I tried First Class Flyer membership 4 years ago and wasn't impressed, so I cancelled my subscription shortly after starting. Ever since I've had problems with random charges from them on my credit card. I just had to turn in a fraud claim and cancel my card do to a $297 charge. Be very careful.

Been a member for almost 10 years, absolutely embrace the concept of “Opportunity Travel”. We average two trips to Europe a year and never pay more than $2500@ for Business Class.

Love this newsletter and all of the regular, between-newsletter email updates. Their widget is really helpful in being sure you catch all the many updates they have. I've always saved at least the cost of the subscription with their tips on $-saving tickets and approaches. I've usually saved much more! They take no advertising and get no compensation from anyone but subscribers, so you can be sure the you are getting unbiased information. A little wordy with a unique writing style but the information is first rate.

I've been very happy with First Class Flyer. It's like having a personal travel consultant in your back pocket helping you find the best travel deals out there. I've found many routing tips that has allowed me to fly up front to Europe and Japan when I wanted at a cost lower than I expected. Matthew - you and your staff provide a great service that both frequent and occasional flyers can use. Please keep up the good work.

This website has not been useful. I check it every day. When they do post, which is not that often, the deals many times have been picked over by other sites. Many of them free. I have tried and tried to enjoy the site but to no avail. It is also one of the slowest sites I have visited. I have tried it on several devices different wifis and I feel like I am in 1995.

I reread the article on cutting cost s through flexibility. Dates, time of day, airports, open to leave quickly, etc. The advice is right on and has saved me thousands of dollars over the years. Particularly being open to starting my long haul portion of a trip from an airport totally out of my normal view. Brilliant!! Not only do we save thousands but we get a little taste of the “connecting” city. I have subscribed to FCF for more than a decade and there hasn’t been a year when some airfare they reported, or mileage deal they announced, or some strategy they explained didn’t save me more than 10x what I pay. Most years the savings is even greater than this. I love you guys. Keep up the great work

Constantly working very hard and getting amazing deals that are unheard of, too good to be true, BUT TRUE!! I am always looking for latest recommendations. I will love to wander in the clouds sitting up front, going to remote destinations.

The article described making a backup plan. Unfortunately, I've had to do this more often lately: book more than one reservation due to uncertainty on the original flight arrangements. I don't like to do this but my risk of missing an important connection is simply too great these days. I've also been mindful of lost luggage issues and tried very hard to only book direct flights (not always possible). I appreciate that FCF's article described my plans and motivations so thoroughly and thoughtfully.

I was looking for business class options from New York to Frankfort at the end of June to attend a friend’s wedding. FCF led me to a quick redeem by transferring Amex points to Virgin to get a codeshare flight in Delta One. Saved a bundle. The Virgin agent who did the booking referred to the tickets as “gold dust”.

I started a supposed 14-day ‘free trial’ membership on March 16. Per their website and welcome email, simply submit a request to cancel before the 14-day trial expires and your credit card on file will not be charged. This is a LIE. Not only was I charged $1 on March 16 when the ‘free trial’ started, I was also charged $297 on March 30, although I submitted the form to cancel my membership at 1:26pm on March 29. I also called their support number (and of course no one picked up) and I left a voice message as instructed. Both avenues state that someone will respond within 24-hrs. This is a LIE. I still have not received a response to my initial form that I submitted not has anyone returned my call. This company is a SCAM and their refund policy is not honored. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. The subscription isn’t worth nearly the price tag they’re attempting to charge. And the headache I will now how to deal with to dispute the charge with Amex is also not worth the trouble.

They charged me in July 2020 for my renewal which wasn't due until October 2020. When I disputed it they gave me a refund. But then I went and cancelled my subscription, as we're not flying at the moment due to COVID (where we are has closed borders) and they randomly just re-started it and charged me again in April 2021 and aren't replying to my emails. Confirmed - refund received, though I still don't know why I was even charged in the first place.
