Abigail is passionate about children and dedicated to giving them the best start in life. She believes stability in their home life is the best way to achieve this. At Rosebud Nanny Agency, we strive to match each family with the nanny who best shares their ideas on bringing up their children. We aim to make the recruitment process stress-free for you – we are happy to answer general questions and enquiries, with no obligation.
Nannies, like childminders and most nursery staff, hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and DBS (formally CRB) checks. They also often hold nanny insurance, although it’s not a requirement unless they are Ofsted registered (so you can use the tax free childcare scheme, or childcare vouchers towards the nannys cost) They are your employee, they come to your house for their working day, and solely care for your child/children. This means you would employ them through PAYE and have a contract of employment (both things I will guide you with!) Nannies look after all ages of children – it depends on your family! If you have a child at home and one at school, you have a complete childcare option rather than using nursery for one child, breakfast and after school club for the other, and muddling through school holidays in any fashion possible. Nannies working days and hours are set by you as the employer, so are often the most flexible form of childcare. You pay for the hours you need. I had always been used to working as a nanny an hour away from my home, however she found me an amazing job just 10 minutes away! She was quick to respond to emails, always professional and honest with me right from the start. She helped me prep for the interview by preparing me with what questions the family might have. This was an enormous help as it made me feel confident and ready. She pays attention to detail and even messaged me just before I was starting to wish me luck and a follow on message a week after my start date to check every thing was going great. I always felt she was just on the other end of the phone if I needed any guidance or support. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Within a couple of days she'd sent us a list of 7 very credible CVs and we had a fab Nanny start her new job with us 10 days after I first messaged Abi. We originally used her to find a nanny (2021) and were very happy with the cvs she sent, her advice and the successful candidate. We didn’t really know what we were doing, and she guided us through the process. We’ve since used her for ad hoc advice/market insights, which she’s more than happy to give. Apr 23,2024Abi has helped us twice in finding a nanny. The first time was in 2021 when our son was aged 12 months old. We had no experience of childcare but Abi was reassuring and informative every step of the way. Abi provided references and arranged for us to meet our nanny prior to hiring and this made all the difference in ensuring we chose the best person for our son. We had only planned to hire a nanny for a few months but as our nanny was the best we could have asked for, she stayed with us for 20 months. Our nanny was kind, reliable, communicated well and looked after our son like she was a family member. We honestly could not have asked for more! We also needed a temporary nanny on a very short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. It was a very difficult time as I was not well. Abi not only promptly found a lovely nanny for us but also went above and beyond to draw up a contract for us herself given my situation. We will never forget her kindness. Our second nanny was reliable, caring and brilliant with our son. Our son is now aged 4 years old and he remembers both nanny’s fondly. They wonderfully contributed to his development in the important early years and allowed my husband and I to work with peace of mind. Many thanks to Abi for all her help!

Apr 02,2024Abi at Rosebud is fantastic!! We have used the Agency for both babysitting services and to also help us find our long term nanny for our twin boys. Abi is extremely helpful, fast to respond to queries and has an incredible contacts list for babysitters. Every single one of her sitters and nannies is regularly DBS checked and their first aid certificates etc are also checked periodically to ensure everything is up to date. Abi also helped us set up the payroll part for our nanny too which was a massive help to us. We continue to use Abi for babysitting regularly and cannot recommend her and Rosebud highly enough! She is a superstar!!
