Jun 07,2019Good company, but don't expect to quit your day job just yet. I really like DroneBase, but I do wish they paid more for the missions. Lately I have done a lot of $85 ones, which are not bad as they as easy. However, once you add in the price of insurance (my most recent one was $25.hr), you really aren't making much. This probably wouln't be so bad if I had more missions. In my area, West Virginia, I just don't get a lot of them. I am sure in a larger city, you could probably do well though. Customer service and communication are top notch though, and you are paid very fast.

Jun 05,2019I have nothing but good things to say about DroneBase. I’ve done many missions for them and instructions are always clear and communication is great and payment is super fast. I have really enjoyed doing missions for them.

May 30,2019The pictures were taken at the wrong time of day and there are shadows on the front of the building. The photographer seemed to focus on the back, which faces a Safeway which we are NOT selling. As a matter of fact the Safeway is dead center in most of the shots instead of the apartment building. We have zero decent well lit shots of the front of the building. While there is one decent overhead shot, the useful shots we have were really not worth the cost.

May 28,2019Had to reshoot due to cloud cover requirement. Live in an area where weather changes by the hour and it was partly cloudy when I left for the job site and it ended up being mostly cloudy when I was mid flight. Had to reshoot but didn’t get paid for my travel expenses or time for the first time.

May 27,2019Had a $500. job pulled from my dashboard, Why? Because I didn't check my email often enough. they sent an email mid-day giving me 3 hours to respond or mission would be given to someone else, well I didn't get that email as I was shooting another mission which took 9 hours no lunch didn't check emails while flying. Explained everything to them, assets were already obtained but she insisted on giving it to someone else. I have been a loyal pilot for almost 3 years and still got treated like my time just didn't matter to them. Once burnt twice shy.

Jun 11,2019Would not recommend - you get what you pay for - they were the first major company to do drones in a big way - but the quality has been mostly miss and once in a while good. If you just need a quick and dirty shoot to get the picture, they will work and are very affordable. If you need your property to shine with the best angles, look elsewhere. They need to allow more customization of shots - just turning a drone 4 different directions is not a good drone shoot.
