Feb 24,2018We enjoyed our first trip to Lisbon and Portugal using Spaintop for all the arrangements. Their organization of the entire trip was excellent and gave us what we wanted. The pickup and drop off from and to the airport was flawless so the start end end went perfectly. That was especially true since our arrival was delayed by four hours by snow in Munich. Nonetheless our driver was waiting for us when we arrived in Lisbon. The hotel Almalusa where we were booked by Spaintop is excellent. The room was clean, the staff helpful, and the location central. The private half day tour of Lisbon was great. Mafalda the guide certainly knows her history and gave us a great lesson of the history of Portugal and Lisbon. The combination of her with the driver taking us to all the important points was most enjoyable. The next day Mafalda and the driver took us to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. It was a perfect day. I cannot say anything critical. Getting into Sintra early was the key. We had a wonderful lunch along the water and couldn't have asked for a better day. The wine tour was the next day. This included lunch at the Herdade Do Esparao winery. While the description said we would see Evora, the lunch ran almost to 330pm and we had no time to do anything but drive through the city. The Herdade Do Esparao tour and lunch was unforgettable. We started off with a tour of the facilities and the wine making process. We tasted three different wines and were given great explanations on the local tradition of wine making. Then came the highlight of the day - a 5 course meal, two desserts, paired with four different wines. The food was incredible. We asked to meet the chef (Chef Carlos) who despite his youth cooks with creativity, taste and superb presentation. We ate cuttlefish which was something we never had and it was delicious. The chef appreciated that we do not eat meat and adjusted the menu for us. I had the best tasting oyster that was so good my wife even had one, and she usually doesn't have them with me. I will be writing the winery to thank them for a unique experience that was unforgettable. So even though we did not get a detail tour of Evora, the day went great. Overall we were very happy with what was arranged.

Nov 22,2017From our first email exchange until we completed our trip to Spain we were very satisfied with the service we received. Marta was our agent and we found her to be both professional and caring! She would call us in the US to discuss our plans and make changes as needed. Our trip went so well thanks to her arranging of all the details, from excellent tour guides, to special restaurants and great hotel choices. We also felt the prices that we paid were no more than we would have paid had we arranged the trip ourselves. But we are so thankful that we chose Marta to help us! We are ready to plan our next trip to Spain.

Nov 02,2017Our trip to the north of Spain this past October was arranged by Antonio and it was the adventure of a lifetime. The actual itinerary proceeded at a perfect pace for us. We had experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guides and enough free time to enjoy the cities of Leon, Salamanca, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao and San Sebastian. All the tour guides were multilingual and spoke English perfectly. Our driver Luis was skilled, knowledgeable and made sure we had the right mix of guided time and time on our own. Every hotel and parador exceeded our expectations with regard to central location, comfort, and services. Having breakfast included was a delicious way to start the day and made maximum use of our time. Spaintop works with you within your budget and gets to know your needs and expectations. Their services are available throughout your trip so you are supported all the way from arrival and pickup at the airport (in our case Madrid) to departure from your final destination. I highly recommend Antonio and Spaintop and look forward to our next trip with them.

Having booked two trips with SpainTop over the past year we appreciate their thoroughness, professionalism and their ability and desire to work with us to plan the exact kind of trip(s) we were hoping to experience. We can’t thank Antonio and his team enough for planning another amazing journey for us. We can’t imagine having a better planned or paced trip. We had enough time to see everything of importance and enough time to relax and enjoy ourselves in-between. Oct 27,2017I consider SpainTop an extraordinary partner in making plans for travel in Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. After carefully planning the itinerary with Antonio, our expectations were met. Our group consisted of 11 adults traveling for 19 days and we covered a lot of territory during that time. All of the arrangements went without a problem, everything was seamless and Silvia kept in touch with me during the the entire trip. The hotels and guides were outstanding. The only regret was we couldn't stay longer. If you choose to travel with Spain Top you will have no regrets.

Spaintop is absolutely the best we have ever used. The drivers, tour guides, accommodations and itinerary were "top of the line" and made our trip extra special! Added touches like gourmet meals were planned for us by the director of Spaintop and made the adventure so memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend Spaintop for any travel plans.

Oct 11,2017SpainTop organized a 3 week trip through Spain and Portugal for my wife and me in late September and early October. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We started in Barcelona (side trip to Montserrát) and worked our way to San Sebastián (and Bilbao), Madrid (and Toledo), Granada, Málaga, Ronda, Sevilla, and then to Lisbon (and Sintra, Casçais, Estoril). SpainTop arranged 4 star accommodations and activities for us at each destination. The hotels were mostly boutique style - smallish and well appointed, with excellent service and very nice rooms in great locations. Each stop included a private guide for 3-5 hours, longer for the day trip excursions. These proved to be the difference maker. The private guide experience has so many intangible benefits. It allowed us not only to see the sights but to learn about history and culture and people in a more intimate way. The guides were all high integrity people — punctual, professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable — and most of them were born and raised in the city or region we were visiting. They looked out for us and took their time to ensure we were having a great experience. They offered recommendations on how to spend the rest of our time in the city and places to eat. We never felt rushed or burdensome. Our stupid questions were met with patience. We laughed a lot and learned a lot. It was clear that SpainTop was staying on top of our travels and reconfirming arrangements with service providers ahead of us as the trip unfolded. With the dozens and dozens of detailed arrangements, pretty much everything came off without a hitch. That said, you can often tell the character of a company in how they deal with things that go wrong. We had one minor hiccup in Sevilla when a service provider failed to arrange a horse carriage ride for us. The provider was incredibly apologetic and offered us a meal in the way of making amends, which we accepted. I emailed SpainTop that evening to make them aware and was surprised the next day when SpainTop had booked another carriage ride for us. This minor incident spoke volumes about SpainTop and the quality of the providers they do business with. We are eternally grateful to Antonio and team for making this a trip of a lifetime. Oct 10,2017We just got back from a 3 week trip to Spain-my husband and I and another couple. We can't say enough about the planning details that Antonio from SpainTop helped us with. Our trip was flawless-we traveled from the north of Spain to the south and everything went very smoothly. We liked that our trip was unique to what we wanted it to be-busy or laid back, the places we wanted to see, the sites, and free time. All our private guides were very informative and friendly, with the pride and love for their city obvious to all. Drivers were punctual and also very informative. Antonio was available during the planning process, including phone calls if necessary as well as being available during our trip 24/7 if a problem should arise. This was a truly beautiful trip that we will be thinking about for a long time. The only thing I would change was to stay longer. We loved our trip!I HIGHLY recommend SpainTop!

Jul 18,2017Spaintop made our Family trip the dream trip I had hoped it would be. There were 11 people, 5 of whom were children ages 6-14, traveling on a minibus across Southern Spain. Every single meal, hotel, ride, activity, and guide went as scheduled by the fine Spaintop organizers. All pretrip emails were answered quickly and while on the Tour, an emergency number made it easy to reach Antonio, the Spaintop Director, should any questions arise. I am so happy that I chose Spaintop to help plan my vacation.

Jul 18,2017We chose Spaintop as the agency to organize our round trip through Andalucia and all the organization was just perfect from beginning to the end. Starting with the initial request and our special requirements the agency came up with a perfect tailor-made package and super friendly and sufficient email correspondence, they always replied very quickly- and were also flexible at a later stage to do some changes for us. Their booking system is a very nice software - easy to navigate and you can see the status of all your booked services until the time of arrival in Spain. Payment process by credit card or bank transfer is also very convenient. We booked our rented car through them as well and had no issues at all with that - we quickly got our car at the Malaga airport through the Avis counter and were lucky to get a brand new car. Spaintop planned our self-drive tour starting from Malaga, over Ronda, Jerez, Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada and Marbella - the beach nights in Barbate were our own request - if you look for a very developed touristic infrastructure with many restaurants, bars and nightclubs Barbate will not be your place - but if you are looking for beautiful beaches and you like to be among Locals and Spanish holidaymakers that place is just perfect. Throughout the trip Spaintop chose lovely Boutique Hotels for us - you just need to tell them your preference and budget and they will do the selection for you - something that booking.com won't do for you -tailor-made service from people who know what they are doing. They also included some activities for us like a super interesting visit to a fighting bull farm in Ronda, a visit to the Horse Riding School in Jerez or a private Sherry tasting tour in a small family owned Bodega - in Seville, Cordoba and Granada they booked private tourguides for us, who all came to the mentioned meeting point on time and all of them were excellent guides. We had vouchers for all activities and hotels that mentioned the meeting time and locations and all was easy to find without any problems. Thumbs up for this great DMC which I can recommend 100% to everybody who is looking for a tailor-made trip to Spain or Portugal. We will for sure also come again with them.

May 23,2018I base my review on the promises made by the company at the beginning of my booking. Mr. Antonio Gomez-Coronado, owner and founder of SpainTop wrote, "I can guarantee that you will never forget this trip." He shared his personal formula, "A simple blend of experience, hard work and passion." I can confidently say that his promises were kept! We are still talking about our splendid custom trip that is imprinted in our minds as an unforgettable, delightful, educational, personable, entertaining, over-the-top experience!! Gracias SpainTop! This review cannot begin to relay the exceptional experience we had in Spain. So, I will write just a few highlights. We started our relationship with an email introducing me to SpainTop's owner. He promptly gave me his phone number and links to verify his credibility. From there we exchanged several emails and a couple of phone calls. His extensive travel experience knowledge led me to more and more exciting possibilities for our trip. My main goal was to experience memorable moments with my newly adopted baby sister, Aida and her daughter, Irene. Both had lived there for the past thirteen-years. I was met personally at the Madrid airport by Sr. Luis. He drove me to Toledo where I met Aida & Irene. We stayed at a quaint, ancient bakery turned hotel. I requested a hotel that allowed us to walk to and from museums, etc. We were blessed with the festivities of Easter and happy to be in close proximity to the magnum opus High Gothic cathedral, the various plazas with live music, novelty stores and the exquisite restaurants. After a few days, we were whisked away to the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid. Sr. Gomez-Coronado arranged a day tour to Avila, a cooking class with five-star Chef Fernando Cler and then another weekend tour. This time we stayed at an ancient castle in Siguenza (suggested by Sr. Gomez-Coronado). This hotel was a Parador property that was comfortable, warm and the staff were very helpful. That experience for us was like no other. As he said, "unforgettable." Words pale. I must say that I wished to meet some ancient ghosts, but SpainTop couldn't arrange that for me! Our last few days were in Madrid. We arranged for a last minute tour of The Royal Palace and a gourmet dinner and flamenco show. I give honorable mention to his office assistant, Marta. Turns out that there were some dignitaries visiting, so it was not an easy task for her. Her hard work and passion to meet my needs prevailed. ...the simple formula Sr. Gomez-Coronado told me about. On the last morning, I was picked up by Sr. Javier. We shared stories of our families and of our gratitude for being blessed to experience Spain.
