While I understand deliveries on 22nd Dec are going to be strained etc, the total and complete lack of any communication from the company - even when the customer actively chases via repeated emails and phone calls - is simply unacceptable. I was emailed on the 22nd at 9.30am saying they'd deliver my order by 6pm. Yep, fine. I’ve had PE deliveries before: usually you get a text when the driver is 10 mins away. The tracking link at 9.30am said “three stops away” so I made sure I was home (lots of doorstep thefts in my area at the mo). The tracking page then continued to read “three stops away” for the entire day. At 6pm with no change and no communication from Pasta Evangelists, I phoned their number and was put on hold for 15 mins before Llue said she’d contact the driver and call me back “in a few minutes”. A full hour later at 7pm with no call back, I called again. On hold for 20 minutes. Finally spoke to someone else who said she could see via her computer that the driver was apparently four stops away from my address. “How long might that actually be do you think?” She didn’t know. At 9pm I called yet again and after another 20 mins of hold music I thought I might be going mad. The auto voice said “press the hash key and we’ll call you back when you’re next in line”. I did so, and soon my phone rang – and the line, though open, was totally silent. Three minutes of silence until I hung up and, against my better judgment, went through this entire hold-callback-empty-line rigmarole for a second time before I gave up. When I checked my emails at 9.30pm I learned that, apparently, “the driver had a route that was longer than usual whom unfortunately was not able to finish the deliveries due to unforeseen circustances”. Not once, in the ten hour delivery day, was the idea of informing their customers via email, phone call, text or even via a working tracker considered necessary. Moreover, I was told as late as 7pm on the phone that the driver was still a few stops away - but clearly that wasn't the case. It’s now midnight, my entire day has been wasted waiting for a delivery (and I still don't actually know if it's officially been canceled or not) – and unbelievably the tracker still says it’s three stops before my delivery. I'm shocked at the poor service and urge the company to drastically improve their customer communications. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Got a delivery through the website for the deal which was good However the panzerotto was empty and burnt and the profiteroles were still frozen. Would have been tasty if prepared properly

Was lucky enough to win a pasta subscription in a competition. Agree with a previous review that the quality has changed a little but I was going to carry on with it every now & then as a treat, however, just received my last box and BOTH the meals were substituted. £30 worth of pasta sent (both double portions) & I had no idea what I was getting until it turned up. Didn’t want either of the meals & I would rather have had the choice to cancel rather than have replacements sent. Disappointing end to the experience.

Tried their Take away and it was awful Received the wrong item: pumpkin ravioli instead of lobster ravioli, that was cold and overcooked with very little filling Support is difficult to reach, "chat" is basically email, with no response for hours Called and had to wait 7 min while being "first in the queue", and their suggestion was to give a discount for the next order *At the end I had my refund, but it took some time

Usually ecellent. I have been dealing with them for some time and have had only one dish that was bland and somewhat lacking in flavour. Good value too.

“Unlimited champagne” or “we decide how much Prosecco or fizzy grapefruit juice”… Very weird experience. We prepared our pasta from scratch but luckily they have ready made ravioli if your’s doesn’t pass muster. Not great value for money but a fun night

Pasta evangelist deliver fresh quality pasta meals to your door. Good range of all requirements (fish, veggi etc). Most packaging recyclable.

I wouldn’t bother. For expensive pasta you’d think they’d go above and beyond to provide a good service. My delivery didn’t turn up, but there were no comms or apologies from customer service. Chaser emails were also ignored. Once my delivery did turn up the meals were correct. Waste of time for some overpriced pasta.

I cannot vouch for their meals, but I ordered a pasta making kit as a gift. It looks nothing like the picture - the contents (as advertised, except for that it was supposed to include an inner box) arrived loose inside the packing box and the envelope with the recipes was a bit beaten up. The picture of "pasta making kits" under gifts has some packing material surrounding the contents - there was no packing material. But it was false advertising as there was also no inner box as described under the kit I ordered. Really disappointing as the recipes look a bit tatty and I will have to purchase material to make it look like a gift. The response from the company, when I reached out to them, was they would share my feedback. They did not even offer to send the missing box, let alone replace the recipie cards (The packaging may only be included in the posher kit - which should be made clear - so I didn't need them to offer it just to make it clearer). I recommend you do not order one of their gifts.

Order placed at 10 30pm ( closing time should be 12am)and accepted from pasta evangelist (Reading). The order was never done, leaving me and my family waiting for hours and going to bed with no food. Not respect at all from pasta evangelist Reading. I would never order agaim and I would never advice this experience to my family and friend. If you like a place that respect their customers, DON’T ORDER IN PASTA EVANGELIST READING

I know from before that the pasta is good and I also know that mistakes happen so if it had been dealt with I would not mind about being sent the wrong order. However, when I received the wrong dish ( I had chosen a vegetarian portofino lasagne and received bacon carbonara) the customer service was awful. I could not get through on the phone to get the correct item sent, I was on hold for half an hour arranged a call back which came about an hour later but was just hold music, by this time I'd had a different dinner anyway. When I followed up by email 5 days in a row I didn't receive a response. I finally managed to get through on the phone 5 days later, I said that if it has been dealt with immediately I would have been happy with a replacement lasagne, but it was now too late and I wanted a refund. It seemed simple, I did not get the lasagne I paid for so wanted my money back but the call went on half an hour before I could get them to agree. It really doesn't seem worth the hassle anymore....

Ordered food at ten to six, 3 hours twenty minutes later still not arrived, phoned customer services as you can't get hold of anyone else, nice lady says nothing she can do, and she couldn't refund us as we ordered through deliveroo, update keeps changing from waiting for rider to rider at restaurant then back agian, we had guests so had to order from somewhere else, if i could actually find out where the food was coming from i would be down there to get a refund but no chance, put it down to a bad experience of being conned out of 53 quid, thanks, won't be falling fot it again

Recipes have changed, quality gone down, delivery times gone up, price gone up, and customer service gone down. The truffle pasta recipe has changed and pasta seems rubbery, not much crispy cheese anymore just lots of mushy dark truffle/cheese. Delivery times are sometimes up to an hour and customer service do not offer suitable compensation. There used to be lots of good vouchers and free delivery as well as better food. Not sure it’s worth it anymore.
