Jun 14,2020I bought a pair of 5 * 7" 105w headlights for the work ute. The ute is an older Toyota Hilux LN167R 2005, last of that model. The old Halogen lights were useless on it. I was hoping it would be just a matter of fitting these lights and bingo, happy days. Sadly they did not work. So i called the office number of Pro Vision, thinking i would get passed around from person to person. Lex answers the phone, who runs the show and he explained how my older vehicle needed to have a pair of polarity converters to make these lights work. No worries, he sends these out in express post. I will just add, that out in the bush we do not have auto electricians, so all this type of work has to be done by oneself. When fitting these lights to this model vehicle, run some black electrical tape around the lights where the housing holds them in. 3 times around made them sit in nice and tight. Simply plug the light into the polarity converter and then plug that into your light wiring harness from the vehicle. Run some tape around these connections to make sure they never come apart. Everything only plugs in one way, so it is impossible to stuff this up. There is an Earth wire coming from each converter, so Earth these. In the wiring from the lights, there is a wire for the day time running lights. With this model vehicle, i just ran a wire from my parker lights and plugged into it to get the day time running lights to work. They are nice and bright and look good also. The lights are many times brighter than the old Halogen ones and i`m very happy with the lights and also the level of service from Lex. I should have called him first and he could have advised me that with that vehicle i would need the polarity converters, but he was very helpful in getting things sorted. I would have no problem recommending these lights and the service from Pro Vision
