Great card for foreign travel it does exactly as claimed
Had a slight problem with a company abroad 'double charging' a transaction, (second time on a second holiday), but Customer Service explained possible reasons and on both occasions received my money back with no hassle and within a week or so. This has given me confidence that Currensea have my interests at heart as a Customer and I had not been 'fobbed off'.
We are on holiday in St Lucia and Jamie used currentsea several times getting instant reports on the app and great exchange rate. Have recommended to several people.
Amazing app and card while abroad. I know exactly what I am spending by the minute with relevant updates through app and email. A must card to have!!

Currensea are great when things are going automatically, but when you get a problem there customer service is very poor, I have read your reply, this had nothing to do with my bank, the issue was unauthorised activity to my Currensea account, I asked for funds to be reversed from a vendor that took money from my account without allowing me to cancel using a 14 day cooling off period. I was told by Currensea that I had no rights to the money ! Using the legislation put in place in 2024 the refund was made to happen, no thanks to Currensea or there customer services. Customer services should be better trained and educated to take into account new legislation and not tell customers that they are in the wrong when in fact they are not. The Google AI screenshot you've provided does not cover individual subscription terms and cannot be used as evidence as part of the Chargeback. As per the merchant's Terms and Conditions, you needed to request to cancel your subscription, or turn off the auto renew, within the specified time period. This time period starts from when the subscription begins (which would have been October 20th 2024) and not from when the most recent payment took place. As per their FAQs, the subscription renews automatically on the renewal period. Please see here for more information: Based on the screenshot you sent, you requested to cancel 1 day after the the renewal date. As a result, as per the Mastercard Chargeback guide, we will not be able to raise a Chargeback for this transaction. You will also be held liable for the funds that Currensea needs to collect from your bank account as this was part of an authorised payment. I appreciate that this isn't the outcome you were hoping for, and I'm sorry for any distress caused. If you are able to provide any further evidence that shows you cancelled (or attempted to cancel) your subscription before the renewal date then please send this to us so we can investigate further. No hassle in using the card and it worked first time in a year. Spend limit is very useful and reassuring.
An excellent way to avoid charges and make transactions in foreign currencies
It works ! What more could you ask and the information and app are great!
The card is very easy to connect to a bank account and use. However, several times during our trip the solution would call and receive payments from the bank account but not receipt them until later. As a result, it often showed that we had less funds available in the App end than were actually available in the bank account - because the bank account adjusted for payments made but Currensea had not receipted them and showed overstated debt against the adjusted bank account. This usually happened in the morning before the Currensea accounting process caught up. Had we not been on top of things/had funds to top up the bank account the funds shown in the App went back into credit, it could have caused issues.
Can no longer get ATM cash without incurring charges. I used to be able to withdraw cash almost universally without incurring charges so much of the utility of the card has been lost. It's still useful for making sundry purchases overseas and offers an excellent exchange rate for these.
