I'm so thankful to mobility direct for my daughters (6) wheelchair. She has special needs and is currently awaiting her own wheelchair so I decided to rent one so she wouldn't have to be in a buggy anymore. The confidence & independence it has given her to have a wheelchair instead of a buggy is amazing, she is so much happier. I cannot thank Martin enough for the help he has given myself & Sarah. I cannot recommend MOBILITY DIRECT enough!

Thanks to Martin and mobilitydirect our friend had enjoyed her holiday in Ireland. She broke her foot four days befare departure and we were in a trouble. She didn't want to cancel her holiday but neither couldn't walk. I get in touch with mobilitydirect late on the evening before our departure and they brought us a comfortable wheelchair at Dubln airport and collect it, a few days later, in Dubli downtown. Excellent service.

Hired a mobility scooter from Martin at quite short notice and he was extremely accommodating. Dropping it and picking it up from our hotel. He was also exactly half the cost of another that I got a quote from. Very obliging and I would highly recommend.

Following my foot surgery, renting a knee trolley from Martin at Mobility Direct was the best thing I did for my recovery. Not only did it feel more secure than crutches but, when parked up at the kitchen counter, allowed me to safely use my hands for basic tasks; it also gave me more freedom and independence outside the home. As these trolleys are fairly new to Ireland, you can expect some smiles and comments, but most people I spoke to were impressed with such a simple, great idea. Martin himself was delightful to deal with, delivering to the ward the day after my surgery and helping me with further rental at a good price when I realised that my original booking was too short. A friend of mine has also used him for wheelchair hire and is equally pleased. Sharon B., Crosshaven, Cork.

I rented a wheelchair for a family member to use during our 10 day trip in Ireland. Our contact, Martin, could not have been more accommodating in answering questions and assisting in renting the best wheelchair to fit our needs. We were able to make arrangements to have the wheelchair dropped off at the airport on our arrival and were able to leave the wheelchair at the reception desk at our hotel for pick-up on the day of our departure, which helped us tremendously. Thank you Martin for being so helpful!

The knee scooter has saved my sanity. After 4 days on crutches and very tired sore and frustrated I googled an alternative and found mobility direct. Spoke to Martin who firstly went out of his way to drop off a demo iwalk2.0 but I realized within a few hours it wasn't practical for my needs. I text Martin about renting the scooter instead and he met me next morning at a place convenient for me and we changed the equipment. His service was above n beyond his duty. Very impressed. And at least for my last week in Ireland before returning to Australia I can enjoy it to some extent and keep me sane. Thanks very much Martin.

The advantage of the Iwalk free over conventional crutches cannot be overestimated. The level of debility that I found myself in, being solely dependent on ordinary crutches after my foot injury was so much worse than I anticipated that I started researching on the net. Apart from my leg being immobilised and me not being able to move around, a much bigger problem was that my hands were also constantly occupied with holding the crutches- I couldn't carry anything, not even a cup of tea. Besides the pressure on them also started to hurt my wrists. The 'kneeling scooters' seem a good idea for enabling you to go for a stroll, but still require you to have your hands on the steering and seem quite cumbersome besides. So the Iwalk free has restored my walking ability to 25-30% (ordinary crutches I would rate at 2-5%). It is perfect for short distances. At longer wear, my knees and shin (especially where the bandage starts) are getting bruised after a while (padding could be thicker and denser) and having my leg angled for a longer period would also naturally become uncomfortable. But then again the Iwalk free is not a fully blown prosthesis that would cost thousands. I would give it an 8-9 out of ten in a market that offers very little relief otherwise. Money well spend and the health insurance might even refund part of that expense.

Through an accident I suffered a broken heel. Day 1 couldn't manage the crutches so went googling. Saw the kneewalker and the next day Martin delivered it to me in work complete with basket. My mood changed, I was no longer dependant or incapacitated - I was free to go anywhere. The fracture was pretty bad, required surgery but my kneewalker ensured that I could go anywhere and do anything I wanted. I travelled to and from work by train, went to the UK twice, on a riverboat ferry, taxis, buses and the furthest I brought it was to Armenia ! Caution though over uneven surfaces - don't get too confident - you could end up in another heap! I ended up using it for 82 days and I miss it now ......The service was superb and I cannot recommend this piece of equipment or the company highly enough. Thank you Martin

Two weeks before our planned vacation to Ireland my wife ruptured her disks. We were so pleased to find the service once we landed in Dublin. Martin was so friendly, helpful and flexible with his time for delivery of the Collapsable Puch-Chair to our hotel. We were also pleased with very reasonable price. I would recommend Martin to anyone needing such service. Thanks Martin for making it so easy for us! Wish you the Best with the business.

The service I was given was fantastic, and the product was so helpful to me in getting about. It was delivered to my chosen place on time and collected similarly. I was so pleased I found MobilityDirect and it was so easy to organise via email. Next time in Dublin I will definitely use this service again, and would recommend it to anybody.
