We would give 0 stars if possible. We went to purchase a new mattress, Michael was fantastic. However when we had delivery all set up we waited at home ALL day and finally called to see when it might be delivered only to find out that it wouldn't be delivered that day at all. No one contacted us to tell us this had that happened we would not have had a problem but since we did not hear from anyone about this, we requested our delivery fee back since we would have to wait until the following week to get the mattress delivered when they refused we cancelled the entire order for a full refund. This same thing happened to us twice once a couple years ago and then again today. Clearly this is an ongoing issue that they either don't care about or not a priority to address the issue.

THERE SERVICE WAS FINE. I DON'T LIKE THEIR LYING ADVERTISING. I BOUGHT A TEMPER-PEDIC QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS AND COVER THIS WEEK I EXPECTED TO RECEIVE ALL THEIR ADVERTISED FREE PRODUCTS. FREE TV, FREE COMPUTER AND FREE $300 CREDIT CARD. i GOT THE TV WHICH I DO NOT NEED. I'LL SHOPPING ELSE WHERE.

This business is terrible with communication skills,I beg you do not spend your money here,they are lies and I am not just saying this..they have lied to me about my refund, they'll give you a date of delivery and you would wait for weeks..I am sorry that I chose this place.

My wife and I were very excited to receive our living room set that we purchased from the Gardner White store in Warren MI. We purchased in the first week of March 2021, and was told that we were to be on a waiting list. The target date of delivery is in the first week of April 2021, as we agreed and understood. The first section of 3 was delivered as date given of a delivery timeframe between the hours of 4:00pm to 8:00pm. At 11:30 we were awoke from our bed as they were banging in our door aggressively. We also paid extra to have our existing couch to be carried to our basement. The delivery crew told us they were unaware of what we paid extra for and instantly became aggravated. They found every excuse not to be able to fit the couches downstairs. I then agreed for the couch’s to be taken to the garage and instructed them that the couches will not fit through the door leading to garage and needs to go out through the front door. The became very agitated and promised they can get it through the garage door with no issues. My very expensive refrigerator sits next to the garage entrance door, and as they tried to cram the couch through the door they damaged the side of my refrigerator in multiple spots. We put in a complaint for the damage and was told we would be contacted by someone within a week (as of today 4/27/21 this did not happen). It is 4/27/21 and still do not have all 3 sections of the couch set, and have a damaged refrigerator to stair at. My wife went to the furniture store in Warren MI to cancel the order and to come get the 2 pieces of the couch. She was told that we would have to pay a 24% penalty of the price we purchased it from. I am not sure of what options or necessary steps we need to take to get this resolved. I really regret choosing Gardner White to purchase our couch from. Do we contact the news, call a lawyer or take the couches that we have and drop them on their show room floor.

Awful all around, return policy does not exist. Everywhere they advertise a "best sleep guarantee" that roughly translates to pay us more money and we guarantee nothing. Just awful, nothing was explained, sales guy said trying a mattress would be easy, we just should have purchased two mattress's and tried them both, would have been cheaper than this "guarantee". You have to jump through hoops at every step.

the one on 8 mile and grosbeck in warren michigan the customer service manager attitude sucks i bought a ten thousand dollar bed (temperpedic) then she talk to me like i was the grown she walked on .so i called they corporate store an file a complaint ,then i called lara an filed a complaint and then i called the BBB an file a complaint cause i dont think gardner white cares NO STARS

We ordered something on December 2020. Half the delivery arrived on a late due date, and other half? It is now April 2021 and we STILL have not received our items. It is absolutely unacceptable. They keep pushing back the due date. And I call Gardner-White, and they claim no responsibility for it. No apologies, no "Oh no we messed up! Your furniture is definitely not supposed to arrive FOUR MONTHS later, if it ever arrives." Just, "Oh, it happened. Guess the vendor didn't send it. Nothing we can do. Have a nice day." Absolutely awful service.

We purchased furniture for our basement, upstairs living room and master bedroom. December was the bulk of our purchase and early February was the remainder. After 4 months and 2 months of “delivery will happen next week” we are still missing three pieces of furniture. They tell us it’s the manufacturer, but somehow it’s a different manufacturer ever time I speak to costumer service. And dates continue to be pushed back. Tired of the excuses!

Wish I’d read some of these reviews BEFORE we bought the most expensive mattress we’ve ever bought! Tearing out at sides. Salespeople said take a pic and they’d send to corporate and they’d not bother coming out. Phone calls not returned, promises made but not kept. Repair came out and sewed LONG tear on seam but the salesmen said we could return it and upgrade to a King bc we were not satisfied with a queen. Nope.So it WILL come apart again I’m sure. Next furniture won’t be at Gardner White

Terrible quality, poor service, terrible return policy. You delivered my leather power recliner, damaged, and we have to wait 4 weeks for repair, instead of getting it replaced. Now, the matching loveseat is not working. We have not even had the furniture for 30 days and you refuse to give us a full refund. We paid $5,000 for this furniture and it is unacceptable that you refuse to refund the money when these issues are because of poor handling, on your end, and shoddy quality. I called your corporate office and did not recieve a callback. What it took, to speak to someone, was my fiancee calling your corporate office, the following business day; he was told the same thing. This is ridiculous. Your company should not be in business, if it has no interest in standing by its products (and I do NOT consider offering on-site repair standing by products that were purchased within 30 days). Terrible.

I have tried 4 times at least for customer service, I have never gotten a call back. Worst customer service ever. The people answering the phone were short and rude. Dont buy from here!!

Ordered furniture in late August-early September for a move in October. The furniture was all late and came at different times after multiple complaints. The store will lie about availability of the product and give a standard it will come in two weeks time if you complain. Still waiting months for furniture. Also horrible customer service at the Brighton location. Avoid if you can, even if you have to pay more at a different store.

Good experience with the salesperson Winston in Warren Mi., I would recommend him to coworkers/ friends. He was very very professional, nice and gave my son his space to look. After the error on a piece of furniture he was able to resolve the situation fast and i appreciate him for that and he apologize for the inconvenience. I was not impress with the lady at the window at all when spending good money,we had to return a rug that was cheat looking, she look at us like we had stole the rug. Not friendly or understanding to our missing item that was not added to the receipt. She made it clear she is Office manager, that sat at counter i gave 4 stars due to her lack of empathy to the situation.

I purchased a living room sectional for my daughter in December 2020. After purchase I was informed that delivery would take 4 to 6 weeks. I waited for delivery. On Wed Feb. 16, 2021 I received a call that delivery would be Thursday Feb. 17, 2021 btw 10 Am- 2 Pm. The delivery person arrived looked at the entrance and informed that the furniture could not be delivered through door and left, he did not even attempt to bring furniture in. Later Thursday I returned to Taylor store on Telegraph Rd. Asked for manager because my calls to salesperson went unanswered. After explaining to manager about what happed I was informed that I would have to purchase another furniture set from floor preferably a recliner sofa set, which could be delivered once it’s taken apart, the other solution would be to have furniture disassembled, brought in and re- assembled for an additional $150.00. I disagreed with that solution. Then was informed to look on floor for another piece. While I looked on floor there were 4 salespeople talking by entrance. They spoke of my problem. No salesperson would assist us for the first hour we were looking. Then a female salesperson came to assist. When we told her what happened she told us she would get a more experienced person to assist. She left and never returned after speaking to the first 4 salespersons that did not originally assist us. After looking at them watching us not assisting us for another half hour. They were very rude. I went to the mama aged and asked for a refund. I measured the entrance of the apartment and the furniture and it appeared that the furniture would have fit. I went to another furniture store talked to the salesperson about delivery from Gardner White. He informed me which I already knew that the could have been delivered. The delivery people as well as sales personnel treated me terrible. Gardner White sale people at the Telegraph RD. Store in Taylor should receive course in customer service. I will not purchase anything else from them.

Worst robotic customer service system I've ever experienced. They want to charge $9 just to talk to a real person. I paid my entire $1,400 bill for my sub par bed in a one time payment so I wouldn't have to spend more hours of my time every time I want to make a payment.

Update 3/4/21. Received a call today asking me if I wanted the ottoman delivered. I told them not until the couch is in. Then I asked for an update on delivery and they said March 28 now. I asked how this is possible and they said manufacturer decides when to complete the order. This is very different from what I was told the day I handed my card over and was told “up to 12 weeks”. Constant disappointment So fars its been complete disappointment. Apparently my couch was "custom order" because I wanted the chase on the opposite side of the couch and the larger ottoman. Paid for my couch in full on Oct 18, 2020. Was told UP TO 12 weeks for delivery. January 18th came and I had to call them to find out what was going on. They said Feb 28 expected date. I get ONE text on Feb 14 that my ottoman came in followed up with a voicemail. They never contacted me again and I really didnt care to just have my ottoman here without a couch. So on Feb 19, I contacted them to find out my proposed delivery date is March 14 2021 now and there was zero mention that the ottoman was there waiting for my delivery. I get the whole covid thing, however I walked in from a radio ad that said same day delivery and obviously because this was a "special order", that didnt apply to me, however my recommendation is to pay as little as you are able to on deposit so in the event they dont meet your expectations, just walk and go elsewhere. Truly disappointing and while I understand its beyond their control, I know in my business, once you become our customer, we fight like hell to make sure we honor what we said, even if it means getting a little raspy with our vendors to get these orders fulfilled. Total disappointment.

Mattress frame installed wrong ruined my mattress and now they are asking for $300 more dollars after the frame stretched the mattress. They apparently don’t know what afternoon means because they showed up twice in the morning after verifying afternoon was my choice. Worst company ever then when you call it’s a call center where the vendors of the mattress not gardener white have trained gardener white staff to lie to you and minimize how they screwed up. Extra visits to the chiro for MEGAN to tell me she has been to 16 seminars and knows all about mattresses wish I could sell all of the furniture(over 6k) and return it you lost a customer for life

If I could give this NO STARS I would! GW has a HORRIBLE customer service policy. I bought a couch in October 2020. We went to pick it up ourselves. When we got it home, we realized we were given a USED couch with defects. GW was surprised and "didn't know how this could happen". They offered to replace it and delivered a new one within days. 3 months later, we called customer service because the couch looked like an old pilled up sweater. It literally looked 10 years old. The agent who came out in January told me that was normal wearing for this material and that it should stop at some point. He recommended I buy a sweater shaver and "shave" my couch. REALLY??? But I did it...I spent HOURS doing this with no real affect on how the couch looked. I called the customer service again last week. Another agent came out. Agreed that the couch looked years old instead of months old. Told me I should hear from GW in 2-3 business days. I did not hear anything for 5 business days. I called the service center and was told that they will not be fixing or replacing anything because it is normal wear. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! Sadly I cannot post pictures here but if you go to my Google review you will see just how bad the couch is. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM GARDNER-WHITE EVER AGAIN!
