Mar 14,2024Zero stars. Not really helpful, I fell on hard times and my current insurance policy has a pending cancelation due to LATE payments, not missed payments. And this brokerage said due to the pending cancelation I would have to pay for insuance in full for the year. If someone has a pending cancelation due to missed or late payments, what makes them think we could afford a full years worth of insurance?

They don’t tell you the best options, they just want to sell more insurance, whether you need it or not. His honesty about car insurance and how it works was great and I appreciated him for that. I would definitely recommend RatesDotCa to anyone that was looking for a new policy!

Mar 10,2024I specifically asked about HELOC rates (no mortgage), but later learned from the mortgage broker that HELOC rates are not quoted unless packaged with a home mortgage also. The exercise was fruitless.
