Jan 15,2025After reading reviews about Durham Hearing Specialists, I decided to visit them for an unresolved ear problem. We traveled four hours to see Ms. Lilley Todd, and it was worth every moment. Her expertise and clear explanations made all the difference, and after three months of getting nowhere, I am finally able to arrange the correct treatment.

Nov 16,2024I wish I knew about Conor earlier! My little boy who’s now 3.5 has suffered with hearing loss since 18 months old, first receiving grommets on the NHS in August 2023 which fell out as expected earlier this year. Since then we had noticed changes in our son’s hearing, speech deterioration as well as behavioural changes which we suspected was due to hearing loss again. From learning about Conor from our consultant on Wednesday night we were lucky enough to get an appointment on Friday morning less than 48 hours from booking we had a comprehensive understanding of our little boys hearing. Conor and his team took a full and thorough history from start to finish and took the time to explain each test and the results so that we understood them and what they meant. My little boy is very shy at first but Conor’s approach meant he was smiling and laughing by the end of the appointment and left saying how ‘the doctor was really nice!). The suggested test was perfect for my little boy as he didn’t see it as a test at all, it was a fun game to him. Whilst not the news any parents wants to hear - that their child’s hearing loss has returned we have been quickly able to put our minds at rest and get him on track to receive the appropriate treatment to support his ongoing development thanks to Conor and his team - the report landed in my inbox and with the consultant within an hour of the appointment too!

May 15,2024Made appointment for my husband to have ear wax removal, following a bad ear infection, which audiologist Connor confirmed still not looking good, he will follow up with doctor for further treatment. Very professional caring and explained everything so much better than own doctor. Yes you pay, but get a great service and don't have to wait weeks for an appointment. Definitely recommend based on today's experience.

Mar 20,2024Had ear wax removal done by micro suction.it was performed by a chap called Conor.he explained everything thoroughly before he started procedure.it was a painless experience ,having suffered with wax in ears all my life this was the best experience ever I have had in removing ear wax.i will use Durham hearing in the future .

Mar 01,2024What a great experience from start to finish. I was recommended to go here by a friend, I had wax in my ears. The NHS referral for wax removal was 3 months away. They arranged an appointment within a week. On examination, I had some inflammation and dead skin, not wax at all. They left it another couple of weeks to ensure it was healed and then cleaned all around my eardrum and canal. Still slightly inflamed, suggested I get some EarCalm to settle it down. Didn't say I had to come back or do anything else. I felt well cared for and will go back in 6 months anyway, just to check all is well. I would highly recommended them in every way if you need any hearing carr. I'm sure the NHS would not have dealt with the problem and just cleaned out my ears. Great prompt, polite, professional service.

Apr 22,2023Excellent service. I travelled a far distance to see Conor and the team and they looked after me really well even though i was really nervous about the procedure. After a bad past experience with micro suction conor and the team were really gentle and took time talking me through each stage of the procedure. These are guys are the best!

Feb 25,2025The only place I'll go with any ear issues, as I always get the best of treatment and get seen quickly with issues resolved immediately. This is the third time I've been for ear wax removal and Conor Boland showed me exactly what was the problem and fixed it in no time for me. Hearing 10/10 once again within minutes! Could not recommend them enough to others and will always come back again and again due to their expert knowledge and professionalism. Don't waste your time going elsewhere!
