Jul 14,2020I bought a t shirt and a hoody online and wanted to return the t shirt as it didn’t fit. It was the height of lockdown with government advising not to leave home for anything other than essential journeys and the post offices were closed or had huge queues. My wife was 9 months pregnant so we were told to shield at home. When I contacted Repertoire when lockdown had eased and I could safely go to the post office I explained the situation expecting them to honour the return just like all other retailers were doing, being flexible to help their customers in this unprecedented time. Harry at Repertoire couldn’t have been less helpful or understanding of my situation and completely refused to help me, stating that their 14 day (which is extremely short anyway) returns policy is fixed and they wouldn’t accept a return even though it was unworn and in its packaging with receipt. When you pay £60 for a t shirt I would expect a level of customer service, and given that this brand (Ami) is stocked in many other shops I would advise people to buy from a retailer with a more understanding and helpful level of customer service and a more generous returns policy. This is the first review I have ever written online, I wouldn’t normally bother but I was just appalled that a retailer couldn’t see that when the government bans you from leaving the house it’s not feasible to pop to the post office for a completely non essential trip risking people’s health. Avoid Repertoire if you can, not a nice business to deal with in my experience.
