Plumbing leaks affect 1 in 12 dwellings every year. Catastrophic leaks often begin as a small, undetected drip. These plumbing failures devastate lives, result in billions in insurance claims annually and can cause long term damage including mold infestation. The FloLogic smart water valve constantly monitors your plumbing system and senses leaks as small as a half-ounce per minute or as significant as a broken pipe, then automatically shuts off your water to prevent water damage.
Known as “the circuit breaker for every plumbing system®,” the innovative and patented FloLogic System enables home and business owners to greatly reduce or eliminate the economic and personal loss associated with plumbing failures. The FloLogic System has received numerous awards and accolades, including “Best of What’s New” award by Popular Science magazine and "One of “Top 100 Products” by Building Products magazine. The FloLogic System was featured in "This Old House" magazine “Smaller Safer, Smarter” and featured on “Ask This Old House” television program.
Simple, intuitive and highly adaptable system gives me great confidence that my home will be protected.
I have been very pleased with the system and it consistency. The only issue I have had is the valve/switch that bypasses it when the water softner is running. It tends to clog with salt occasionally and there should be an easier way to deal with it. Otherwise it is working without issues. I find most plumbers are unaware of the device and I have to explain to them how it works. You may want to educate them through their associations.
Very difficult to find plummer willing to install. Only purchased because State Farm theatened to cancel homeowners insurance without install of Flologic. Don't know if it's working, lights are off although connected. Support next to nothing, Biggest waste of money I was forced to spend to keep homeowners insurance. If you purchase this product, good luck!
Since we installed the flologic unit we feel much more secure when leaving the house. We've had several leaks in the polybutylene pipes and even though the major ones happened before we found flologic those leaks lead us to Flologic. Had we not been home at the time of the leaks we would have had severe damage to our home. Now with flologic we feel more comfortable leaving the house knowing we will not come home to a real mess. We are planning on having the polybutylene piping replaced but are very happy we will have the flologic to protect us
Would be 5 stars if the unit was a little quieter.
The FloLogic automatic valve has given me the piece of mind I could have never imagined. I can leave my commercial property firm in the knowledge that a water related break will not damage my building again.
Product has great features, however controller needs to be WIRELESSLY IP connected with App so system can be remotely monitored and changed. I believe existing and new clients would welcome this upgrade/new controller and pay handsomely for it. I surely would.
We purchased this for a seasonal home, which was just refurbished after pipes froze and destroyed the main parts of the house. Had we had this in-place, we would have escaped the breaks with only minor damage. Ours is hooked up to the alarm system, which will place the unit into away mode when the alarm is armed. We will also be notified through the central station if it triggers an alarm due to water flow.
We were looking for a product to protect our condo association from liability from damage done by frozen pipes. This was the only (and probably still is) product that didn't require sensor pads under every gizmo that used water..... and they really stood behind the "early adopters."
While I did not purchase yet the timely response was informative and knowledgeable.
I talked to Flow Logic on two occasions about one of their units, but never bought one. My situation is not like a city dweller. Like many people in a rural area my water meter is 1/2 mile from the house. If there is a break in the supply line I need a unit that can be placed at the watermeter. I didn't feel like developing a solar power source to adpt their unit to my situation and therefore didn't buy one.
My buying experience and customer support have been excellent.
Great customer service. robust well built valve. one star off for the control panel / directions. Not easy to read with older eyes in the dark.
After a plumbing disaster forced us out of our home for four months, I researched several devices to prevent such a thing from happening again. Flologic got the nod as the most robust system available at the time. It was easy to install and program, although the latter took some tweaking to adjust to our needs. The biggest issue was that when our water softener regenerated, it would trip the protection. In the end I had to program a one hour run time in Home mode to allow the softener to finish its cycle. The support is as good as the product. Any time I emailed a question it was answered quickly, usually the same day. I would buy this system again without reservation.
Not bad, but if you set the timer for long enough to run a yard sprinkler, it is long enough for a busted pipe to do significant damage
Having the Flologic monitoring provides an extra layer of security in protecting a home owner from water damage due to flooding from a failed plumbing event. With this system any water flow into the home beyond what is scheduled will activate an automatic stoppage of water into the home from the main. Besides buying a fail-safe system, you are also getting the expertise and service of a company that is the best that I have ever experienced. The phone never rings more than twice before you get help from the people that designed the system. They do stand behind it with service and warranty. A must in every home!
Please see above: Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Tried to determine whether the current IR signaling model would be sufficient for distance needed for transmission. However, because of this concern decided to wait until a model with longer frequency transmission is available.
Highly recommend the product, works as advertised
I installed it after a costly leak in our part time home It is simple enough to understand but if it is not set to "away" I was vulnerable. We went to a movie, a connection on a toilet broke and we had continuous flooding It is sent to permit flow for prolonged periods when Home The automatic switch over did not happen as suggested in the manual. Programming the unit is beyond most installers

Feb 21,2017As with most water leaks, the end result is that they cost you money. Now imagine that same water leak that results from a broken pipe over an electroplating tank and overflowing it just after everyone has left for a three day weekend, forgetting to turn off the main water valve!! You can forget just costing you money... think "door closing event" with the possibility of thousands of gallons of hazardous solution eventually making its way out of the building!! The minute I saw this product on the market I was on board. This unit has operated in full off mode and away modes daily since December of 2008. This constitutes a minimum of 5 full revolutions of the gate valve and motor daily, 6 days a week. That's approximately 1,560 cycles/yr and 12,480 cycles since installed!!! Residential and industrial applications are boundless.
