I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Michael for all his hard work in making this happen. He’s an amazing employee and really went above and beyond for me. He took on the return of an item I didn’t buy from him, and then he helped me find the perfect guitar. I’m so excited about it! I can’t wait to work with Michael again in the future.

I recently purchased a Williams keyboard and PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand. The stand was unstable (defective? not strong enough?). Michael McKenzie was able to refer me to a stronger Proline PL4KD Double-Braced Keyboard X-Stand. He was knowledgeable and helped me to narrow down my needs, process my new order quickly and sent me info to return the PL100.

Lauren and Brendan displayed great customer service to me,as well as their other co- worker that had recently finished with another customer. The team work mentality of the Guitar Center's staff is OUTSTANDING!!! I am a happy customer with their help, thank you staff 😊 !!

I bought this Playground Sessions Virtual Piano Lessons Lifetime Membership last week, and it worked perfectly. The code arrived about 10 minutes after I made the purchase and I put it into the program I had installed on Windows and it worked and activated my lifetime membership on all the devices I had the app installed on. I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it.

Always get what I need from cordial and well trained GC workers, esp Juan in Mesa. I have been a customer in AZ for 18 years and even more when I lived Ventura County CA.

So I placed an order February 25th I called today March 5th and our ordered still hasn’t arrived. I called customer service and they said they will put an alert on the order and refund me 26 dollars from the 286 I spent and I have to pay wait another 10- 14 days no empathy at all. I will be canceling the entire order! I will never do business with them again!

I bought a pack of 4 guitar lessons with no indication on the confirmation that it would be recurring. When I was billed for a second pack, I asked to be reimbursed since I request it or need it. My request to be reimbursed had to be submitted to corporate. And then it was denied. I did not consent to a recurring charge, and I should not be billed for something I did not request. This is a textbook example of dark patterns—hiding key details to trick customers into paying for something they didn’t knowingly sign up for. Guitar Center is essentially stealing from its customers.

I emailed a couple of questions to the store before placing the order, but they never replied. When the guitar arrived it had a couple of lifted frets. This was a pronounced issue with the guitar and was not reported in the guitar listing. This feels dishonest.

Took 3 guitars in for trade against another guitar. While I understand that it takes time to go through the process, the special discount required a manager override and every time the person helping me tried to get a manager to assist, they ignored him and just started working with another customer while I had to wait. All they had to do was ask a customer to wait for 1 minute to come over and do their job, instead I had to wait probably 30 minutes just on pause waiting for a manager to do the override. Overland Park stores service is always the worst. I have 3 GC in my area and I only have such poor service at the Overland Park KS location.

I placed an order for a used drum machine from Boise Idaho. I received a call from Boise to cancel the order. They were unable to find the listed item. I had to choose a more expensive one, I suggest free shipping on my new order to compensate for my inconvenience.

I bought something and paid the extra for the next day delivery. Four days later and its still not here. Dont know when its coming. I needed it a couple days ago Customer service rrefunded me the money for shipping but didnt give me a delivery date. If not in stock, the dont offer It. Very disappointed

I called in looking for a Pioneer DDJ FLX4. I had been contemplating getting one for a good while and once I made the decision they became elusive. John at the Guitar Center In Oklahoma City helped me find one and had it shipped directly to my house. John was a pleasure to talk to, polite, and incredibly helpful.

Wanted to purchase the Epiphone Les Paul Uke, used, called to learn of any defects which I couldn't pick up on the photos. Sorry, I forgot the man's name but he was extremely helpful. Was looking at the uke as we spoke & answered all my questions. Even called me back when he noticed a blip on top while he was cleaning the uke. Way good service.

Ashley was my assist for my purchase. I had 2 unfortunate experiences with Tony and Nelson. I called last week 2/26/25 and ordered a Gretsch 5220 Bristol Fog Guitar. Tony took the order and said it was on the way,,,,, Friday he called to say there was only one and it was in the Sacramento store. I said, "check it for damage and if it's a floor model, can I get some money off? I heard nothing over the weekend and when I called him and left a message asking if all was, okay? He texted me that the store in Sacramento was not answering their phone, and the guitar was sold over the weekend! So, I called Guitar Center again to order a different Gretsch and got Nelson. Nelson out me on hold and never came back. Frustrated I called a third time anr this time Ashley answered, heard my rant about Tony and Nelson. Found Nelson and asked status and came back and asked if I* wanted Nelson again. My answer was, thank you Ashley but if you can take my order, I would appreciate it. Ashley was a CHAMP! Please give her an opportunity to continue to help us poor mortals as we navigate through online ordering. She went above and beyond to make my order and my day right! I am so glad I didn't judge GC from Tony and Nelson. Tell them they need to do better. Thank you, Kenny Aguilar

I had originally given a three star review due to some issues I had at my local store. However, in less than a day of posting, someone reached out to me. I was genuinely surprised at the level of care Mick(?) took in assuring me that they care and offered a pleasant solution. I came back to edit my review because customer service like that is very rare these days and we genuinely appreciate it. Excited to bring my son into this environment knowing he is in good hands.
