Feb 12,2025Considered using a Cash House Buyer company following an inherited property struggling to sell. Lot of bad press about these, its a minefield. So did my homework and came up with Top 3. Greg Gray was a real gem. I had so many questions. He answered them all, he was proffesuonal, polite and extremely patient. There were 3 Executors so all had to agree, but in the end decided not to pursue this route. But cannot fault Goodmove. Just do your homework, as long as you know what to expect, no hidden surprises.

Mar 01,2025The experience is good if you are prepared to sell below market value, as no Estate agent, or solicitors fees. They stuck to their offer, which I was happy with. Moving day came, and I felt a bit pressured being told I was to hand over the keys to the buyer at 12.00. This is the fourth time I have bought and sold a property, and in my experience I have never received the keys until the afternoon, as I have always been part of a chain, so there was no way I was going to hand them over until I had the keys to my new house. The explanation I was given was that, 'my buyers just wanted to be in'. So did I, and maybe it works like that if you are moving into a vacant property, but not as part of a chain. Anyway, they kept letting me put if back by 30 minutes at a time. The buyers were waiting in their car outside. When I spoke with them, it turned out they had not made any demands, and were just told they would be getting the keys at 12.00, so I suspect Goodmove close on a Friday afternoon, or maybe the particular member of staff dealing with my sale had booked the afternoon off. I got the keys for my property at 12.55, after i had travelled to an Estate Agents to collect them, so my buyers just had to wait.
