Palmer Lim provides expert advice on a whole range of land, construction and property matters. We carry out residential and commercial building surveys for a whole range of purposes. We provide expert witness services in disputes between landlords and tenants, builders and their customers, main contractors and sub contractors, in personal injury claims where building defects the alleged cause, and in negligence claims involving surveyors. We also advise on boundary disputes. We help clients with the professional elements of their building projects, including planning, building regulations, contract selection, specifications, drawings, and managing projects from conception to completion. I had cracks on the wall, very concerned. Steve approached to my problem with professionalism and confidence, he was analytical, thorough and extremely helpful. Being first time buyers, we didn't have any contacts for building surveyors, however after some research we found Steve. We didn't know what to expect but he was very responsive to all our queries responding within the hour. The report was sent within 4 days of the inspection and was very thorough, he also took the time to talk us through some of the queries we had in which we were very grateful for. Engaged Palmer Linn for advice on a damp problem after being very satisfied with a survey report conducted at purchase a year ago. After clearly setting out what could be achieved from an initial inspection, Steve Palmer very promptly delivered a helpful report on our problem and a strategy for resolution whilst - at no cost - provided further advice on other issues which had surfaced in the original survey. Steve is a very experienced property professional. Not only did we benefit from his surveying expertise, he was able to advise on the freehold/lessee context in which we find ourselves, the complications this might present, and where we needed legal advice. He's committed to furthering his clients' interests and operates at all times with honesty and integrity. Steve has a genuine want to help people. He wasn't available to do my survey due to travelling abroad, but generously gave me a lot of thorough advice to help me choose the right survey and type of surveyor for the job. His many years of experience are obvious and had he been available I would have booked him!

I engaged Steve through Building Surveyors Direct and am very happy that it was him that we opted for. He was happy to make arrangements for the survey over the weekend and turned around a wholly thorough report within 48 hours of conducting the survey. He was punctual and communicative throughout. He was quite happy to go through some of the potential issues with my father-in-law even after the survey. Steve Palmer recently completed an in-depth structural survey for us. Steve was very thorough and took the time to explain all the points he raised in the report. He is honest, knowledgeable and remains calm and factual about the usual and unusual risks associated with a property. Also, as we are pressed for time Steve was kind enough to get the survey back to us in a timely manner. I full recommend Steve .
