Jun 21,2022Motivate MD has been extremely helpful in preparing me for a successful application cycle. Due to the sheer amount of essays I had to write I wasn't sure how to approach them all. However, Charmi has been extremely helpful and patient throughout the entire process. She helped me come up with an effective strategy for the upcoming cycle. Not only that but she also helped me identify and subsequently tailor my application to my strengths while improving any weak points in my application and writing samples. Overall, I am extremely happy with the help and preparation I have received from Charmi and Motivate MD and would definitely recommend them for any pre-meds applying!

Jun 15,2022I have had the chance to work with multiple editors who were all super helpful and supportive. They helped me brainstorm ideas and really develop them into my personal statement. I also used MotivateMD to prep for my medical school interview which was so helpful and I cannot recommend it enough! We did mock interviews together where they provided useful insight to help improve my responses. I am very grateful for all your helpful!! Truly an amazing company.

I was a little worried that I had gone overboard, but Motivate MD was totally worth it. I received amazing support in editing my PS, my primaries, secondaries. The mock interview that I had was particularly helpful. I was provided with a comprehensive list of questions that were very comparable to what I was actually asked. I highly recommend this service for all applicants!

I thought the first drafts I sent in were almost perfect, but realized I was missing multiple details and opportunities to set myself apart from other applicants. May 20,2022Being a pre-med, writing was never my strong suit. Through Motivate MD's help, I was able to convey my story in a way that is enticing and concise. They helped filled in macro-level holes as well, rather than just a grammar check to ensure that the prompt is answered in the best way possible. I love that all of the writers come from such different backgrounds, I have been able to get reviews from three different writers who have been accepted into Texas medical schools, which is helpful for someone using the TMDSAS. Compare to other companies, their prices are so worth the quality of feedback they give you.

Mar 28,2022I initially sought out Motivate MD for some feedback regarding my personal statement for my application. I found the feedback that I received to be incredibly useful not just in a grammatical context but also in the tone and message I wanted to send from my statement. Later on, I decided to also use the service to practice my interviews and once again found the service to be incredibly helpful. In particular, I found the strategies and tips provided to me by my mock interviewer appropriately geared me for my interview day. Overall I found my experience with Motivate MD was insightful and would recommend this to anyone who needs feedback regarding their personal statement and/or is looking for a mock interview. Thank you Dr. Anuj Patel for the feedback regarding my personal statement, and thank you Emma for the strategies and tips you provided to help me with my interview.

Mar 28,2022After writing multiple drafts of my personal statement and having peers and professors review it, I decided to submit it to a professional editing service to get some tips before my application was due. Starting with the positives: The turn around time was very quick and I received some small tips on how to improve the flow of my essay with notes from the editor. However: My editor spent a lot of the space telling me how bad my essay was and ultimately gave my intro a 1/10 and the personal statement as a whole a 4/10. They then offered to help me rewrite it if I purchase more sessions and spend a few hundred dollars with them. Not having the time or money to do this, I used their corrections and kept my essay the same. In the end, I only applied to MD schools and I ended up receiving 1 waitlist and 2 acceptances to some of my top choice schools. All this to say, I received SOME helpful feedback but ultimately just caused me a lot of unnecessary anxiety and seemed like they only wanted more money. I would not recommend or use this service again.

Mar 20,2022I had a few secondaries get reviewed by Victoria. And she was so wonderful. I really enjoyed communicating with her, as our values were so similar. She understood what exactly I wish to accomplish as a physician in the future, and shared many extremely valuable ideas with me. As a result, I have received several interviews during this cycle. I also had two interview prep sessions (both MMI and traditional) with Sam. Her comments were so insightful and she helped me feel much more prepared. I could make my responses much more concise and powerful. She made me feel more comfortable about sharing my personal stories.

Mar 16,2022Feedback is very mediocre and not detailed for the what it's worth - worse than a free personal statement feedback I'm also using. I will not be using this again after my last personal statement edit. The price was not worth it. Will not be recommending this to others.

Jun 22,2022I have never been a confident writer. With my personal statement holding so much weight so to speak, I wanted to make sure it was up to snuff. After having a few people read it and give suggestions I knew it was time to put some expert eyes on it. I can't believe how many services exist that cost literal thousands of dollars. Motivate MD's personal statement package was fair and straight forward. I worked with Jack and Akosua, both current medical students, and they both provided exactly the kind of input that I needed. I received responses from each of my three submissions within 72 hours just as advertised. If you've come this far and you're reading this trying to make your decision- just do it.
