Amazing!!! Siân is extremely knowledgeable but she also asks the patient (me) lots of questions and listens to the answers, she doesn’t make assumptions, which I think is a sign of someone confident in what they do. I’m feeling a bit better already after 2 sessions!!!
I had 5 sessions with Dr Siân MacRae for a running related Achilles injury. I was 3 months out from a planned marathon race and not feeling optimistic about recovering in time. Siân gave me a programme of strength training exercises to build from, starting with resistance bands and moving onto gym equipment and weights. She also gave me confidence to track pain levels with a score out of 10 and not necessarily get hung up on being completely pain free but to keep pain below a 4. This meant I could safely return to cross training and then running without being too worried about possible further damage. I made it to the marathon pain free and beat my target time. Great experience, and would really recommend working with Siân. Especially for runners as she was understanding about needing to keep fitness levels up.
I went in with back pain to Kieran; I had sort of given up on it, but his hands-on approach did its wonder, and I think I am now 90% ish; a few more and I session should be 100%. I would highly recommend Kieran!

I was training to swim the English Channel and after some shoulder and lat injuries, was looking for an experienced sports massage therapist to help get me to the start line as fit and healthy as possible. I'd previously booked a generic sports massage from a popular London app and found the lack of sport-specific experience meant the massage didn't cut the mustard. After some research, I found Emily, who was so well qualified I didn't hesitate to book a five session package. I could not have made a better choice! The massages were excellent. Emily immediately knew which problem areas to focus on. However, what really sets Emily apart is the incredibly broad and deep sport-related knowledge that she brings to the table. Not only did she manage to work out all of my minor strains and tightness with remarkable accuracy, but she was able to help me make sure that these injuries didn't happen again in the future. For a swimmer, with Emily I hit the jackpot in a sports massage therapist that is also a marathon swimmer, biomechanics expert and a swim coach! And I wouldn't hesitate to go to her for any other sporting injuries. Thanks to Emily, I crawled out of the Channel onto the beach in France free of injuries (and pain killers) after nearly 14 hours of swimming. After my swim, I am still going to her for massages and have even booked my wife (a professional photographer with shoulder pain) in too. Could not recommend more highly.

Jan 28,2025Emily’s biomechanics assessment showed me that the weaknesses in my body were in completely different places than I thought. She was able to analyse the areas of weakness by eye and then used video, combined with on-body sensors, to evidence her assessment and show me the degree of mobility in different parts of my body. Fascinating! She’s written a bespoke strength and mobility programme which I am working through. I am very hopeful that with Emily’s plan and guidance I will have fewer (/or even no!) problems with injury this year!
