Needed adjustment but working well now.
Was recommended I try this product for my snoring by an Ent surgeon which I was happy to do. Even after following all the instructions it didn't do anything for my snoring! Alot of money for doing nothing.
So much easier to use than the cpap machine. I feel better in the mornings without headaches. Still tire easily and get sleepy when sitting. I will know if the device is working well after a second sleep study next year.
I have been using the device for several months now and I am happy with the results. My snoring has reduced significantly and I am getting better quality sleep. I used Snore Lab to monitor my sleep each night and adjusted the bands until I reached a level that was comfortable and still delivered good results. It does take some time to get used to the device, and it is never entirely comfortable, however I have found it to be much better than CPAP.
I developed mild sleep apnea following my tonsils and adenoid removal while in my 50βs. Immediately I would be woken with loud snores before I could fall asleep, This never abated, I wasnt offered treatment at the time, however some 10 years later, following another sleep study, I have been offered treatment of a mandibular splint. I chose the Avanti which is the newest version of mandibular splint. This product works, it seems such a simple solution for what could be a grave problem. it has reduced my mild sleep apnea to no sleep apnea. It has also reduced my snoring. It is comfortable to wear. My deep sleep has increased which is really good and I find my sleep is more restful. I feel very happy that I have not had to resort to a cpap machine, which, I doubt I would have been able to tolerate.
my sleep apnoea has been substantially reduced
From start to finish everything was explained and included in the one price. Eg appointments and product.
Sleep quality has reduced. Device is cumbersome and unable to close mouth during sleep leading to continually waking up with a dry mouth and sore throat
Great device and good followup
Great device , takes a little time to adjust to. Much prefer over hire trial of a cpap machine. Iβm preserving and will soon do sleep test for accurate results!
Uncomfortable, intrusive
Produced a custom made device that fitted first time.
the mouthguard is comfortable and easy to wear. i would need to do another sleep study to determine effectiveness
Mouth guard is fitting in the jaws well, avoid snoring
My sleep has not improved since using this device. It is easy to use and not uncomfortable but unfortunately it was not very helpful for mee
Unromantic, still feels like a foreign object in mouth, cannot close mouth completely. Dry mouth due mouth being open a little. Less apnoeas but still occassionally snore. Avant-garde is better but still unpleasant in mouth.
My dental team were excellent in teaching me about your device and how it works. It is comfortable to wear. Unfortunately my teeth kept slipping our of the lower brace, so a replacement is currently being made.
I wish the devices were easier to clean, there are lots of tiny ridges from layers inside which then make it challenging to clean I had a device break and it took quite a while and a lot of follow up calls between my dentist for the replacement to be shipped out
I have been grinding my teeth at night for over 20 years. I tried mouthguards before but it made the pain in my jaws worse. I was then also diagnosed with mild sleep apnoea, which I previously thought only people with a high BMI could get. Recommendations were for botox every 6 months ($600 each time) for my jaws for the teeth grinding and a CPAP machine at night for better sleep - but Somnomed sorted out both these issues for me! It is the first mouth guard that I can tolerate, and both my jaw pain and sleep have improved. I have been using Somnomed for several months now, and I would highly recommend it!

Oct 19,2024This is a great device. Your response to me on Oct 9th about my device having dark spots is likely corrosion or oxidation so I am wondering is this harmful to wear until I get a new one? Also my dentist can not file under medical insurance to make a claim for it so thatβs an issue.
