Situated on the historic Liverpool/Bootle docklands, our premises is well-placed for access to Liverpool city-centre, both Liverpool FC and Everton FC, The M&S Bank Arena, Aintree Racecourse - the home of the Grand National Steeplechase - and the beautiful beaches at Crosby and Formby.
The property houses 20 en-suite bedrooms with the ability to house 1, 2, 3 or 4 individuals per room. The property also contains 3 fully equipped kitchens, all decorated and finished to a high-level of decor.
We can house hen and stag parties on our ground floor, which has 6 bedrooms and is separate to the rest of the property.
Fantastic service, it was such a pleasure to work with Jay on a big booking, he made it so super easy to arrange all details and the stay was wonderful!
Ok so i usually stay in the Travellodge when i go up to Liverpool to visit family but their prices have gone up recently so i thought i would look for a place to stay that was within my budget. The pictures of the rooms for Dockside lodge on Booking.com appealed to me so i thought i would give it a try. The booking was fine no problems although i thought it was a bit odd there was a stage where i had to provide personal details about myself including my colour in order to access my code for the room. Why my colour is relevant i do not know. So anyway on arrival at my room on the first night i could smell weed which wasnt a good first impression. Room was clean and fairly modern, only thing to note was the bed duvet and pillow cases looked well used and something out of primark. Maybe a little bit more effort needed to make the beds look like i want to sleep in them. There was only half a toilet roll in the bathroom too. I had paid £193 for 3 nights so a bit of attention to detail in the room from the person that prepared it wouldnt have gone amiss. But like i said the room was clean and tidy just the beds looked uninviting and if i needed a dump i had to go to the shop first to buy toilet roll. So anyway the weed smell didnt go away. Turns out the guy in the room next to me was smoking weed. With the place a self service lodge and no staff i guess room lodgers could do what they like including taking drugs. The other major concern for me is that i was on top floor and there is only one way up the stairs and down to it. No emergency exits. Reason i bring this up is the whole place is decked out in laminate flooring and whole place is a fire risk. I find it bizarre how something that appears to me as a huge fire risk has only one way in or out. Maybe health and safety need to pay a visit. The only other issue was the noise from the docks but i cant blame that on the owner of the dockside lodge. If you are going to stay in this place then expect some noise from the docks. All in all i dont think it was a terrible experience but not amazing either hence the score of 3. Has the owner done enough to entice me back for another stay in the future. Probably not. Not unless they sort the drug problem out and improve the fire safety issue.
Good place to stay away from the busy city with great public transport connections by train and bus. Spacious shared kitchen was good for self catering. Comfy bed and easy self check in. Unfortunately the TV didn't work properly and WiFi was unreliable (possible cause of TV issues), and there were no kitchen knives to cook with other than a bread knife. Bedroom was a little dusty (and completely colourless - could have done with a few patterned pillows to brighten it up as shown in the picture).
Basic, very clean accommodation, ideal when all you need is a place to sleep.
I found this a great place to stay whilst I was in liverpool for the weekend there was a music festival in liverpool so all the city centre hotels were high in price but I managed to book the dockside lodge at less than half the price of the city centre hotels the room was clean with a comfortable bed and the communal kitchen was also clean and stocked with plenty of tea/coffee/milk ect…yes it’s a little way out of the centre but you can get a return train for £4 from moorfields (city centre) to oriel road station (takes 7 minuets) which is only a short 10 minuet walk away…I wouldn’t hesitate stopping here again the next time I’m in liverpool…
The bed and pillows were really comfy! Clean and tidy room and kitchen - which the kitchen had everything in it such as iron, fridge freezer etc and was also very tidy, didn’t get disturb by any noise! Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great price x
Clean and tidy, with very straightforward key entry system.
Amazing service, very clean and smells devine. I will definitely stay here again.
Can’t say enough about this place. I used to stay a travelodge until I stumbled upon here . It is very clean and has every facility you need. It’s my fourth week here and I intend to stay here for the foreseeable. Very , friendly & accommodating staff 👌🏻
I booked with this establishment at last minute. I was let down by a different establishment they day before I was due to travel to Liverpool and lost £383. The Dockside Lodge accommodation advertised a great price and I was a bit sceptical at first. However, I spoke to the staff both via phone call and on WhatsApp, and they were so pleasant and helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The staff were available if I had any queries and were always quick to reply. The lodge is based by the dock but it cost us only £9.90 to get into the town via Uber and there were plenty of shops within walking/driving distance for food/drink. I have no complaints about my stay, it was much better than I first anticipated. Thank you again to the staff for making us feel so welcome and helping us on our first trip to Liverpool! Brilliant for anyone under 25yrs old who would like to stay in Liverpool but can’t check into apartments due to age limits (this is what happened to my friends and I).
Lovely clean place , everything you need in the kitchen , bathroom was spotless ,can’t fault the place !!
Very helpful flexi check in.. very accommodating.. cleaning team excellent.. Room was spotless
Nice comfortable place to stay. The lake nearby is so peaceful and alluring
Stay at the dockside lodge as was getting the ferry to Ireland the next morning. Very clean no problems, use the kitchen for breakfast. Only couldn’t get hot water for the shower.
Excellent, especially after been let down by booking.comon the day, needed a place to stay as working at Aintree. Very clean, comfy bed and use of a kitchen Thank you
Could not gain access for a few hours all telephone calls were not answered location was unacceptable was very depressing trying to gain entry
It wasn’t clean at all, dirty shower with hairs leftover, loads of spider’s web on the ceiling, dusty furniture. We didn’t take shower as we were disgusted. It had however comfortable bed. Area a bit isolated.
Excellent room, fantastic facilities! Would stay here again!
The room was clean and really easy to get into. Great location aswell as it wasn’t too far from metro station and just a 10 min drive to Lime St.

Aug 21,2023If this is a joke asking for a review after I've sent several complaints messages, it is not a funny one. I've claimed first calling the customer support, left 2 different messages, sent an email, as I never could check-in, the link was not correct (or not working), hence never had any code to enter the hotel, and had to spend the night in my car. I've claimed for refund, and all I got is messages asking me to rate your hotel... this is really insane !
