Utterly chaotic and toxic performing arts school in Didcot and Abingdon. My daughter has been doing Stagecoach there for over two years but not once was she given a part on stage that did justice to her skills and talent. But the bigger issue is that these centres are poorly staffed and over-subscribed. And so it's complete chaos picking up and dropping off children. Also, parents are given no oversight on their child's progress other than the half-yearly stage performance where your child will get one line to parrot out on stage, because there are older kids who are given preference for substantial parts. And it gets worse, when you get a nasty email from the Franchisee manager telling you to behave because you asked for fairness. It's not worth your time and money especially when every request is met with an overreaction and bombardment.
I am writing this coming from an ex teacher’s experience, who worked for several Stagecoaches over the course of six years. As I stated in the title- do not work for any of these locations. I was unjustifiably let go and they then continued to use my picture on their website for months after asking for them to remove my name and image as that’s just free advertisement to them (I’m still up on the Ampthill school!) After working for Milton Keynes, please send your kids here rather than any of the schools listed above- is much more professionally run/staff are much more fairly treated!
My daughter attended for about a year and it cost me alot of money BUT they clearly pick and choose as my daughter was sat with paper and crayons every single time and it was all pointless they're happy to take money but don't do anything with your child unless you're a snob
The best performing arts company there is. Provides your children with the necessary skills for life. My kids are now full of confidence and as outgoing as you can get and had barrels of fun getting there. Ofted was outstanding and child protection policy is top notch; Thank you Stagecoach Sutton
Wow! Stagecoach Hove is amazing. My 11 year old daughter been going 6 years and loves it. Really well run by Rebecca and her team with great plays on stage or in local theatre at the end of the year from Wizard of Oz to Annie the musical. I assumed it was just as brilliant and great staff all over the UK but from skimming a few reviews maybe it’s a mixed bag! I can say with confidence and experience though that Hove is amazing branch and the kids love it!
So far it's a scam. Paid my trial fee, and was informed via automatic email that someone would contact me to setup lessons but no one has.
For my daughter, Stagecoach is brilliant. For her to be able to learn how to sing, dance and act all together on a Saturday afternoon is a great combination and each term brings something new. So impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the teachers too.
I never leave reviews but I’ve had this one on my conscious for a while now to let other parents know of our experience with Stagecoach in Southgate north London. If only I could put minus 100 for this awful establishment that is meant for children!! I took my 4 yr old to the Southgate De bohun class on a Saturday only to be greeted by a sarcastic dismissive woman who surprisingly is the principal! The way she spoke to my child was absolutely disgusting, she made my daughter cry with her passive aggressive manner within minutes of engaging with her it was awful!! My daughter is a confident little girl who loves singing & dancing (she is now at a great performing arts school) but she was expected to just run in the room with a stranger without wanting a cuddle or some reassurance from her mummy! My child didn’t even kick up a fuss at all, the poor thing was so excited to go in & all she did was run back to give me a kiss and this woman spoke to her like she was a grown adult wasting her time!!! Never in my 11 years of being a parent, have i ever experienced anything like this before at a children’s club/school or holiday workshop!! This woman should not be allowed to speak to children let alone be the principal of a school for children! If she can make my child cry in-front of my eyes with no shame i don’t want to imagine what she’s like when parents aren’t around. I left with my daughter in tears and I warn anyone who wants to send their child there. Honestly it was SOUL CRUSHING, NOT CONFIDENCE BUILDING!! How can anyone do that to a child especially someone who is “trained to build a child’s confidence” she did the exact opposite and I cannot undo what my child experienced that day!! Since my experience I have spoken to many that have pulled their children out due to the principals attitude. Also parents have a right to see reviews of where they are taking their children yet it’s interesting that there are zero reviews on the Southgate stagecoach website! I wonder who deletes them…
I have been so impressed with Stagecoach Horsham, and my son absolutely loves his classes every week! The communication is fantastic, the teachers are warm and friendly and know all the students by name and really work hard to boost the kids confidence. Thank you for all you do! I would highly recommend Stagecoach classes to anyone.
Not impressed with StageCoach Long Ashton, Bristol, UK My child was expected to attend alone which is not a problem in itself but it was not explicitly stated so we had not prepared for this. They enjoyed it ok but didn’t want to return the following week. When I said we would not continue after the trial the manager asked for feedback which at first felt constructive but then was dismissive of my comments in a some passive aggressive emails. Not worth the money, local groups are so much more fun!
I have never written a review before but i think this time it is very important as i want to alert other parents. I will give them -5* but it doesn't have that option. I felt that their was not much effort put in by the staff as their was more than 50(4-6year) kids in one batch to manage.I'm not happy with the kids performance on the last day of the term in Watford parmiters. 50 kids on stage was chaotic. It was looking like a horse stable. Not organised and leaving 2-3 kids no other kid were given chance to perform after full term practice. Even the staff themselves were not organised and their was no direction. Kids didn't learnt anything and it's not only us...we saw lot of other unhappy parents who were complaining because of dissatisfaction.
I went on a holiday course and it was amazing. Before, i wasn't confident at all in my dancing, and acting was definitely not my strong point. But, I improved massively not just in ability but in confidence to, and the 14 other people I did the course with are now friends for life.
I tried to get my daughter in the Stagecoach Wakefield classes, I think they are racist. I emailed the school but do not get response at all. The prices are also absolutely outrageous I don’t know why parents pay for it. Terrible experience will look elsewhere.
Horrible experience. The summer show has been announced and in the end my daughter did not even get a role. It ruined her self confidence and she did not want to attend the classes at all. And this supposed to boost it. I would not recommend, teachers do not care about children. I really regret with my choice to go with Rugby stagecoach. Awful...
Our 4yr old was preparing for term show and they totally destroyed her confidence on the day of the show by not even bothering to line her up to perform and she was totally confused as to why she wasn't called in. When we queried the teachers as to what had happened - the teachers said - "the teachers didn't really remember her name" etc The teachers at Watford Parmiters branch indulge in a lot of favoritism - which was quite clear to see based on the way they had planned the show. There's clear lack of empathy from teachers towards children they feel aren't part of the selective group. Pls think carefully before sending any of your children.
Absolutely disastrous management. My kid was practicing for the show for over a month and on the show day the teacher forgot to call her on stage. When asked why it happened, they bluntly said they have to take care of 60 kids and some kids miss out. And the response by Emily who manages it was very rude and looked racist.
My daughter has been attending Stagecoach Woking since just before she turned 4 (she’s 10 now) and absolutely loves it. She’s gained such confidence and is developing skills which will help her in any profession she chooses down the road. Stagecoach Woking’s teachers are at the top of their game, encouraging creativity but also offering true vocal and dance lessons. My child loves the stage experiences as well. We moved from 5 miles to 35 miles away last year but drive that extra bit further every weekend because it’s worth it!
I have been attending stagecoach for almost 5 years and I absolutely love it! I can’t believe have supportive they all are at Stagecoach, Mansfield! First of all the amount of opportunities they provide outside of Stagecoach is immaculate - for example, I am now going to audition for a role at the Mansfield Palace Theatre because of this school and this is just one of the many opportunities they have given us. The teachers are very understanding of our generation and are always there to support us mentally, wishing us luck on exams and just generally making sure we feel good in ourselves. Every week, the only thing I look forward to is the last lesson on a Friday. Not only because it is the end of school, but because I get 3 hours of Stagecoach!! Even with everything I have said in these paragraphs, words cannot begin to describe how much I love it there and I wouldn’t give this club up for the world. Stagecoach, Mansfield.
Fantastic staff with a real passion for performance arts. Great opportunities offered for kids in an inclusive setting. Kids really enjoy the sessions and build up to an entertaining end of term show.

Apr 24,2024Stagecoach Abingdon is amazing. Not only is it run like clockwork but the kids love it, gain so much confidence and get the chance to perform on both the amateur and professional stage. To see the faces of the children light up each week is the reason this school exists. Well done everyone.
