We love staying with Latitude50 and have rented in Polzeath, Port Isaac and Rock. Very responsive team and the accommodation is always well cleaned and well equipped. They answer any questions you have during your stay politely and efficiently. Seem to be higher end of the market so you know what you are getting. They are also v transparent and do good deals of properties are available last minute. The welcome pack is always a treat - the Cornish Moo milk is something else! My children love it! At the most recent property, Driftwood in Polzeath, we felt little things that other properties via latitude50 do so well were just a bit missing ie the towels were small and not v nice, bedding not v soft, horrid loo roll and missing some of the nice products the other properties provide. However the location was amazing and the property well equipped. We always find the kitchen well equipped and quality of houses really good with latitude50 and as we said the team are super friendly and responsive. We will book again!
Our fifth stay with Latitude50 and we wouldn’t holiday with anyone else! We had the most incredible weekend away storm watching from our fabulous property. The house was spotless on arrival and the Latitude50 team were brilliant from the moment we booked. The Boathouse is well-equipped and in such an amazing location. We would highly recommend booking with Latitude 50, they have been brilliant.
We visited Penmorcom house in April this year and have just returned from a second visit in November. We had a great trip both times but did notice a difference in our second trip. The house wasn’t quite as clean. The bedding although clean was stained and the house showed signs of wear and tear a little, which I guess you would expect with use. We had a lovely week with no issues to have to contact latitude 50.
We had a lovely stay at Pinetree Lodge, there were a group of 10 of us and the house became home for a week of sea swimming, and relaxing. However our trip did not start out so wonderful, we were told by Latitude 50 that there would be an oven replacement on the second day of our booking, this meant that for about 3 hours work men (who were lovely to be fair to them) were in and out of the house. Although we had been notified of this work, it feels crazy that this wasn't changed before our booking. We would have been able to look past this, however, when we arrived the house was very dirty. It's like it had been cleaned a month ago and had been left empty, so cobwebs were in every corner of the room, dust on all surfaces and picture frames, dog hairs on seats, and the worst was the light fixture literally falling out of the wall leaving dry wall crumbling on one guests bed. We reached out to notify the agency, having cleaned this all ourselves to get ready for our guests arriving (we didn't want them arriving to a whole team of people, workmen and cleaners alike) I reached out to Latitude 50 to see if there could be any compensation for another stay etc as I had already paid in full but nothing has been done to fix this, thus the slightly soured review. Holiday homes should be clean and working when they are rented out.
Mencarrick - we have used Latitude for 16 plus years and always had good experiences. Some properties better/cleaner than others but overall really pleased with them. This year different story, when we arrived at this property the first thing you see is outside table and bench which looked like they had been attacked with Jetwash, and then someone had got fed up and not finished the job. They were a right mess. Secondly, I always look around the property to see if it needs a clean. There were areas around the windows and doors which needed attention to remove cobwebs, dead spiders etc There were a few marks on the carpet and sofa. At this stage I should've taken photos but I did not (even though Latitude take a deposit which does not get refunded until a week or so later) I trusted them to be honest with state of property! Lesson learnt always take photos or video to protect yourself and make sure it has date and time on it. One week after returning from our holiday I got an email from the finance department to ask what the marks were on the outside table and the sofa. My reply was I did not know and they were nothing to do with us. Firstly, we do not take a jetwash on holiday with us and secondly we always take our own throws to use on sofas. Another week went by with no news from them, in the meantime I took legal advice and was told to ask to see the property inspection notes and photos prior to our arrival etc Then a standard email arrived to say our deposit would be back with us within 5 days! No apology no explanation, no reply to my emails! This is no way for a company to treat repeat customers. We will not be using this company again and in future I will make sure we cover our backs with photos/videos. We trusted this company but things have changed, change of staff, policies, who knows, but the trust has gone and so has our business. Also I noticed that a lot of the previous properties which were with Latitude are now with another holiday company. Thank you for your public response, however I can categorically say I have not received any voice messages from your company and would be interested to hear the recording you have listened to. Its a shame that it has taken this review to get some feedback. We would be interested to see how you can improve upon this experience, you have my contact details. As I have perviously said we have used Latitude for many many years with no problems. And last year when we had a personal problem the staff were so kind and helpful. Its a shame this has blotted the trust. So the response was just for the public! I asked you to contact me on 25/11 and nothing, just goes to show my original opinion was the correct one. Hope you improve your customer service otherwise its another company in liquidation - sad after all the good years. 15/1/25 I am still waiting for Stephanie to find that phone message or at least contact us in person! Always live in hope :)
The apartment was as promised, modern with all the facilities needed and small welcome gifts on arrival. Port Isaac is minutes on foot where you’ll find fantastic food, drinks and the Cornish harbour village atmosphere.
cottage was lovely with a sea view but the furniture was a bit old and tired. Our accommodation stated dog friendly but our dog was not allowed in any of the bedrooms, not allowed on the settee or any furniture and dog bowls were not to be placed on the carpets or wooden floor! Not sure where we were supposed to place the bowls! Luckily we brought a mat. It put us on edge a bit and felt like we had to be really careful the whole week when we should be enjoying our stay with our family dog. There were stains on the settee and cushions and underneath the settee was disgusting. We had to wash a lot of the cutlery as it was quite dirty. We were also asked to put rubbish in black bin bags before we left but they only provided one black bin bag. We gave the cottage a good clean before we left as requested by them. Rock itself has a beautiful beach but not much to do there. We had a good holiday overall and I would possibly use the company again. They don’t give you your deposit back until ten days after your departure though which I don’t understand why they need to keep your deposit so long! My other gripe would be the dog friendly issue as clearly it wasn’t and the cleanliness within the lounge and kitchen. Especially with the amount of money we paid for the week.
We stayed at Galena Polzeath Cornwall, a family celebration in late September. The house is wonderfully equipped and spacious; it felt very luxurious. We had a week there and really enjoyed our time in the holiday home and surrounding area. However what impacted upon our holiday experience was the lack of customer care from Latitude 50. One day we returned to find the keys for our holiday home on the doormat outside. These were clearly labelled with the name of our rental - and it was only by sheer luck that someone had not entered and stolen all of our possessions and car! We contacted Latitude 50 who blamed this on a contractor and promised to get back to us. They never did. Prior to us leaving (on time) contractors began arriving to clean the hot tub and begin cleaning the property. We were asked to move our car quickly by a rude and entitled contractor who also insisted our neighbours in the holiday rental next door swiftly move. He had no consideration for us, our wellbeing or that we had just finished our holiday. It became a difficult situation to effectively try and manage a whole crew of people who were landing on site and once again there was no consideration of customer care during this time. As other reviewers have noted, Latitude 50 do not appear to be concerned with repeat custom or engaging with customers effectively. This experience has ensured we would not use them in the future.
My husband and I are regular customers with latitude 50. They offer a very friendly and efficient service. We have stayed in four of their properties and all have been superb. I would highly recommend them.
Wonderful week staying in an amazing property, perched over the coastline at Port Isaac. This house is immaculate and comfortable, with views from every window to appreciate the ever-changing weather and seascape. There is parking which is a bonus. Stay here and I guarantee you will want to return.
Lovely stay in a very peaceful location and nowhere was far to visit in the car, highly recommend. The Tractor Shed was very comfortable, with great facilities. The outdoor pool was really lovely but unfortunately not heated as advertised (very cold) but we still enjoyed it. The accommodation floor plan says it has a bath but doesn’t, was a very nice shower but if expecting a bath you will be disappointed. Great place, would definitely recommend.
Latitude 50 offer excellent properties to hire which include pet friendly which is important to me. The website is accurate and the booking process is easy. The floor plans are great it gives you a feel for the property. The team are friendly and helpful. I have used Latitude 50 a number of times and have returned to an outstanding property. Already booked for 2025 and looking forward to an a lovely break.
This was a last minute booking. First time in New Polzeath (usually stay in Daymer Bay) but was pleasantly surprised by the property and location. It had plenty of space, nice walk to the beach, and is a little bit quirky which we quite liked. Clearly a loved family property. But there are a few things which I think Latitude 50 need to address; 1. Cleaning - the property was not cleaned properly. Unclean baking tray complete with chips in the oven, breadcrumbs behind the toaster/kettle, the extractor fan hood was filthy, there had been no attempt to dust around the various nik naks, and we found an array of things under the sofa and bed when vacuuming before we left. I find this frustrating because Latitude 50 are brutal at not returning the deposit if all is not in order. It's not a big property so no excuse for not cleaning it properly, especially given the check in and check out times! 2. Check in at 4pm and check out at 9.30am - you lose a whole day! This changed from 10.30am and 3pm during covid on the premise properties needed to be deep cleaned. Clearly this properly wasn't deep cleaned (not even moderately cleaned) so why have check in and out times not reverted back. 3. Maintenance - there was a board which kept falling off the side of the bath. It didn't look a new issue. This kind of thing should be sorted. 4. Lack of any salt/pepper/oil etc - again another hangover from Covid, but actually now unique to Latitude 50 let properties, is that there is absolutely no food or cleaning items left in the property except what they leave in the welcome pack. Normally at the end of the summer letting season there would at least be a salt and pepper grinder, oil etc etc. I appreciate the reasons for stopping this during covid, but not now. I'd happily leave salt/pepper/oil/teabags etc for the next person but I don't know if they get binned or the cleaners take them. And its not just food its cleaning stuff; you get left washing up liquid and hand wash but no kitchen surface spray which makes no sense when you are asked to leave the property clean and tidy! None of this is about the property itself (its a great place to stay); the poor quality cleaning is not unique to this property or letting company. Polzeath/Daymer Bay/Rock are very popular, and properties get very booked up over summer, but that's no excuse for sloppiness in cleaning and maintenance, especially given the cost.
Asked for the Annex to be set up (and paid a significant amount extra). It wasn’t set up, neither did they action it for 2 days. Sofa was broken - leg had snapped and was made to look as though it wasn’t. Luckily no one elderly sat on it before we noticed. Glass on clock was broken and shards had been balance back in - the clock was above a door way! We took it down Then they withheld our deposit saying that a towel was stained.
Lattiude 50 were amazing always helpful. We stayed in Roseverlock Polzeath for a family holiday it was truly amazing. The house worked so well for us and location just perfect.
We stayed at the beautiful boathouse recently near Rock. Incredible property and views. A few things broken in the property (coffee table literally fell to the floor when when 3 of us put a cup of tea on it) and the outdoor furniture is very run down. I don’t think it would be a big ask for things like sugar, shower gel or salt and pepper to exist in the property before guests arrive. I don’t think this is on lattitude50 but in fact the owners who are charging quite a substantial amount for 1 week here. Missing a huge trick not having an outdoor shower when you have a private beach. On arrival the property could have been cleaner as we were greeted by numerous spiders, cobwebs and dead flys. The property itself makes you forget all these things but leaves a slighter bitter taste due to the amount you have been charged crossed with the fact you are paying for 7 days but check in is 4pm and checkout is 9:30am! I was told this was due to the fact the cleaning company covers all of latitude 50’s properties but quite frankly that’s not our problem. Feel like we paid for an extra day we didn’t get due to this. Perhaps something for lattitude 50 to review ? We have booked through lattitude 50 before and the experience was fantastic/ property chyanna was super clean. Won’t stop us from booking again but I think the boathouse could improve things to get that real wow factor.
We had a terrible experience with our property that we rented through Latitude50. We rented the Seabreeze accommodation in Polzeath. The main problem was the bathroom floor which was make up of pebbles that were set into concrete for the whole of the bathroom. This caused no end of problems throughout our entire stay. The shower screen was not fitted to the floor and the water from the shower ran all across the bathroom. Dirty water then just soaked into the concrete causing an horrendous smell. To top it all the drain to the shower was blocked so debris from the drain was floating across the bathroom. To give Latitude50 credit they tried to rectify the problem while we were there but the property requires the whole floor ripping up and starting again. On top of that the lights fused if the shower was on for too long and we were forced to use torches in the bathroom. Disaster of a place. Stay clear of Seabreeze. The owner has offered £100 refund/compensation and is now ignoring the customer serves team.
A beautifully clean property with stunning views. The grandchildren loved the piano too. We will definitely be back.
A wonderful experience and stay. Fiddlesticks is a beautiful, new and tastefully designed home with incredible attention to the finest detail. There is loads of space with 2 indoor living areas and a large outdoor patio with a sparkly clean pool which is heated. The house is very well equipped - if we may suggest, a plain desk for the poor souls that need to work on holiday and some more serving spoons. Otherwise, simply superb! The house was immaculate upon arrival and the staff at Latitude 50 were responsive, friendly and super efficient.

Feb 20,2025This was our 3rd stay with Latitude50. We stayed at Pocket in Rock. Lovely clean, well equipped property with great access to everything. Our only issue was that the property has underfloor heating and it was very cold in the evening and didn’t have a log burner ( our mistake as we thought it did). The room stats were set very low in the living area and were locked. However Latitude were very efficient and came around the next morning and unlocked them. The heating in that area still struggled to get very warm, could do with additional heat source, log burner. Would be perfect in warmer weather.
