Awful college, I cannot change the length of my course despite already having done functional skills. I was placed on courses I didn't need to do. Our Educationalist left midway through the course unannounced, so we got a new one who left within 3 weeks. 3 monthly reviews??? I have had one review in 10 months. This college is a waste of space and every apprentice at my workplace thinks so. The college shouts about being supportive and working to support their students. They left me waiting for a link to be sent for my review without telling me it had been cancelled. The live lessons are 2 hours long and if you draw the short straw span into your usual lunch hour dependent on if you're allowed to do course work at home or have to be at work. It takes the staff weeks to respond, and they have given us false information previously which caused vast amounts of stress like saying we won't be finished the course for a whole year after our supposed end date. Some of the staff are also very ignorant and treat you like a child... Not all apprentices are 16. I requested for all of the work to be sent to me 2 weeks ago and it still has not been. I can wholeheartedly say if I was given the choice now to go back and not take this course, I most definitely would not.
If I could give 0 stars I would don’t waste your time with them. All I have to say is save your time and find a trust worthy agency or better a college that does the apprenticeship course as they won’t let you down. There is a reason why all the good reviews are new people who have only started wait till they actually are on the course.

Good training provider, very helpful and replies quick to emails with any questions or queries I have. I am grateful for the consistency and amazing communication from Harriet Ellis.
I have received no support throughout my course, I have basically taught myself through a text book and hoping I'm reading correct information on Google. The course provided no resources and If I asked for help I was told to 'refer to my textbook'. I would receive unhelpful feedback such as 'add more detail' when I would submit my work. I lost of track of how many tutors I had throughout my course and each time I had a new tutor it was like starting all over again, they had no idea where I was on my course or what I needed to do to move forward. I wouldn't hear anything from my tutors for weeks/months at a time and would constantly have to chase them up to try and move forward with my course. The 'teaching sessions' were supposed to last an hour, they would last maximum 40 minutes and attempt to cover far too many in depth subjects in the short time available. You were then left to try and understand it by yourself. If you emailed your tutor for help it would take them ages to reply and you would a receive a very unhelpful answer, not making it any clearer for you. I feel my course has been dragged out and I could of got it done a lot sooner if I had had some support and communication. The only person that helped me at the very end was Fenella, she would actually reply to me and help me to get things sorted.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Where to start? Unprofessional, condescending, poor quality training, lack of support and to top it off, they pulled my apprenticeship halfway through without any explanation and a complete lack of help in finding another provider. The training resources looked like they were copy and pasted from wikepedia.
Shannyn Stiffel really helped me clearly understand the job role of being a dental nurse and the importance of the job. She was very well spoken and came across as a very nice bubbly individual. I felt very reassured and that I was in good hands when helping me apply for an apprenticeship.
Shannyn Stiffell was absolutely lovely to talk to to. So sweet and easy going. Great communication.
