Mar 09,2024TL;DR — steel is fine and to spec, customer experience was frustrating Received email saying materials were ready for pickup. I showed up and was sent to pickup bay. I was a non-commercial customer doing a small lot pickup and it’s obvious your shop doesn’t know how to handle that, which is weird because you literally have an internet storefront with full self-service ordering. After showing up in the bay, there was a ton of confusion about my order until one worker took my invoice and made sense of it. I think waited another 30 minutes, in the bay, for my cut material to be delivered. This entire time I didn’t really have an idea of what to expect and nothing about my entry, visiting cashier, or interactions in the bay suggested i’d have to wait around for an extra 30 minutes because was only “ready” according to a special definition that exists in someone’s head. I’m glad I got everything to spec, hence the three stars, but customer service needs work and I would guess management really doesn’t care or is happy to focus on commercial customers. If this “normal” for everyone, then doubly so management doesnt care about business process or analyzing how to increase throughput and customer experience while maintaining safety.
