Aug 07,2020Not much to say but this experience was AMAZING. It helped me with my college essay process! It made the brainstorming part easy for me because before I was struggling trying to even start my college essay. The tips that were given are excellent and I've took them into consideration.

Aug 07,2020She was great. But the webinar itself was only okay, only because I attempted to ask questions in the chat that no one answered, and tried to put my video on but I had to calibrate audio or something and it wasn't working.

Aug 07,2020I ended up learning about so many things about college, and essays, and how this whole tedious process works. As a junior in high school I think its best to know this kind of stuff beforehand so youre not going into senior year worried stressed out about college! it was a wonderful experience learning more about scholarship owl, and the things they offer. I know off hand I have a college fund, and scholarship money from previous things ive done, im also a part of girl scouts, and do a good handful of extra curricular things so I might have a good chance to earn scholarships, if I ever come across a time when I need money to help pay for college! Thanks again, this webinar was an awesome experience, and I hope there are more oppurtunites for more!

Aug 07,2020The material covered is helpful but the questions and comments afterwards weren't. I do appreciate the materials though. I wish the slides would have had sub bullets under each of the points. The actual presentation goes so quickly, I didn't catch all of the information. For example, the presenter said; "Show, Not Tell and elaborated on a person's quote but it went so fast....I think THAT detail would have been very useful. I think the presentation should be, everyone can win scholarships IF they work and edit their essays. They must choose n scholarship that is a good fit. They must choose a prompt that they can answer. A person must show passion for the ideals and values of the beneficiary. They must prove they are the ideal candidate to win the money = scholarship are work, not trick or treating candy. Do the work and you may receive scholarships. If your grades aren't strong, show how your passion lies outside of the 4 walls of school. What you DO then drives your passion. So, while the presentation was ok- I'm not sure it will help me improve. I think the resource that was shared will be helpful. Thank you.

Aug 07,2020Need to have video questions vetted. Too many of them had questions that didn’t apply to most students. Maybe that’s why the chat was so active and off topic

The two things, though, that really stood out was the fact that you encouraged us to be unique and emotionally connected, and you encouraged us to reach out to our school for help. Aug 07,2020overall it was great and very informative and expanded on the general techniques used for an essay. The Q/A at the end revealed a lot of answers on the things that are troublesome when trying to find scholarships.
