Feb 17,2017I've had only great experiences shopping with Mervis. I've shopped with them at their old store on Connecticut Avenue and now I'm a regular every Christmas at their new place at 17th and K Street. Their team is professional and knowledgeable. Like the title says - my wife always gets compliments on her diamonds. So as long as she's happy, I'm happy.

Sep 13,2016To be honest I didn't know much about diamonds going into Mervis Diamonds but that all changed after I met with Monica. As soon as I came into the store I was warmly greeted and escorted to a private room. I was brought a cup of tea and given an indepth explanation about the 4 C's of diamond quality. She was very informative and helpful in answering any questions I may have had. I was taken care of through the entire process and I can confidently say that this was the best experience I've ever had. Simply perfect.

Aug 13,2016Ordered a custom ring based on a photo on Mervis’ website of Mervis’ own design. After sending back and forth twice, it is still not like depicted in the photo and the center stone was loose both times, even after pointing it out the first time. Additionally, the settings for the smaller stones have sharp edges, catch on clothing and pick up bits of fuzz constantly. I was sent photos, but when requested them taken at a better angle, I was either told it was already in the mail or got no response at all. Finally gave up getting the ring of my dreams, so instead of being thrilled as promised, I’m left wishing I had tried to have this made locally.

Aug 04,2016What I loved about Mervis was that they treated my fiance and I like we had a million dollars and were sophisticated shoppers. This isn't your everyday jewelry store where you just point to an item and that's what you get. The team at Mervis -- and I worked with Monica who was lovely -- sits down with you and explains everything there is to know about the ring options. I was given a cup of coffee and some cookies and maybe that's what sweetened the deal! Anyway, we're both very happy with our first purchase, the engagement ring, and we've been back to select the matching wedding bands too. AWESOME!

From the first time we stepped foot in the store our sales person, Tina, taught us what to look for when shopping for diamonds and quickly earned our trust. We were fairly treated and got a great deal. Shopping in their stores feels like a family experience with the Mervis's consistently around. We will definitely return to Mervis for all our future purchases!

So much so that my wife has a hard time deciding which piece of jewelry to wear on any given day / occasion. Tina makes the process very easy and knows my budget based on my ten years of working with her, so we're never off base. The quality of the jewelry, the great service, and a fair price keeps me a loyal Mervis Diamond customer.

The family there take the time to speak to you knowledgeably and with great attention to detail. WE only lived in the US a few years, but Mervis still ranks as the best jewellers I have ever visited. Though they would be a very good reason for a trip back to McLean, Virginia........

Mar 15,2016In my first appointment, I sat down to look at wedding bands and was treated very well. I didn't feel pressured, and I felt comfortable asking to see all kinds of rings without making anyone go out of their way. I returned during a trunk show to purchase the ring I had previously selected. It was very busy, but I was taken well care of. There was a bit of confusion about which ring I had selected, and it took some time to get it straightened out. Although things went smoothly and I got my ring and a good deal, I felt as though no one had enough time to sit back down with me and complete the transaction given the big event that was happening.

Aug 22,2017The team at Mervis was so helpful and they totally put me at ease given I was basically freaking out being in a jewelry store to begin with. I looked at a bunch of different diamond options and tried different combinations of size and quality. The diamonds all looked great but what do I know about diamonds anyway. The salesperson Mike had one more idea and I’m so glad he did. He suggested, what about a bright blue sapphire instead of a diamond? It’s her birthstone and I know she’s always liked sapphires. He offered to put it in one of the halo rings I had already picked out as my fav. Seriously, once we put the sapphire in the ring, the color of the blue just POPPED and it clicked-- that was the one!
