Was contacted by a recruitment advisor millain roberts, via a job online, was nice to start with, sounded on top of it, and efficient. So wrong was I? Was promised a email that day, nothing for 4days, contacted him asking to send it over on the 4th day? Spoke to him regarding documents. He said he would get back to me , yet another 4 days waiting? Nearly a week gone by? And still i have to contact him for any updates. So as a recruitment advisor shouldn't he be doing some communication instead of leaving a client hanging for long periods of time? When spoke to advisor i got shouted at and told off for not knowing he only worked certain days. Awful company.
I would like to commend both Scout Woodford and Sian Rowlands, who work within the charity/housing section as recruiters at Morgan Hunt. I have found them both to be polite, efficient and friendly towards me. They call me about roles, they email me and reply swiftly. I worked at St Mungos for Morgan Hunt for just over 4 months and everything was dealt with in an excellent way. I am currently in between assignments and looking for a new role/challenge but I am confident that another role will come up and I will be placed by Scout/Sian very soon. Thank you ladies, you have been very supportive in 'unprecedented' times. With best wishes Andrea Porter (happy client)
I am very impressed with Morgan Hunt. Jamie Fitch and Sean has been brilliant. I even get calls suggesting me to apply for roles they don't manage. Thank you both and please keep up with what you doing! Nez
I worked as an FE lecturer with them for over a year, and my own consultant and others seem to act like your friend when they need. I always worked hard and had the greatest feedback from any placement I was on, as well as my consultant always having high praise for me never having a bad word to say as well as recommending me to their peers when they thought an appropriate role arose. However, when it came to being furloughed due to Covid, despite meeting all the criteria, Morgan Hunt refused to do so. So from March up until now, still I have had zero form of income and have been relying solely on my savings which has been a huge inconvenience as I had two major life events planned which they were meant for. The staff I spoke to acted so unprofessionally during my request to be furloughed as they did not get back to me in the timescale they had given and were rather also rather rude in tone at times which was very disheartening and also patronising to be completely honest. It was difficult to get a hold of anyone to speak to in the first place, but after they tried to fob me off with just “we won’t be furloughing you”, until I asked to speak to senior staff to lodge a complaint, I was not referred to anyone who could actually provide me with some form of “help”. This particular member of staff was also inconsiderate and just as ill mannered in their approach and tone at times as they seemed to be frustrated at my request which I was fully entitled to. I was baffled as to why I could not simply be placed on furlough as it was the government who would be paying via the JRS scheme and not the agency themselves. My consultant and the senior staff I spoke to showed no compassion despite being being fully aware of how much I would struggle and knowing my circumstances, which involved not only me having my own expenses and bills but of my mum who lives with me having a chronic illness and after leaving work herself a year and half ago, being reliant on me financially. The final email reply I received stated “I have been advised that we will not be making any furlough payments to you. We are not obligated to furlough anyone as this is a voluntary scheme. We are also not obligated to put anything in writing around our interpretation of the rules around furlough and our reasons for not using the scheme. We have taken our guidance from the cabinet office and we are comfortable with our decision on this”. All they had to do was be kind in return for all my commitment and good work by applying to the scheme as my employer, especially as it wasn’t costing going to cost them anything. The staff are there for you and overly friendly and supportive when they need you in work for them on a placement ( even call you over and over when at work and then again when out of work and even working hours when you have said no to a role offered as “they really need someone ASAP”), however when the tables are turned and you need them, the support and communication vanishes. I was the one left calling and emailing back and forth to be heard and to request information and updates on what they were doing to help their college staff due to Covid. I would never recommend any family or friends to work with them. Compassion and humanity go a long way and you would think that an agency such as this who works with the public would be well aware of this and assist one of their loyal employees in their time of need but this was not the case. It’s even more disappointing that not one of their staff members was any different during this whole process, they all possessed the same abrupt, discourteous attitude. I have also followed their complaints procedure by using the “feedback” tab on their Morgan Hunt page, with no reply. I then emailed them and awaited for them to follow their own acknowledgment of a complaint procedure via “a reply within 48 hours”, only once again to hear nothing in return. I have looked into my rights and procedures to follow and will now pursue this in the best manner going forward.
Imagine the situation... You're having a telephone interview whilst you're sat freezing in a car park as there are no rooms available at work for discreet phone calls. This is your lunch break. You are hungry. You want this over and done with. A call comes, you ignore the fact the agency who put you there just handed over your personal number to the client without your permission (thank god for GDPR) and then you can barely hear a word of the call. But better than that... the fear hits you. If you get this job, you'll have to deal with the insufferable agency who have hounded you for the last week with incessant phone calls when they have been told time and time and time again. You are at work. In the years I have done agency work never have I actually been bored of the agency itself before I have ever got to the interview. I could have done the role with my eyes closed. I suggest the consultant either needs to get trained better or another career because this situation was not acceptable. I have blocked their numbers and email addresses. Kinda pointless when I know they will call again. And again. And again.
Strange company. They contact you on more than one occasion, ask for your information/CV or to arrange a phone conversation, you respond and never hear from them again until the next time they waste your time with spurious requests. Not a company to inspire confidence. Update. Only a day after posting the above, received yet another direct request from one of their senior managers despite having responded positively to all their previous requests. Seems they either can't or don't read their emails.
Had a few issues nearing to the end of my contract with Morgan Hunt involving a payment. It was frustrating and the delays could have been communicated better. On the whole the service was good particularly from Kevin. Morgan Hunt have now resolved the issue and explained the process surrounding the delay and provided an apology. I am happy to say the communication was clear and efficient and would now be happy to recommend.

Apr 26,2021I worked with Morgan Hunt since last year. The staff members lack knowledge and experience. They told me I could be furloughed. The following week they refused to furlough me. The staff provided me incorrect information about furlough. I raised the issue and all they had to say was apologies as I was struggling financially. They act all nice when they need you but when their done they dont want to know you. I went through their complaint process. I should have known all the staff members from top to bottom are unprofessional and rude. None of their staff members were any different. Noone acknowledge what I went through due to one staff members incorrect information. Even the managers were unprofessional and have discourteous attitude. All they had to say was 'apologies.' Well that didnt help my financial situation! Their staff had made an error and they should have taken it seriously. Extremely disappointed with the company's behaviour toward temporary staff! Will never recommend it to anyone.
