Stayed in Slipper Rock, in Rock, and had a lovely stay. Exactly what we wanted. Would use Latitiude 50 again if returning to area.
Professional and attentive staff , locally based Si quick to respond and good customer skill
Had a great stay at the property near Port Issac. The walled garden was amazing, an ideal retreat. Overall the property was well presented. However, there are a number of issues that need attention. The condition of the cords for the window blinds are extremely worn and need replacing urgently. There is an extractor fan in the bedroom corridor that runs 24/7. This make the property cold and very thermally inefficient. Also there is not a local isolator switch for this fan which contraves building regs,
We have enjoy this property many times before as we have this time. However, there seems to have been a slight downgrade with regard to furniture and basics like bin bags, tea towels, toilet rolls and others that have been available in the property during previous stays.
Latitude50 have a good range of properties around the Cornwall area. Their online communication is very good. The property that we stayed in on this visit (Sunrise) was sadly not as clean and well maintained as a previous property we had rented and we would not choose to stay here again.
This is the second time we have used them and very efficient as usual
As first time bookers with Latitude 50 we were delighted with our stay at First Light in Rock. Staggeringly beautiful and spotlessly clean, this is a very well designed property that made the perfect setting for us to relax and unwind. The customer service was second to none and - as mentioned by another reviewer - far and above the experiences we’ve had from other rental companies in the area over the last 2 decades. Highly recommended!
Our stay has been lovely, as usual, but there have been a few ‘issues’ with Seaview (house) in . However, the staff have been very helpful and have done their best to get them fixed
I can recommend Latitude 50 wholeheartedly and without reservation. The company has a good selection of great properties and (unlike other providers in the area that will remain nameless), backs them up with efficient and friendly customer service. Great stuff.
Kerenza is conveniently located. However, the property appears much bigger on the pictures. In reality it is much smaller. The main concern is the noise. Think "university halls of residence". Upstairs were unruly and we didn't sleep until the early hours. The cleanings needs improving. I had to pick off someone else's hair that was stuck on (with dried soap) before I could use the shower. The mould in the bathroom isn't pleasant either. The mattresses need replacing. They are not comfortable and have is back ache for 4 days.
We have had a wonderful stay at Appleby at Daymer Bay its a beautiful house, spacious modern well equipped and spotlessly clean, in a great area of North Cornwall for touring around, we hope to return in the future!
Latitude have been very quick to help with any query that I have had and extremely quick to resolve any issues. Can’t ask for more
We stayed at Kernow House in Rock for a Family wedding. The Main House was superb venue and I would give this a 5* rating. However I stayed in the Annex above garage so if you are considering booking the annex you may have issues. On entering the bathroom we were greeted by hundreds of flies, there was a can of fly spray in the kitchenette so they were killed and I cleared them up, only for a second lot to appear which I photographed. The agents cleared up the second lot but we had a few dead flies on most days of our weeks stay. It may be an ongoing problem with flies coming through the vents especially noting that there was a can of fly spray available. We had no hot water in the annex for two days which we eventually found out was controlled through Wifi so ensure the agent has checked this for you . On a final note using a hairdryer in the annex sets off the fire alarm. We complained and have not had any response or recompence especially for the two days we were without hot water, so there is poor Customer Service issue too. …….. Additional information regarding the reply. As mentioned the agent did clear up the second lot of flies. We did contact them again regarding no hot water and their out of office provider did send a plumber who as he couldn’t get access to the garage could do nothing. It was on the Monday that the agent had contacted the owners who gave the WiFi code to switch on the water heater, so surely the agent should have known this and that a plumber was not required. I doubt we will require this type of accommodation again in Cornwall so recommence would have been preferable.
We have just got back from a long weekend at a Latitude 50 property near Rock. It was a beautiful house for a family celebration. We emailed the company during the evening whilst we were there regarding a couple of small issues and had a telephone call back from a very helpful member of staff the next morning. The house was very clean and tidy with everything we could possibly need (except a couple of tiny things that didn't stop our enjoyment of the house). Thank you very much Latitude 50!
Wonderful website amazing property and super helpful staff….cant recommend them enough they even lent and delivered my son a wetsuit on Christmas Eve to allow him to do a charity swim on Christmas Day in memory of our son…which raised £1500 for teenage cancer trust…thank you latitude 50 💙
There's a number of poor reviews for Latitude50, so I thought I'd give my opinion. In my experience, having rented from L50 five times over 4 years, their booking process is simple, prices are reasonable given the price of property in the areas of Cornwall they cover, deposits have never been retained or delayed (we respect the property we rent). I have never had a rental cancelled once booked. Each property has been spotlessly clean and exactly as described. On one occasion I made them aware of a problem with badly cracked tiles on a balcony - it had been renewed next time we stayed. TBH I have never had need to talk to anyone at L50, so cannot comment on personal customer service, but I will be booking with them again and would highly recommend them based on my family experience.
Appalling customer service. They accepted my booking and took a deposit and booking fee and then cancelled it with a reason that wasn’t true. I had emailed them several times prior to making the booking to confirm dates because it was for a special occasion. I now have to wait to get my money back before I can book with a reputable company and looking at past reviews, I could be waiting a while for this. Thanks Charlie, Senior Property Advisor. I would avoid this money grabbing company because they don’t bother to check with the owners before taking bookings and taking your money.
Appalling company. No heating for the whole week we were there during cold weather. Didn't take our complaints seriously and at one point suggested that 'other tenants' had been quite comfortable with the temperatures! Charlie then sent over a graph which purported to show the temperatures in each room over a period of time, implying that we were complaining about nothing. The problem was that the period of time must have been completely different from when we were there as they bore absolutely no relation to the temperatures we experienced. Despite several call visits from so called 'property managers',the issue was never resolved. If they had sent an experienced heating engineer from the start, we may have enjoyed an expensive stay at reasonable temperatures. Our request for some kind of appropriate refund was refused because 'the owners won't agree to it'. We also couldn't use the sliding door that led to the patio area and the hot tub as it had apparently broken (meaning access to this area had to be from the front of the house, and then round through a side gate), but again no compensation was offered. Interesting that our friends, who rented the house next door, had £20 deducted from their deposit because their tiny dog had left 2 tiny poos on the patio area. This company are very happy to take your money, not so keen on giving it back. Finally, their T&C's state that deposits would be refunded up to 10 working days from departure (why so long??) but we had to chase ours up as nothing had arrived back in our accounts by the 14th working day. Shouldn't be necessary. It must be said that the house (Galena Rocks) was very nice. It's just a shame that such a Mickey Mouse agency are managing it as it left a nasty taste in all our mouths. Needless to say, we won't use them again.
Kate "senior property manager" was extremely rude and unhelpful when asked to deal with the appalling state in which our rental house was presented to use. Sadly, the beautiful house that we rented (for over £3000 for the week) was left obviously dirty, the bathrooms smelled of raw sewage and the bedding was unironed and threadbare. Shockingly bad experience compared to other companies we have used in the area. Buyer beware! We will not be returning.

Jul 15,2024The Port house is an amazing property. Spacious (family of 2 adults, 5 kids and our two dogs) It is very well placed. Double driveway, big garden. Very will kitted out. It’s so nice we could have moved straight in on a permanent basis. Port Isaac (or Port Wenn for my kids) is just an unbelievable location with so much to do on your doorstep.
