Great service - good rate - quick, efficient delivery!
This was my first time buying online from ICE for home delivery. I needed quite a lot of Euros and was expecting plenty of security questions. If only these had been asked upfront, while making the transaction, it would have saved a whole lot of stress and delay. Once my bank had authorised the transaction I immediately got an email from ICE saying it had been successful so I relaxed and went off and did some other things. Next time I looked at my emails there was another one from ICE saying the compliance team needed to see photo ID before the transaction could be approved (so much for it having been successful!). I sent a photo of my driving licence immediately. Then I missed a call on my mobile but there was no caller ID and no voicemail message. I thought it must have been an unwanted sales call. Half an hour later I saw another email saying ICE wanted to know what the order was! I replied saying you know what it is, you’ve quoted your own order number in the email heading! Then there was another call saying the compliance team now wanted to know what the money was for! At this point we were very close to the deadline for dispatching the money for delivery the next day - and I’d made the transaction a good couple of hours earlier! I was beginning to panic. I explained what I needed it for and at last got an email saying the order had been despatched. I wasn’t at all surprised to be asked for additional security information but why they couldn’t have asked these questions upfront during the transaction process rather than first of all emailing to say it had gone through and then adding several more steps with no warning and a delay between each? Also, when phoning, why not leave a message just saying please call ICE urgently? That would have saved at least half an hour at a critical point in the process. Sending emails is not an immediate way of contacting someone when there’s a deadline involved. I was reassured at the end of it all that this process would not be repeated if I ordered from them again. Thank goodness for that! Next day delivery is great, so I probably will use ICE again, but first-time currency buyers beware!

First time I’ve used the online service, normally just pop into the Glasgow branch and pick up my currency. Was a little frightened given the fact that money is coming by post but everything was ok and I had my currency within 48 hours. Very competitive rate, could have got a better rate with a couple of other companies but was a bit apprehensive of their websites so stuck to Ice which is a trusted high street name.
