Jun 27,2024Utterly breath-taking trip to the Galapagos Islands We went to the Galapagos in April 2024, it was certainly one of the most memorable trips we've ever been on. It was planned by Heather with our input. Everything was taken on board - great attention to detail. The accommodation was superb, the flights, transfers, activities and tour guides were both excellent and ran like clockwork - perfectly organised! It blew all of our minds - Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and our favourite island Isabela. I thoroughly recommend Discover South America - It was very special - thank you so much Heather :)

Jun 13,2024Heather from Discover South America organised our trip across Peru including the Inca Trail, with the exception of a retreat we booked ourselves. I can’t fault the hotels and Amazon lodge she chose and it was great to have all our connections and pick ups organised. It completely took the stress out of the journey so we could enjoy and take in the experience fully. Would recommend this service.

May 20,2024Heather gave us exceptional service and prompt advice every time. The itinerary was perfectly put together and adjusted as we decided on what to do during our 17 day tour of Peru. It was so reassuring to be met and welcomed everywhere. The local agents and private guides were excellent too. It made such a difference having English speaking guides as our Spanish was non-existant. Thank you so much Heather - it was a trip of a lifetime and all arrangements were seamlessly put together!!!

May 08,2024Heather put together a fantastic trip to Costa Rica for us, having listened very carefully to get the mix of nature, activities and relaxation just right at a very competitive price. All the arrangements worked like clockwork and the hotels were fabulous. Rafting the Rios Pacuare and staying at Rio Lodge were a highlight, but we also loved Tortuguero, ziplining in Monteverde and Rincon de la Vieja.

Everything was perfectly arranged from planning the itinerary and then once I was in LatAm everything was faultless' from the transfers, transport, hotels, trips and there was always someone on hand locally via whatsapp if I needed any help. I could not recommend Discover South America more highly.

We always had contact details of the local agents, were met at each stage on time and the holiday followed the agreed itinerary exactly. Mar 11,2024I have been very impressed by the service we received from Heather at Discover South America from the the initial contact through to the post trip follow up. Throughout our preliminary planning phase a more standard itinerary was tweaked to fully customize to our needs such as exchanging a jeep tour in Rio to a provate car as a redhead, I wouldn't have been able to tolerate being exposed to the sun in an open topped vehicle. Start and end times were able to be adjusted as well as duration to enable me to schedule flights from Canada on cheaper travel days making this trip fully customizable. Every element of our itinerary was delivered as promised and the guides in both Argentina and Brazil were knowledgeable and punctual. The transfers, whether shared shuttles or private taxis, allieviated us from any stress and responsibilities so we could just sit back and enjoy the views. I would recommend using Heather and Discover South America to arrange your dream vacation in South America and will use her services again in the future.

We chose her because she actually listened to our requirements and then created a varied trip to suit us. Her advice and suggestions were invaluable and her patience was much appreciated. In Peru, all the hotels, guides and activities were of the highest level and we enjoyed our trip enormously. I will be in touch for our next trip.

I was travelling alone and was a little apprehensive - but as soon as I arrived I was so well looked after, everything was effortless and I could relax. Dec 04,2023The tour was planned by us and tgen forwarded to few tour companies specialising in South American continent. Then we decided to go with the quotation Heather provided us. Heather, managed to get us few flights on Latam airlines on special economy, which was great and also a private guide for us in a few places. The pickup and the drop off from airports was great. All hotels were in very good locations. The tour was better then expected. Therefore, we give discover south America a 5* review.

Oct 24,2023Really well organised trip from start to finish. All aspects sorted and worked smoothly from air travel, transfers and hotels. Excellent communication from first enquiry right through to the end of the trip. Heather was brilliant, so helpful and responsive to all our queries and any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Local tour guides were great, informative and helpful. Antigua Caponata San Blas hotel in Cusco was a particularly wonderful hotel where staff went above and beyond to give us the best service.

Oct 24,2023This was my first solo trip . From my arrival at Lima airport, everything was organised, lifts from the airports all the tours there was some there to meet and greet me. I enjoyed all my tours, especially The Inca Trail, this was a great achievement for me.It was physically and mentally challenging. Heather, you planned my trip so well, I had acclimatised before I did the Inca Trial. Thank you, no altitude sickness. I had a couple of hitches, Heather was so helpful in sorting these out. I felt that Heather was with me every step of my journey. I would book every holiday through Discover South America, the most professional company I have used. No hesitations at all in highly recommending Discover South America.

Oct 05,2023We had an incredible trip through Argentina and Brazil over three weeks, from Buenos Aires, to Cordoba, to Salta, to Purmurmarca, to Iguazu Falls, to Paraty, and home from Rio. It was a complicated itinerary, and Heather from Discover South America was incredibly helpful in planning and booking everything, and supporting us whilst we were out there. We've used DSA before, this was our second trip with them, and we will use them again. Very highly recommended.

May 09,2023This was my first trip as a solo female traveller. As a result I looked in to organising this trip independently at first and quickly became overwhelmed attempting to organise the trip and ensure I was able to do what was best to see in each country. I looked in to tours where you was with a group of people for a set amount of time. I decided to not go for this in the end, due to the age brackets for people. I’m 37 and felt I may be more mature than some on the younger tours and younger than most on the other tours. Also I didn’t feel I would want to spend that long with the same people. I then came across discover South America. I saw quickly that Heather had consistently good reviews. I spoke with Heather and she was keen to find me a plan for my travels that was within my price range, my timings, with the accommodation I wanted. She was happy to make changes to my plans on several occasions due to my indecisiveness. I travelled South America for 5 weeks, the plan was written for me in detail of when and where I needed to be, it was very straight forward and well organised. I had English speaking representation meet me at the air port or hotel and tell me about the local area, any risk concerns, the currency, where I should go. I had a 24 hour emergency help line, I didn’t need this. But especially as the recent troubles in South America this gave me security to know I had someone to contact if there was a problem. Something I think as a solo female traveller is important. I had a fantastic time, I saw so much of South America for in my opinion a very reasonable price, this trip has given me the confidence to travel independently in the future. I think this provides a good opportunity to travel independently but with some security.
