Mar 01,2021During my February vacation, I requested 3 round-trip private transportation services from Faro. The trips were SJO to Monteverde, SJO to Manuel Antonio and SJO to Arenal. For all services, the driver arrived on time and provided excellent service. The drivers were knowledgeable and provided good information about important touristic sights. In addition, I consider the cost of each transportation service to be very reasonable. This is a family run business and they take good care of their clients. I would definitely contact Faro again for my transportation and/or tour needs.

Nov 06,2020If you're looking for help planning tourist activities of any kind in Costa Rica, look no further than Faro Travel. Whether you just need to setup private transport or plan an entire weekend including hotels, activities, etc. they can help and are incredibly kind and communicative in the process. In a country like Costa Rica where tourism has absolutely blown up in recent years, there are a lot of mediocre tour providers who are out there just to make a few bucks off tourists, these guys will set you up with the best in the business, whether you're going for an ATV tour, horseback riding, parasailing, or anything in between, you can relax knowing Faro only works with other businesses that share their values. They are also a true family business you can feel good about supporting.

Feb 28,2020I spent 2 weeks in Monteverde working on a coffee farm and Andres was my contact for taxis, trips and activities. He was full of good knowledge about the area and gave great recommendations on what to do! It was really easy to contact him and every trip and activity I booked was organised really well with no hassle. It’s great to use and support a local family run business. I would recommend using Faro Travel while in the area!

Jan 21,2020This is a very professional travel company! I definitely recommend it. My cousins and I (we are all in our 20’s) were traveling abroad for the first time together and I was a little nervous about safety. Andrés was very helpful, professional and friendly! He arranged all our transportation in Monteverde/Santa Elena and also helped us take a zip line tour. He studied in the US for some time, so he speaks excellent and English and there was no communication barrier at all. He’s a local to the area and knows it well. My favorite part of the trip was spending time on his Aunt & Uncle’s organic coffee farm La Bella Tica and also climbing the “Strangled Fig Tree.” Andrés is a great trustworthy person to know and I highly recommend anyone wanting to travel in the area to reach out to him! Pure Vida!

He recommended great tourist attractions for zip lining and dinner! He also spoke great English and told wonderful stories about Costa Rica!

He was always on time and friendly, I highly recommend using his company for services in Monte Verde and wherever possible in Costa Rica.

Jan 04,2020I was volunteering in Monteverde on a farm and it was a remote place so we really needed a reliable transportation agency. This company helped me and my other volunteer friends so much especially because as students we made last minute plans, we’re on a tight budget and often changed our plans. However Andres (from the company) was very accommodating and gave us great prices and helped organise our last minute plans. He was also very accessible by phone even on holidays like Christmas and New Year’s Day. He also suggested lots of options and alternative solutions for our travel plans.

Jan 04,2020I was in Monteverde as a volunteer and Andres helped us every step of the way on any trip we wanted to go. He always offered us very good prices. The shuttles were very comfortable and the drivers are bilingual. Would definitely recommend !!!

Jan 03,2024It was a nice experience, the driver was very friendly, the minibus was very clean and he offered us drinks and free Wi-Fi. He also pointed out points of interest along the way and we saw monkeys and birds.
