It started out great but after an account manager switch, our sales plummeted during the busiest time of the year. We continued to communicate back and forth for 2 months in the hopes we could assist in turning things around. They knew we weren’t pleased but extended our contract without our knowledge for an additional 6 months. As soon as we cut off their access and went back to our pre-sidecar campaigns..sales shoot back up....INSTANTLY! Sidecar is a total waste of money, but at least our sales have improved so we can afford their outrageous fees for the next 6 months. Their much touted AI system is a total disaster. Sidecar is the most Dishonest company we have ever experienced and only cares about their management fee $1600 a month down the toilet. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I’ve worked with sidecar since April. It’s a great tool that just works. The team is really hands on which allows you to be hands off and focus on the strategy and your day to day work.

I've worked with Sidecar now for a few years and I think very highly of their program. The teams are responsive, the AI behind their bidding platform is superb and we've been able to really grow a strong program over th years.

Good Partners! We've worked with Sidecar for a few years now and have had great success with their google shopping platform. We had poor performance for a while with them because of feed issues etc, but they have really turned it around over the last year.

I’ve looked through the other reviews and I have to say that we have had a different experience. Sidecar has worked for us and we are thrilled with the results. We are coming up on almost 2 years of consistent improvement. The communications are good and appropriate. When we have asked for additional data, it has been provided. We use Sidecar for Google, Facebook, and Instagram. We may add the Microsoft account next. There has been more staff turnover than we would have liked, but they have continued to be attentive to our account.

We used Sidecar for 15 months. We had them test their system against Google Smart Campaigns. The results of THEIR test was that Google was better (but they will try to improve) We told them many times that we were unhappy and in the end finally got through to them to cancel. Now they are having a collection agency harass us and plan to take us to court to get payment for services that they did not perform (we canceled) Apparently this is their new business model. If you notice the positive reviews are all on one day and have a very similar structure. Makes one wonder who is writing them. Steer clear.

Sidecar is, without question, the most dishonest company I’ve dealt with in the past 6 years of managing my BigCommerce store. Their sales tactics are aggressive and misleading. And now they have hooked my company into an expensive 1 year contract without my consent or knowledge, despite their service performing poorly, and not delivering on any of the promises that were made when we signed up. I’ve dealt with dozens of services, apps, and developers through the years, some of them better than others, but I have never before felt actually cheated, like I do with Sidecar. Just to make sure my situation wasn’t a fluke (or just me), I did some digging on Sidecar. And sure enough, there are quite a few reviews out there from other businesses who went through the same situation as I did. The pattern is clear: 1) Aggressively hook people with big performance promises and a free trial (they must have called me 10+ times over the course of a few months) 2) Fail to live up to big performance promises. In our case, despite having overall sales increase by 90%, our Google ads underperformed compared to last year for most of the duration of the trial. 3) Fail to mention at any time in the sales process or during the trial that a locked-in one year contract begins at midnight on the last day of the trial 4) Force unhappy customer to use their overpriced / underperforming service, regardless of complaints. As the manager of a BigCommerce Case Study business, I highly recommend avoiding this service.

The other reviews are spot on. Do not use Sidecar. We signed up for a 3-month trial. At the end of the trial we requested to cancel and they are now trying to lock us into a 12-month contract, stating that we didn't cancel in time (which we did). Performance went down when they took over, they didn't follow direction on budgets, and their reporting was sub-par. If they reach out to you, run don't walk.

Sales guys think we're dumb___ for not using their service. They can go to hell for all I care. I will never use them no matter how many spam emails they send me.

Sales guys won't stop calling. EVERYTIME they make a note to not call us and forget in 2 weeks and someone calls again. If their sales is so predatory, I don't even want to experiment with their services.

Horrible results, and even worse business practices. For the love of god, NEVER sign a contract with these folks. You'll never hear about when it auto-renews, and you'll have a LOT of trouble getting them to stop charging you. But only because they're trying to help...

Dishonest business practices. We signed on with Sidecar in October for a 3-month trial. We had a call in December where we planned to cancel the contract since it wasn't improving our campaign at all (in fact, our ROAS went the opposite direction) and they cancelled the call and moved it to January. Then they said we were locked into the contract until July. Avoid doing business with this group.

Sidecar talks a big game up front but fails to deliver. To be fair, I've yet to find a PPC company that delivers on their sales pitch, but Sidecar really does pitch impressive results; results I never saw. My campaign performance, much like my fellow reviewers, decreased under Sidecar and communication from their team to me and mine was skewed with all conversations and directives coming directly from me (why hire an ad manager if they end up just being button-pushers). At best Sidecar is a team of button-pushers. So if you do not know how to manage your ads yourself, don't go with Sidecar because it is the same thing as doing it yourself but with a deadbeat expense.
