Had extensive discussions with Martyn, and he promptly presented a cash offer within hours for the purchase of my property with the tenant in place. While the offer was below market value, it was realistic, considering the advantages of a quick sale, minimal disruption for my tenant, and the current state of the property. An additional benefit is that they cover your solicitor's fees and can suggest suitable companies, although there is no obligation to use them. I interacted with Martyn multiple times, and he was consistently accessible, promptly returning calls or being available for a chat. I am pleased with their service and would not hesitate to recommend it, and consider using it again in the future.
Started off really well - got contacted and an offer quickly which was low but accepted this in light of hopes of a less stressful experience than selling through usual channels and was set up with Solicitors quickly. However, things then seemed to stall and despite chasing numerous times I was left with no information, updates or contact for 5 weeks - except some promises to call the following day with updates which never materialised. Finally, after waiting from 30th November 2023 for an update/timescale I was emailed on 5th January 2024 (and only after I had emailed saying I assumed we were not proceeding as it had been so long without updates) and was told that due to bad market conditions they would now be only able to offer £8000 lower than the initial price agreed which I had said at the time was the lowest I would go. As such I did not continue. I do not doubt market conditions are particularly difficult at this time however for me the main issue was with the lack of contact and transparency and not being told it was the price that was actually the problem over the 5 weeks I was chasing an update - if I had known this was the issue then I could have avoided my time being wasted and now having to make alternative plans as I was assuming the sale had been progressing and had hoped for a completion end Dec/early Jan. I read all the reviews on here before deciding whether to use this company and was swayed by the number of positive ones - I guess people must have had different experiences but they certainly do not align with my own.
A general enquiry met with very professional and helpful advice. Not pushy or over exuberant but extremely helpful with the advice given. Advice like this is not easy to come by but Martyn explained in a very pleasant and friendly manner.
Took longer to complete than expected. ( not 14 days or anywhere near🤣) Martyn was helpful and reliable and spelt out everything in initial and later discussions. I feel they were fair and it was worth selling in this way to give the tenant the opportunity if they wished to stay on. Happy to have a relatively quick and less stressful sale of the property than the usual channels. It felt fairer to the tenants too. Mostly happy with my selling experience. I received the figure they said they'd pay after their survey although lower than initial amount mentioned. They paid my legal fees immediately on completion too. Re an older comment: this is a genuine review after a sale to Landlord buyers/ Open Property group in the spring. The company was particularly busy with purchases at the end of the tax year which is why completion took longer than I'd expected. Communications were good.

Frankly, very hard to believe the listed comments are real... our experience was Martyn promising to get back to us and didn't, however when he did valuations to buy our properties were very much 'finger in the air' offers almost looking to steal when compared to other competitors, very unprofessional and truly a waste of my time...
Landlord Buyers do what they say - give you the chance to buy time when it's as important to you as money. Having dragged ourselves through 3 years of selling properties the conventional way in order to retire, using local solicitors who have no powers to force buyers to commit until months down the road to an exchange, (which more often than not take place on the same day as completion) deadline's for selling are never guaranteed and can cost months! I chose to use Landlord Buyers because the director, Martyn Birch, came over as sincere, trustworthy and proved to be a 'man of his word'. My gut instinct paid off - our sale was completed in 6 weeks allowing us to move forward and commit to a retirement property we did not want to miss the chance of securing, waiting for the usual vagaries on the property market to occur. Yes, this is a volatile market and there are 'sharks' out there but I found a company with principles and history who 'put their money where their mouth is'.
