Mel from the Adelaide South service was absolutely fantastic. Got us the baby seats we needed at short notice and was so helpful in organising the best way to collect them from her and deliver them back. She even came to the airport to pick them up from us during the Christmas break! Can't recommend this service enough!

We have flown into Adelaide airport recently and hired car seats and a travel cot. The service from Mel was incredible- she was easy to contact by phone and email, provided perfectly clean and well-fitted seats and a fantastic cot. We have used this service twice now and will absolutely be using Hire for Baby again and again. And again. And probably again.
DO NOT USE HIRE FOR BABY!! Arranged for a carseat to be installed in our hire car for a trip to Melbourne with our toddler, paying in full, up front, and providing all of our hire car booking details. Arrive in Melbourne to find ourselves stranded as no car seat was installed, and no one was answering either the branch or head office phone numbers. After over 30mins of trying to contact someone my husband had to take our exhausted toddler on extensive public transport as I drove the car to our accommodation. The hire for baby branch argues that they installed a car seat and the hire car company gave us the wrong car, but the Thrifty employees on site advised no one had been to install a car seat that day. Hire for baby refuse to refund us, despite the fact whatever happened is not our fault and either way we were left stranded, without a car seat, and extremely stressed. If they can't do their one job properly and work efficiently with the hire car companies, their service is not fit for purpose. RESPONSE TO HIRE FOR BABY: As advised to you directly, this "email" was never recieved, the hire company had no notes on our booking of you coming to install the seat, and we obviously do not have the car seat. You were also uncontactable - so how is this an acceptable customer experience? I also guess you have already collected the car seat back from Thrifty surely (if it was ever actually installed) so why am I being charged for something I never recieved? All I can do is share my experience to warn others now.
Hired a pram from the Gold Coast branch - we not only received the wrong pram, but it was dirty when we got it. Unfortunately I wasn't picking up the pram myself so I didn't notice until the following day when we went to use it. Unlike what is stated on their website the pram had not been cleaned or sanitised after the previous use as there was still food and rubbish in the canopy from the last user. Have tried to contact owner but have received no response. Very disappointed. For the amount of money that we paid what we received was unacceptable. Will be looking to hire elsewhere next time.
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. They lost my pram stuff, and what's even more frustrating is their lack of responsibility. Despite contacting their customer service multiple times and providing all the necessary information, they failed to resolve the issue or offer any compensation for the loss. This kind of negligence is completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to think twice. Their inability to take responsibility for their mistakes is a major concern. Hopefully, they can learn from their shortcomings and improve their customer service in the future.

Company ignores you and am still awaiting a refund on an invoice I paid to have a hire car seat delivered to me whilst my house was being packed up. At 8:50pm when the seat was still not delivered I messaged the lady who was supposed to be delivering the seat who said she wasn't far away but I said I'd like to cancel only if I can get a refund and from that moment I have flat out been ignored. I have messaged her and her email multiple times following this up and will not give up!! Shocking company and I have not recommended them to anyone!!!
Appalling! Absolutely terrible experience. Tried numerous times to get in touch with multiple branches, via website enquiry, email, phone call. Nothing. I requested to hire a capsule and adapters, was sent an email saying my order was received then silence. No invoice, no response to my follow up email, no answer via phone so tried another branch and had exactly the same experience. I should have read the other reviews here first, obviously a common occurrence with this so called business

Some feedback regarding your hire for baby and their branches. Applied to hire a capsule from Mornington branch on 2nd of September. Was never contacted, sent an invoice or told what was happening with my order. Then phoned the Ringwood location as was advised they had stock. Was told they'd transfer my order and I can just contact closer to the date to arrange pick up. Again never received any paper work, or further contact. Then when I rang to arrange pick up, I was told they didn't have a record of my order and what did I want. What an absolutely unorganised operation! The person from Ringwood still did not follow up or contact me. Obviously they don't have hiring policies or customer service training from either head office or branches.
The customer support we received from Rita & Hugo from Hobart Baby for Hire was exceptional! Equipment was in excellent condition & clean. And very affordable. Made our holiday with a 7 week old super easy. Thanks a million. Shayne, Chris & Otis :)
We’ve had such an incredible experience with Mel. Always friendly and helpful, nothing ever seemed like a hassle. The car seat and double pram were both in beautiful, clean, practically new condition. We also needed to hire both the pram and the car seat for an extra day due to another covid lockdown, Mel was very quick to respond and so very helpful. Highly recommend!!
