We ordered our solar panels from Adrian we received good communication throught the process and were very very happy with the end result, everything works as promised great service.
Like the other reviewer below (4 Nov 2022) - Legal Proceedings are now guaranteed in the event of non-repayment of an over £3,500 deposit by Smart Eco Living. My elderly Parents placed an order but cancelled well within the cooling off period and sent a confirmation to Adrian Bull in writing (who verbally acknowledged the cancellation request). Smart Eco Living have been incommunicado since then. Their inbox no longer appears to be taking messages. And their office on 0800 63 43 808 has yet to answer any voicemails left. As my Parents legal advocate, I became involved - and contacted Adrian Bull on his work mobile phone number today to chase up the refund - given he has chosen to not respond to my Parents ever since they cancelled and asked for their money back. Adrian shouted over the phone to me; and informed me my Parents would not be receiving their deposit back. A formal complaint from my Parents is underway - to Paul Curzon, Complaints Manager. Legal action is the guaranteed outcome should my Parents not get their full deposit - as is their legal right. This company’s conduct is disgraceful, as was Adrian Bull's conduct over the phone. This company will be held to account in a Court of Law if need be. There are written records and recorded messages as evidence of this company’s methods including requesting inaccurate dates were put on signed contracts. There is also evidence of cancellation by my Parents within the legal timeframe. My Parents deposit will be recovered one way (through Smart Eco Living doing what is legally mandated and refunding monies related to a cancelled service) or another (through the courts - through which applicable daily interest would necessarily be claimed). 11/01/24 update: Following no response to the formal written complaint made to Smart Eco Living (which was meant to be within 5 working days according to their complaints procedure), my Parents contacted Adrian for their money back. He responded to them for the first time in over 3 weeks. After he unsuccessfully attempted to sell a revised service to them, Adrian admitted my Parents are legally entitled to the refund. He then went on to claim he would withhold £300. He also informed them they would only receive the lesser deposit back once this Trustpilot review has been removed. This is blackmail, pure and simple. Smart Eco Living has been informed again that anything less than the full deposit refund (which is now overdue as it has been more than 14 days since cancellation) is illegal and will be met with legal escalation. 8% daily interest on the unrefunded amount is also now applicable. Despite what this company may attempt to present - this feedback is genuine, honest and will be proved in a Court of Law in the form of contemporaneously documented interactions with Adrian et al. 17/01/24 update: As this company does not appear to be registered on Companies House; formal correspondence was sent to Adrian Bull, Daniel Smith and Paul Curzon for confirmation of the legally-recognisd address to which notification of legal proceedings can be sent. No written response from anyone at his company since 22/12/23 cancellation. No full deposit refund. The Financial Ombudsman is now aware of this case.
Guy turned up to give a quote. Went through all options and seemed a very knowledgeable man. We gave him a quote we received last year, he inspected the garage where we would like the solar panels fitted. He explained that because we wanted a switch to automatically switch to the battery in the case of a power cut that he needed to go off and get the costs etc. incredibly nice and Knowledgeable person. An hour later my wife receives a follow up phone call from the owner of the company asking how it went and if the person knew what he was doing. He asks why we need multiple batteries and why a quote wasn’t given on site etc, she responds that all of this information was provided to the person who just left. I ask my wife to put the person on speaker as I could hear him coming across as very rude, arrogant and interrogating my wife. Before my wife hung up the phone he changed his attitude becoming aggressive and shouts I don’t want your business anyway. Bear this in mind if you are thinking of using this company.
I fell for the hard sale and placed an order for solar panels, being assured that I could change my mind and get a full refund of the deposit (over £3k) if my expected ill health compensation payment didn't come through in time. My circumstances changed and I cancelled the order well within the cooling off period, but despite numerous emails, telephone calls and assurances that the refund would be processed, over six weeks later I still haven't received it. I'm now taking legal action (Section 75) to recover the deposit. I would have continued with my purchase at a later date, but now I feel scammed and will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. I gave Smart Eco Living every opportunity to respond to my enquiries, but they simply stopped responding to my emails and calls and I was unable to leave messages. Losing this money couldn't have come at a worse time for me, so very dismayed.

The price was where I expected it to be and the installation was smooth and in the time we had agreed, even after all this I called with a few questions and received help and advice needed to ensure I was getting the best from my system. Great customer service 5Star.
