Jan 14,2025It’s linked to Mastercard so is widely accepted in so many countries. I’ve used it in Australia, Spain, Ireland and Kenya so far and not had a single issue. There’s also no hassle around having to preload your card. I love the fact that it tells you immediately how much it has cost you and the email trail of spend makes claiming expenses so easy. The rates are great too! I’ve already recommended it to several friends!

Jan 14,2025Liked the idea of using debit rather than just travel currency card. I have both but Currensea has proved easy, quick and efficient, with almost instant email details of actual costs in £'s. Like too, having choice of PIN code.

Jan 14,2025Great concept - but I found that while payments were showing pending in my bank account, they would also show as pending in the Currensea app, so they were double counted, which meant the card wouldn’t work. Because of this I ended up paying for things on my bank card and incurring fees anyway, which defeated the point of getting the card.

Jan 13,2025This is a top notch service. I produce my Currensea card for payment in Spain, no hassles and in less than 20 minutes an email drops in to confirm the amount in Euros and GBP, with no interest charged, just the current exchange rate. Brilliant!
