a bit scarey, overwhelming, afraid to use. Will it be noisy, keep us awake? No. Silent! Sits nicely, tidy next to me on bedside table, not big or bulky. I have a small head, face so it helped trying different size sets that were not too big, heavy, tight with Gordana's help. She really knows her stuff, inside out, extremely helpful, shared care with my Respiratory specialist. Kind, understanding, patient, good listener. We decided to buy the new version of the ResMed AirSence 11, nasal pillow with comfy head set velcro pads which I have had for a few weeks now and it is fantastic. Been living with Long Covid induced breathlessness, chronic fatigue, brain fog, insomnia, now an Asthmatic. I used to dread bedtime. Now, it is so much better because I now actually do fall asleep, have a full sleep, no insomnia and wake up refreshed. Still tweaking a bit but settling into it. It is a whole new world for me now. Sleepwise. More positive. Within my first week - immediate, extremely positive results, reduced my Apnoea episodes.) I'm still getting used to my machine as I sleep on my back now. But I do fall and stay asleep. If the nasal pillow moves a bit, if I roll to side, I can quickly fix it half asleep then just fall back asleep. Also easy to slip on/off your head if need to go to bathroom during the night. Having had a few Asthma flair ups triggered by colder weather, I've used my machine at bed rest daytime too to help my breathing, lung tightness (I sit up, read a book, or watch tv. The warmer constant air flow a real life saver too, so it is multi-helpful all round.) A good idea I can suggest too, although an added expense is purchasing a bedside table stand that clips on, to place tube through so it hangs above you comfortably, no more twisting or waking with tube around face, neck. A very worthwhile addition.None of it looks ugly or gets in the way. I have had poor sleep hygiene for a long time. CPAP - a huge game changer. I cannot impress enough how good the time and investment is, which is a lot, but totally completely worth it. It has helped me to improve my breathing, brand new real sleep, no more snoring, mouth breathing. Helping me heal, very easy to clean, Helpline gives peace of mind, top support. I couldn’t ring the shop itself to check as there’s just the central number and the inevitable wait. The agent on the phone was very helpful and tracked things down for me. Staff at the store were also cheery.
