Sep 06,2024Les gehad bij rif010 met shortboard. Pepijn is enthousiast en communiceert duidelijk. Hij geeft tips op het moment zelf, en daarna bij het terugkijken van de video's. Ik heb geleerd wat ik moet doen, nu nog toepassen. Ik kan les van pepijn aanbevelen!

Sep 05,2024Pepijn, is a fantastic coach. He’s fun, knowledgeable, thoughtful, caring, diligent and has great analytical skills. On a recent boat trip to the Maldives I learnt a lot from Pepijn and felt very supported by him, both in and out of the water. If you want to progress your surfing I would absolutely recommend Pepijn. He’s an awesome surfer but what he’s really passionate about and prides himself on, is his coaching. It’s a vocation for Pepijn, not just a sideline. Highly recommended!

Sep 04,2024I cannot rave about Peps coaching enough, I was/am completely blown away. He has a true talent and skill for coaching with an innate kindness that makes him such a special coach. Pep managed to make it feel like 1-1 whilst giving the same level of attention to each one of his students. He always gave the perfect amount of instructions specific to each person without overwhelming us. He is also so kind and empathetic, i got upset with my surfing a few times feeling like I wasn’t good enough, many coaches would shy away from emotions however Pep paddled straight over to me and we discussed why I feel the way I did and how I can manage these feelings better. He was also really good with managing nerves, I got quite anxious when the waves were bigger but he was always made sure I felt safe.By the end of the trip we would laugh as we got a set on the head rather than panic. He made sure we had fun no matter how big and scary the waves were. The group video analysis was very helpful as we learnt off each other and Pep always had another way to explain things if it didn’t make sense. The 1-1 sessions were very constructive and I learnt SO much, he got us to try on land manoeuvres which helped improve my technique in the water. It was evident Pep was paying a lot of attention to our surfing as he always had very specific tips on how we need to change things but was also very encouraging. I have been exposed to several coaches who I believed were good but Pep is next level. I signed up to his Surf Academy Pro programme and will be booking onto future trips with Pep and I’m excited to continue to improve my surfing. Aug 28,2024Can 1000% recommend doing a coaching session with Pepijn! I felt like my surfing hadn’t progressed in years since moving to the Netherlands, but boy did that change after one hour with Pepijn at Rif010 in Rotterdam! This was my first time surfing this artificial wave and I was really nervous. Pepijn explained everything really well though and made us feel comfortable. The surfing session itself was amazing! After every wave Pepijn gave feedback which I could act on right away on my next wave, so I honestly felt like I improved much more in this one hour than in the last years. The video analysis after was also really helpful, and I know what to focus on next. Loved everything about this experience and can recommend 1000%

Aug 28,2024I did a surfcoaching session with Pepijn at Rif010. It was great to get feedback in between waves from Pepijn. He knows exactly what to say to help you improve on the next wave. And his enthusiasm is amazing. Watching the videos afterwards was very educational as well. I got some really great feedback that I can work on in my next surf sessions. And I would really like to take another coaching sessions with Pepijn soon!

Aug 26,2024Pepijn is an incredible surf coach. He coached myself and my 15 year old daughter. We surfed the biggest waves I’ve surfed in twenty years, and I had quite a moment trying to figure out whether I was up to it. Pepijn was calm, reassuring, inspirational, and a technically brilliant surfer. I was thrilled to catch some of these sizable waves and use the opportunity to slow my movements, think, and apply the targeted skills Pepijn had me work on. My daughter had so much fun, and was far less intimidated than me! Time after time, the surf sessions ended when they felt like they’d only just begun. Evidently, it was because we were all having such a great time. Thanks Pepijn. Your thoughtful coaching has reinvigorated my surfing and fueled me with a refined confidence, and my daughter is now more unstoppable than she was before. We’ll be back for more😊

Aug 25,2024It was a very good surf coaching session where we focussed on 1/2 specific points to improve and I got immediate feedback to take on to the next wave. Afterwards during the video analysis it was very clear what went well and what needed improving. With extra feedback on that, I am confident I will put extra focus on those points the next time in the water. Pepijn gives you confidence and overall good vibes.

Two aspects particularly stood out: Pepijn manages to break surf down into digestible parts which are then easier to put into practice AND he addresses the mental part of surfing into the coaching if needed which was massively important for me. And most importantly it was really fun surfing with him!

Aug 22,2024Pepijn’s coaching transformed my surfing. On a ten day trip in the Maldives, I made more progress than my prior 6 years of surfing in California. Pepijn breaks down surfing into its constituent parts (speed generation, bottom turns, top turns, reading waves, etc.), and I was able to go from simply surfing down the line to working towards a full roundhouse. I’m looking forward to another coaching trip in 2025!

Aug 19,2024Pepijns coaching was great, we stated te session with some theory, so that you had somthing to wrok on in the water. When we went in the water Pepijn was on the side of the pool and was able to give is tips after every wave. Afterwards we anylised the video’s that he took. This one session has been very helpfull and will take my surfing to the next level!

Jul 17,2024In May I went on one of Pepijn’s coaching trips to France. My main reason for going on one of his trips was the fact that, as an intermediate surfer, it can be very difficult to find the right guidance. But what a boost in my learning curve this trip was! Not only was I able to overcome some of my fears, Pepijn also had tons of advice on literally every aspect of surfing. What a joy to spend a week with such a professional and empathetic coach, whom you can ask any question you have. I was able to work on my stance, my sometimes overwhelming anxiety and positioning for (the right type of) waves. The video analyses with detailed and personalised advice was one of the great succes factors. The information on the Surf Academy Pro also helped me a lot in my preparation for the trip. I wanted to take this seriously and so does Pepijn. And as I’d previously had a private coaching session with him in the Netherlands, I already knew that I’d be in good hands. The group also helped in that manner, as we proved to being able to create an open environment where any thought could be shared. Dedication and fun where key words to describe this week. My expectations for this trip where definitely exceeded and I can’t wait to go on the next one.

Jul 06,2024I didn't really know if would like to have coach sessions, but this really changes surfing for me. Pepijn is giving focus on key points where I did not know I was struggling with. By focusing on this points, my surf sessions are much more interesting.

Jun 18,2024Great experience with Pepijn. He takes videos and discusses the form and technique. The ability to watch from my movements is invaluable. He also made sure to send notes after the session so we can take a look at it. Highly recommended!

Sep 06,2024I had an amazing wave pool coaching session with Pepijn, and I absolutely loved it! He's a great coach who explains theory clearly and effectively. Over the years, I've had several coaching sessions in different locations, but this was truly next-level. I gained new insights into my surfing! Pepijn’s expertise, combined with his fun and engaging approach, made the experience great. I highly recommend him and will definitely be coming back for more coaching in the future!
