My mom has been a customer of the Main St. Anderson, SC branch for 6 years, always paying on time, continuously getting called and sent letters of thanks asking her to get more loans. The company had respectful and professional people in the office, but they are no longer there. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and my mom has been helping me and my children out, which caused her to be 2 weeks late on her payment. Instead of ignoring the calls and mail she would receive, she reached out to them after only being a couple days late to let them know she had consolidated her bills with a company that has way less interest rates and works with an attorneys office. A woman who works in Anderson, Rachel, was incredibly rude to my mom, demanding she come in that day and every day since, and would not listen to reason. She has bombarded my mother's phone, my phone (we got into it because she was very patronizing and bossy and I told her not to call my phone again but she is), and my mom's work, which is extremely unprofessional. She then sent my mom a little note in the mail threatening to tell the credit bureaus she is over 90 days late, when we have the receipt for paying her ON TIME in January. It is now February and last time I checked that was not 90 days ago. Rachel is very unprofessional, rude, and dishonest. She should be ashamed of herself for treating a senior citizen with such contempt, all because she had a big heart and wanted to help out her daughter with cancer and her children get by when I was unable to work or get out of bed after having most of my liver and my gallbladder removed.
I have had a few loans from this company. The first couple of times, I had a decent experience, besides the insane amount of interest they charge). This last loan I took out in November, I noticed new employees, but same manager. Dillon, the manager has always been kind to me. Today, he was out of the office, I called to pay off my loan. Kelly, one of the employees there had quoted me a payoff amount 5 days prior, and said as long as I pay it by today, that is what the pay off would be. When I called in this morning, i was given a different amount, almost one hundred dollars more. I questioned her as to why I would be paying almost a hundred dollars more than she originally told me. Kelly explained to me that when she said "by the 22nd" she meant it had to be paid "BEFORE the 22nd." Then, wanted to argue with me telling me that "by" and "before" meant the same thing and I just misunderstood. (I definitely did not misunderstand anything). When I pushed further to get a reasonable explanation as to why the amount increased almost 100 dollars in 5 days time, she became hostile, yelling and eventually hung up on me. I called back and asked her why she would hang up on a customer trying to pay a debt, she stated she did not hang up on me. I let her know at that time, the previous conversation as well as this conversation was being recorded. She became very hostile at that time, and yelling "that is illegal, you cannot record me". (which is not accurate, only one party has to know about a recorded conversation, not both parties...a quick google search will explain that.) She then immediately put me on hold. The 100 dollar increase is sketchy enough, but her becoming so hostile when I am questioning why there was such an increase when she told me there would not be an increase until later on in the month, seems like maybe they are adding charges that should not be there and don't like being questioned about the charges...and definitely get outraged when phone calls are recorded. I guess so they can lie and deny things. This business is shady. I will never do business with them again. As a loyal customer that always paid the debt without any issues, and paid all but one loan off extremely early, I will take my business to a trustworthy bank that has employees that can handle their attitudes/tempers. Had she just admitted that she misspoke, I would have immediately understood what the issue was rather than asking her to explain it. Instead she decided to become defensive, blame and then verbally abuse the customer when a simple honest explanation would have cleared up the misunderstanding.

IM A BLACK MAN. MY NAME IS MARCO TYRONE RENFROE. I HAVE A.1. CREDIT. KEISHA GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND AT LEAST 5 TIMES BEFORE SHE SMIRKINGLY STATED THAT THEY CANT HELP ME NOW. I HAD ALL MY DOCUMENTS. THEY WANTED MY LANDLORDS NUMBER AND MY VEHICLE REGISTRATION. THEY ALREADY HAD MY SOCIAL, MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND MY FINANCIAL MONTHLY AMOUNT, THAT ALOTS ME TO PAY A $550 LOAN WITH ABSOBLUTELY NO PROBLEM. I STATED TO KEISHA SOMETHING ABOUT HER HAIR STYLE, THAT IT MADE HER LOOK YOUNGER. SHE VOLUNTARILY WENT ON A RANT ABOUT HOW OTHER PPL HAVE STATED THE SAME THING AND ABOUT HOW SHES A MASTER COSMETOLOGIST AND HOW SHE PLAYS AROUND WITH DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLES AND HOW HER HUSBAND LOVES IT. I WAS SHOOK, BECAUSE I WASNT TALKING ABOUT HER PRESENT HAIRSTYLE. I TOLD HER NO! DARLING. IM NOT SPEAKING IN REFERENCE OF YOUR CURRENT HAIRSTYLE. YOUR HAIRSTYLE BEFORE THIS ONE, "MADE YOU LOOK YOUNGER." SHE SEEMED A BIT BESIDES HERSELF. I REACHED ONTO APRIL SAYRE DESK,WITH SILENT PERMISSION AND GOT A CARD TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW. EARLIER APON RETURNING AND ASKING WHERE COULD I LEAVE A REVIEW. KEISHA SAID ONLY THE MANAGER KNOWS THAT INFORMATION---SMUGGLY AND DISMISSING MIGHT I ADD . They don’t work with you or take notes when you tell them that you are layed off from work an you tell them when you go back an they start call everybody an they know your number it unprofessional

My experience with flight was great the ladies were very helpful and were the kind of people you would like to do business with and also you get a courtesy call prior to your due date I'd recommend this place to anyone who needs a lil help

They are sending out unsolicited live checks, trying to get people to take out a loan with them. This is a major red flag, since it would easily allow fraud. I will never work with this company, and I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to work with them, as well.
