Mar 02,2020I purchased an Eames lounge chair and ottoman and looked forward to its arrival. Unfortunately, it became obvious early on the courier company responsible for delivery was having trouble with transport logistics to my address outside mainland Europe. After almost 6 weeks in transit the chair was returned to sender. Ultimately it was not possible to deliver to my location, however throughout the whole process ModandComfy assumed complete responsibility, keeping me continually informed. The result was a full refund even though they incurred additional transport costs in their effort to deliver the chair. I congratulate the company for providing the type of customer service and support that larger more established companies fail to provide today. Thank you.

Nov 20,2018I ordered an Eames recliner and ottoman for a 'rush job' show home. Unfortunately the courier 'mislaid' one of the two packages. Instead of waiting for a normal period of time to elapse when such things happen, knowing the urgency ModandComfy immediately dispatched another one which saved the day! It was a little fiddly to assemble, but is absolutely perfect for our modernist inspired new build. It is extremely rare these days to encounter such a customer focused company and as such I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Oct 15,2018Was happy enough with my chair but they edited my review on their website to only show the positive points i made. The eames office chair that was delivered wasn't exactly the same as the website picture and I found the version they did send £100 cheaper elsewhere online. Not good. *updated* Re: Reply. That's fine - seems like a valid reason to change the lift mechanism but then say that in the listings, or update your images. Anyone buying expensive design items from the internet does not want any surprises, especially in the details. I was specifically after an exact replica of the eames original, which is what your pictures show and why this was frustrating.

Jul 19,2018I bought an Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, plus a Le Corbusier Chaise Longue from Mod and Comfy. I am extremely pleased with the quality of both items and have already recommended them to friends. The Chaise was easy to assemble. The Lounge Chair was a bit more involved, but the instructions were clear enough. It says you need two people for some parts, but I managed it myself with a bit of thought. The only difficulty I had was with bolting the stands onto the undersides of the chair and ottoman. I worked out that some varnish had leaked into some of the captive nuts in the plywood, so I just screwed a bolt into and out of each nut a couple of times first to clear that and then I could attach the base without any trouble. I have seen and sat in the Vitra equivalents of both of these items at 10x the price and honestly can't see where the extra value is. Communication was good and delivery was quick and easy. Very much recommended!

Jun 18,2018Very Good Eames Lounge chair After researching what to look for in a non-licensed replica Eames lounge chair I chose Mod & Comfy. The leather is high quality, the plywood excellent, the base solid. The assembly instructions could be clearer but I managed without too much trouble. The Vitra licenced chair is certainly not 6 times the quality as it is in price. I didn't have to use the aftercare or support as everything went well but it appears that is never a problem with this company. Recommended.

Very happy with the chair, have only had it a week but seems very comfortable and convincing as a replica for the Eames original. Hope to get many years of use out of it.

May 10,2018Purchased the Eames lounge chair from them last month, excellent customer service and support throughout. Delivery was quick to London, the chair is perfect and an excellent replica! Some additional Allen keys were required over those provided in order to fully tighten the screws at an odd angle, other than this very easy to assemble. Superbly comfy chair and look forward to using it for many years to come.

Mar 13,2018Was sceptical about the quality of this chair (from China) prior to ordering, but on arrival, after 30 minutes of assembling the chair, was happy with the overall quality, especially given that it is £5,000 cheaper than an original Charles Eames. However, there was a small dent on the edge of the wooden seat (mostly hidden by the chair arm) and probably done during manufacture as the packing was undamaged. but a replacement seat was sent out by "Chris" quite promptly. Overall 5 stars to Modern & Comfy for their after sales service, and quite happy to order other items from them in the future.

Feb 22,2018My chair came a bit scratched (not due to the transport). After talking with the customer service I got a new chair 3 days later. Fast delivery and very good customer service. My advice would be to keep the original packaging until you are sure your item is in good condition.

Jan 18,2018I was hesitant about ordering a chair unseen but I am very happy that I took the chance. I recently bought charles eames lounge chair from mod and comfy after lot of research on internet. Chair was delivered unassembled in 3 working days of order and was in very secure packing and as described on their website. I must say it is a very well made reproduction of an Eames lounge chair. No hick-ups. Plywood looks really elegant and Italian leather made cushions are very comfortable. Brilliant customer service by James. He followed up me at every stage of the order. Hope they will offer me some discount for barcelona chairs order next month.
