I tried it with my Toyota grandia 2001 model. It surely lessen the pressure pushing the liquid out of my cooling system but did not totally stop it. Do i need to pour another bottle of K-Seal to permanently seal the crack on my cylinder head?
I had a serious leak from my Renault megane 2008. After driving for just a few miles engine would over heat and water coolant was on empty. As a sceptic I thought this so called liquid treatment surely can't fix the problem, however added this magical stuff to my water coolant and it worked. No more leaks and driving long distances without problems. Great product.
I have a 2001 renault scenic it had a leak i changed all the hoses radiator all the associated parts still had a leak so i thought i would try k-seal put it in and the leak disappeared for 3 days now im back to square 1 really disappointed
It did not work for me in my 04 volvo s80
Updated review following excellent coms with Colin at K-seal. Prompt replies and useful information given by him regarding the use of K-seal - has also sent me a free bottle of product to help with my leak issue - excellent service, can't fault it.
I was having the problem of my coolant recovery bottle level decreasing every 3-4 days, and having to top off the coolant. Then I talked to a friend, whose business is building racing engines and he informed of K-Seal, and urged me to give it a try. So, I bought the 8 Oz. bottle and applied it according to the directions, and after a week I pronounce your product to be miraculous. I have NEVER been a believer in all the "fix-in-a-bottle" products that deal with coolant system leaks, especially the ones with copper flakes that can clog things, like your radiator, for example. Your product has changed my outlook in this case, simply because it did what it was purported to do. Thanks for saving me a ton of money, as I am a retiree on a fixed income. My question, after all this praise is: Now that the leak is sealed , can I replace the coolant after only a week, or do I need to run it in my motor a while longer ? You can reply to the enclosed e-mail address, and I thank you in advance for your reply. Bob Adams, Jr.
I have a 06 Jeep commander 5.7 Hemi. Every 9-10 days I have to add coolant and or water. I properly bleed the system and used this expensive garbage 3 times. No water in the oil at all. Mechanic swore this would work and the man at Car Quest. An egg would work as well !!!! Do not use !!!!!!!!!
i have a 2005 audi a4 2.0T quattro. ive had this car for about a month now and ive started to have to fill my coolant reservoir up every week and a half. my oil was smelling funny and it kind of smells like coolant. this leads me to believe i have a faulty head gasket. would your product work with my vehicle/problem? and eventually im sure this stuff starts to flake off, dispersing around your engine. but how long would that take? i need this problem fixed asap!!! any help would be appreciated:)
My radiator was leaking pretty bad. I’d fill it before I left for work each day and before I would drive anywhere. I was having to top it off after driving only 60 miles. My vehicle would start getting hot if sitting idle for any time at all. I used this K-Seal and it stopped my leaks completely within minutes just like it said it would do. It’s been almost a month since and has not leaked again since! Very good product!
£11.99 For a tiny bottle of magic potion from a big name brand, it has to work right? Wrong...despite all the promises and positive reviews it's just snake oil. The company rep told me via email that basically I've got the wrong sort of leak. I guess their "guarantee" is a bit like kitchen cleaners that kill 99% of germs! "Seals 99% of holes just not yours" Live and learn.
2005 honda civic had a leak in the head gasket ( about the size of a pin hole) it wasn't anything to major. No oil in my water, no water where my spark plugs are, no signs to indicate a blown head gasket. I read about this crappy product online and the reviews which all seemed great. I had absoutley no blockages, no clogs, nothing along those lines. UNTILL i put this stuff in my car. Now o have clogged hoses, and a few other blockages due to this poduct. Im also having to replace the head now because this stuff didn't help like the company claims it does. ( the only reason we know the blockages are from the kseal is because of the shiny stuff that's in it.) please don't buy this stuff, it's going to cost you more money in the long run just fix what this messes up
I have a 2007 Peugeot 407 Coupe, and a few weeks back it started chugging when cold starting on the choke. I had already had a new head gasket and recon cylinder head etc after the timing belt snapped only 14 months ago. Then it over heated one evening and I found the radiator water level was low, constant stream of steam and water droplets out the exhaust, so had it pressure tested and found that the head gasket seemed to be ok with no leaks. But if I let the pressure out of the rad system and started it the next morning there was no chugging but still steam out the exhaust, so it seemed a cracked head or block and water under pressure was being forced into at least one of the bores. MPG had also fallen and a strong smell of petrol out the exhaust in the morning, but no visible leaks on the engine or under the car. Decided to try K seal because it was not worth spending a fortune on repairs. I emptied my expansion bottle, drained some water out of the rad using the top overflow return pipe, mixed the K seal with de-ionised water and added it to the empty expansion bottle knowing it would creep into the rad because of a reduced water level within the rad. Ran the car up to temperature with the gauge going up and down until the system pressurised and settled down and the temperature was a steady and normal 90. Once at normal temperature I kept it running for another 5 minutes then went for a short drive to really push the K seal home. Next morning the car started perfectly, no chugging and just as it should be on choke. Now been 3 days, car is running fine, starts great, no chugging and no steam out the exhaust. May be my problem was minor, but the cold chugging for 20 seconds was annoying, and looks like I may have saved a fortune, !!!!!!!! Not sure how long it will last, but its done what it said it could, and my MPG is back up to normal again. I spent a few hours watching 'how to' videos and also videos where K seal failed to work, so my method was based on the instructions and other peoples failures to try to give me the best result by getting the K seal quickly drawn from the expansion bottle and into the system. Now I can look for a newer car with one that doesn't feel like it can die at any minute Surprised and impressed. Paul UK.
My vehicle is a 2005 Toyota Tacoma (2.7 liter, 4 cylinder) My engine began overheating last Saturday. Upon inspection, I discovered coolant had been leaking. After further investigation, I saw that it was leaking from the gasket on the coolant bypass housing. I filled the radiator and it leaked profusely. I heard about K-Seal and your product claims piqued my interest. I actually watched amateur videos done by people who had the same issue and K-Seal worked at stopping the leak for them, so I thought I would give it try. I followed the directions to the letter, but unfortunately it did not work for me. It did stop it for a little while (we're talking less than a 1/2 hour), but then it began leaking again. It's not leaking quite as badly, but still enough to form a large puddle. I am rather disappointed. I was hoping it would save me a trip to the auto shop and the cost associated with that.
I was kinda doubtful about using K-Seal but didn't wanna pull the transmission from my 99 silverado to repair a freeze plug, bought a bottle yesterday after work went home put it in my truck and it quit dripping after running for about 5 minutes, good product
My 2003 Audi TT had a slow coolant leak. Surprisingly I could never see where it was leaking from exactly. I knew the general are but could never find the exact leak. K seal had good reviews and was appropriate for all type of coolants so I bought a bottle and tried it. It worked before I ever got home! I have been checking my coolant level every day and it has NOT dropped at all. I couldnt be happier!
Absolutely amazing product and the only one I would put again and again into any car.. Had a heater matrix leak and was steaming my windows and coolant smell in cabin.. Car is a 3.2 vw golf r32 and I put 2 bottles in car and it's fixed the issue no more coolant smell or windows steaming it's been 2years and do far good
I had a radiator leaking and when I took to my mechanic , he just look at it not and ask me to replace the whole radiator and pay $1800 ... I just left and did some research and I find out about K seal and I said let’s give a shot and it’s really works just spend $15 and save me all that money !! Thank you K seal you guys really make my days and I really appreciate you !! Good job !!
well, i am on the fence on using any stop leak. i have a leak in a 2016 journey with the new radiator type. of course i cannot find the actual leak without disassembling the entire front of the g-dam vehicle. i don't know if the radiator can be removed without also draining the a/c R-134a also. my question is for k-seal. why would you need an entire bottle to seal a small leak? wouldn't a lot less plug small leaks? that way you dont have a fraction of what you put into the system pkug the leak and the rest of the bottle floating around unused in the system. can you provide any insight on how much you need by judging how fast the leak is? i think my leak is in the "plastic composite" part where the top hose goes into the radiator. hose is not leaking. i think the leak was caused by the dealership when they had to change my a/c compressor twice because the warranty company did not want to let dodge use mopar parts, therefore, the DODGE dealer had to buy a/c compressor from AUTOZONE twice. after the 2nd replacement, the belt started squeaking in the morning when i first start the journey. of course, the dealer wants $158 to "diagnose" the problem even though they caused it. of course they could say its not the reason, charge the diagnose fee then try to stick me for the repair because the a/c compressor and parts are unrelated. i have a new passion for my hatred of car dealers! so, do i need an entire bottle? what do you think?
I tried your competitor, BlueDevil, with no luck. Then I used KSeal on my 2006 Kia Optima that was leaking coolant through exhaust. Worked great and have had no leaks for a year and a half. Bravo
